I have a right handed version and I really love mine. I have the spool tension quite loose, and pe 0.1 on it. Changed to different handle knobs ( daiwa zaion copy's) As long as I don't play much around with the spool tension, it's really good. If I do touch the tension knob it takes some time to make it find it's place again. And the bearings are quite noisy. But it makes tiny lures fly like nothing else.
My slop is minimal but is there I used 1 oring from old reel then a thin oring same size as rim of cap. It helped stabilize just before spool tension touches. Will know tomorrow.
From Japan. The comments are automatically translated, so I'm sorry if it's hard to understand. I also bought this reel. Although it is a little difficult to adjust the spool tension and the drag adjustment range is small, it is very lightweight and I think it is a good reel considering the price. I watched your video and the growling sound when casting is the same, so it seems like this is not an individual difference.
One day thr other week i did a bunch of phenominal caats in a row. I guess the spool tension pin was sitting in the right spot. Also as a mod i took out the tension wafer and put thicker double sided tape underneath it.
I think you got lucky with your copy. There is a reason they pulled them . They also said its a problem with the right handed version to Blake when he asked them for a refund/replacement.
I will see how it does with lighter lures as is. If it needs them I will give it a go after fishing with it for a while. Some Roro bearings would certainly be quieter🤣
And yet another first! 🙌🙌🙌
Go to bed

Interesting. I will probably switch out handles
The real is very good if you put a O-Ring in between the knob and the body of the reel, I hope they fixed it and put it back on sale.
Here’s hoping. I might do a comparison between this and the new Taigek.
I have been waiting. Thank you CA I believe mine will throw good with only oring.
You got lefty or righty Patrick?
Lefty

Good to know. Here’s hoping it works
Great video with great information. Thanks
Glad you liked it

It is a noisy reel but it casts so well I can forgive it.

thank you for your reply.
A cast of BFS reel reviewers like you is very helpful to me.
@user-so8hp4mg7l glad I could help

Like that idea. It doesn’t half cast well.

Mines going back as soon as they release the “Upgraded” version
@@Blakejames24 never seen you comment in my videos :p
That might explain it. It’s by no means perfect. If they can sort things it will be a decent little reel.
@@yep.fishing 🤣🤣 thought I better make an appearance
@@TheConstantAngler I really hope they have taken in all the feedback from everyone and really nut the reel out to be a little beauty
I am still loving mine fixed with a oring.
Makes me smile every time I cast it
The oring under the cap does work good CA
Great. I do like mine
You plan to switch out bearings at all? Seem ok. That thing casting as is looks good.
