Great BTS and instructional. i just think you should show short clips of the shots you got immediately after showing the lighting setup so we don't have to refer back to the beginning of the video. Also, the 1200D's on the final scene --- did you have to blast them at 100% or did you just want the extra power just to have it? Wondering if the 600D's would have been enough for that type of scene.
@@chrisajtony no problem. Great lighting btw. Love the moody vibes in the scenes. Can I get an answer on the question about the 1200D? I'm wondering if my 600W lights would suffice for a look like that or would I have to upgrade to 1200.
Totally! We had the 1200D cut in half I believe for the first scene where the dad walks in. But to balance the outside exposure for the dinner scene we had them close to full blast because we need every stop of light we could get
Yea exactly! The clip I put in this video isn’t a great example because quickly graded it myself but the data is there to drop down the outside exposure to bring back the details. One day it’ll be way cheaper! Especially with Aputure and Nanlux new 2400 lights! Things are getting crazy. They are almost like 4K hmis
Great video! For my personal taste, you went a little too dark. I know that this is the trend, but I think we've reached maximum saturation of spots that are really dark and the use of wide angle lenses on faces. Soon the new trend may be bright scenes with long lenses. Haha. Every DP's work looks the same. Honestly man, you're a talented DP, but all your lighting looks the same in all your videos. Change it up a little. Cheers!
This is exactly what i needed when I was starting out. Chris is just sharing golden nuggets at no cost 🤯THANK YOU!!!
Love you Philipb
Would love to see your editing/color grading workflow. Great stuff 👍

@@chrisajtony I figured. You were using ND's to level out the outside exposure, I'm assuming. Great work. If only powerful lighting was cheaper. Lol.

Great
Thank you!
Love the video!
Maybe consider going easy on the AI audio processing? It was just a tad distracting in a few clips.
Totally agree! Thanks for the deebback
@@chrisajtony Keen to see more from you!
Great video! However i have a suggestion to improve your thumbnail, add a thick black border on your text and it will be much more clickable!
Thank you for the feedback!
one question can you eat the food
Absolutely!!!

I think it’s so subjective to what looks good to each of us. But thank you for the feedback!
