Me too, I grew up with these visuals, but I never used Vista, it was 7, and we would watch DVDs with the Media Centre programme running on a Dell Optiplex 780 USFF. I miss those days a lot.
@@pokemongamer1587 No. I can send you a link to the project red download. You need Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 though. Edit: Happy 1st of April, but my info isn't a joke.
i dont know if its the hardware acceleration in my graphics card but whenever i startup the media center it dosent show the green windows logo it kinda just boots up to the menu and thats it

This version of Windows Media Center was always my favorite. As a bonus it supported Windows SideShow.

I knew I wasn’t the only one.
I would be happy if Windows 7 has this intro
Same here.
@@FamtechVideos unless you go to windows 7 betas
@@michelabrami That's a good video idea.
Windows Vista is the only media center with very nice sounds. Microsoft literally screwed up Windows 7’s Media Center.
I agree.
True😞
@@FamtechVideosSame bro☹️
Nice
I miss the vista
Me too.
Idk why so many ppl hated it
@@JuliansStuffRoblox Due to a bunch of bugs and hardware at the time of release was underpowered. Also driver issues.
I miss this era of technology where everything looked welcoming and pleasing. Now it's just lazy 2D icons

I just dual-booted windows vista and windows 7.
Nice! I used 4 operating systems at once at that point. Windows Vista, 7, 8.1, and 10.

Wow is that the product red Edition?
Yes it is.

You can still use it, just security support from Microsoft is gone.
Was media centre on Home Premium?
Yes it was on Home Premium.

Happy April 1, and yes, I do have Vista SP1 and I will download the Vista Product Red extension. Problem is, Windows Vista just lost support in 2017.

what version of vmware do you use? mine (14) does not want to run media center?
I used 12 at the time. I now use 16 but 12 is much better. You don't even have to buy it from vmware because there are licenses online.
