  • Thinking of leaving America for greener pastures? Or maybe just thinking about a trip to Thailand soon? Of course every country has it's goods and bads. This is true for Thailand and America alike. But it's no question that a lot of Americans are looking for some improvements to their daily life, and are looking towards countries like Thailand in hopes of that. Daily life in Thailand is of course MUCH different than what you're probably used to at home. From the in's and out's of Thailand culture, to what life will be like when you're living off solely Thai food. Is Thailand the answer for you? In today's video I'm sharing a few things that I believe Thailand just does BETTER than America and how I think they can help to improve your daily life and mental health like they have mine. Let's do it!

So many great points in this. My favorite was that sense of community. I’m a bit of an early riser (20 years working 9 - 5 proving hard to shake off) and I head out to my local coffee shop for an iced latte around 8am. Every morning I’m inundated in the best way with “good morning, hello Michael, off to get your latte, aloy”. I feel like the people in my community here are happy to see me and talk to me everyday. I very much feel like I’m part of this Thai community.
The stress-less money situation here is life altering. Don’t get me wrong, you can still have slight money problems but it’s usually due to excess in other departments. But I’ve never once had to worry about my monetary well being here. It’s such a relief.
I’d like to move to Jomtien just to get the rent down even lower but other than that… I’ve been living the dream for 3 months and counting now. ❤️
I give a lot of the credit to you my pal. 😊

After spending 3 months there, I came home and when my sister saw me for the first time she asked if I had work done. Just because the fun and relaxation helped me.

My wife and I were recently in Thailand and it was wonderful; the Thai people were beautiful, internally beautiful. Quite the reverse culture shock coming back to the US.

Coming from the U.S. to Jomtien, I couldn't agree more. And I bet a lot of viewers would say the same who visit or stay from Ireland, Australia, England, and I've even heard Canadian expats say similar

You can substitute Canada for America and the same applies. We’re back on the East coast of Canada getting our affairs in order so we can make the move back to Thailand. Can’t wait!!!!!

Spot on Ian in this video.
That sense of community is number one.
In the condo complex where I live in Jomtien, every time that I return home to View Talay there is someone who always waves to you or says hello in English or in Thai.
You just always feel welcome, included, and part of the community.

👍absolutely so true! I love ❤ Thailand and the people...they let you be you. Unfortunately, people in America have been so rooted in their opinions lately it’s become divided where other viewpoints are irrelevant. The good ol’ USA will always be home but I wish it was more united based on its principles and not divided on differing opinions.

I've lived in a large apartment building for 4 years now, share the elevator all the time, and STILL have never seen anyone bringing home groceries.

I retired here in Chonburi from America a few months ago. I am so much happier here. It is not any one thing, but more like 100 things. A trip last fall started the ball rolling.
I managed to avoid that sick thing both when visiting and moving here. Although not all food digests the same...
