I loved Raphtalia’s tail wags of happiness from having a close moment with Naofumi. Then her arm sinking into Filo’s feathers & falling asleep on her knees was a hella adorable moment.

If you've ever seen a bird puff up when cold or trying to dry off, you would know that this level of fluff is actually realistic compared to her body size.

@@Boxish Additionally, if the clothes he is wearing is actually cloth armor, such as a gambison, it would actually provide horrible insulation on account of being all layered cloth with no dead air space between the layers.
I once had a blanket like that. I could wrap it around me ten times and I'd still wake up freezing

Melty having her hair all natural is really damn pretty. She Could Rock that hairstyle and still be an adorable badass.

Effect: Spreads feathers within area causing lethargy or sleep status to affected enemies.
2nd Effect: Increases recuperative affects of sleep for 1-8 hours by 100% but makes those affected harder to wake up. Time span adjustable.
Students going through medical school would love the second effect as much as they love coffee.
Everytime I see this moment, I'm always baffled by Raphtalia's maturity (considering, she's chronologically 10 years old). Let's take to the account, just how much suffering Raphtalia had been through (yeah, as far as anime progressed, we weren't supposed to know that, at this point), dealt by human hands, no less, it wouldn't be surprising, if she'd been even more aloof to Melty's presumed death, than Naofumi was, but that wasn't the case. Seriously, Raphtalia is cutest thing there is, but it is her moral excellence, and emotional maturity, that makes her the waifuest of all waifus.

It actually makes sense, if you think about it. The bodies of many birds look much larger than they really are because they have deep, fluffed out plumage. If you were to hypothetically pluck out all their feathers, their bodies would look a lot smaller.

Well from experience with other rpgs it might just grant a shield that allows use of "slow fall" and/or turns it into a pillow shield. Hey if it's gonna be stuck to him it may as well make itself less inconvenient while sleeping.

I know this was for laughs but think what Naofumi has gone through, still goes through, and you’d understand his mind going at survivor mode at warp speed.
