I have a gold clipper. It's been in my pocket everyday for 2 years or almost 2 years. It got a really nice patina to it. The gold more like lightened up in some spots. But no flaking of paint. You can still tell on mine its gold but very light gold. Some spots it still bright gold.

I love my metal clipper, have had it for a little while now. The metal finish does start to wear after a while, but it looks great. Also, they managed to forego the 'child safe' hexagonal striking wheel for the original circular striking wheel, which is just an added bonus as you can't buy a normal clipper now without the hexagonal wheel.

Yes yes, very good. BUT. I have two of them. One is the jet flame version and the other is the soft flame pipe lighter version (angled flame). The problem I am having with the soft flame pipe lighter version is the spark and gas seem to be out of sync. I’ve changed the flint, change the wheel, stretched the flint spring, yet I still have crank it for ages to get it to light. Sometimes it works on the second turn of the wheel but usually it takes loads of sparking before it lights. Sometimes I have to resort to two hand or to thumb operation to get is to light. It’s a lovely looking lighter, the flame adjuster at the bottom is a very nice feature but I am just so disappointed with the hit and miss performance.

    Hello,
I have paid a lot of money for an
    metal clipper.
But unfortunatly not everything seems right.
On the bottom it is with FLAMAGAS
The A letters looks good but the
thing is it is missing after Flamagas the SA letters
Other thing it does not have the spring blow the
gas lever. I can see the place where the spring should
be when I remove the flint system but there is no spring below.
    It feels heavy.
And it is the metal silver chrome one.
And other thing the flint system is about about 1.65inch but only the plastic part, its bigger if you add the wheel.
And what only seems to be right messure ment is the wheel for
adjustment it has exactly 10mm space.
I bought it from Portugal online.
Can you please tell me if this is fake clipper??
    Thanks

I bought two of these because all my plastic Clippers have been awesome but I get the tiniest, most useless flame on both of them at maximum adjustment, barely enough to light a smoke off of.
