You remind me of that cool hippy from the the neighborhood that was always fix8ng and breaking things. Cars, fridges, lawnmowers, ac units.
Yeah, that was me.
Which spring you used
I really like the scale of both this press and your band saw. Perfect for those of us with limited space!
Good idea. I have one of HF's small presses that I never use. I could shorten it up, maybe add some additional holes on the vertical rails. Probably find myself using it more.
Great little setup. Inexpensive and very functional
Thank you for auto-answering my only question about screwing legs. :)
Kinda loved the video! that was very pleasing to watch!
Good build Mr. Rickey Scaggs!
Very very nicely explained, simple to see, thanks for sharing.
Great design. I love that it can be stored flat to take up less space. Thanks for another awesome video!
Thanks for watching!
A great fun little project
La mejor de todo RUclips 👏👏👏
Nice job perfect size!!! Good thinking about the legs
Real nice design you came up with! The trampoline springs are great too. I always love repurposing parts like that. It gives the machine a more interesting history. 👍
Glad you liked it!
Great build! Perfect size too. Like the fact that it can be done with no welding too, will use it to build my own.
Thanks for watching!
Very good job and beautifull. Many thancks
Great work Mate!!!!
outstanding job on this project
Thanks! I'm going to make one of these tonight when I go into work. My trampoline springs should arrive today from Amazon.
Thanks a bunch!
great job ! thanks
Nice simple yet strong design. Well done.
Thanks!
Gracias amigo . Saludos Mty.N.L México.
I done my own, thanks a lot.
Got all stuff needed to make one! Thanks for this video! Now i gona made one myself.
Mine gona being little higher 😁
great video! especially the part about storage!!!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
Nicely done, I have watches several videos on building small hydraulic press and this is one of the nicer ones and simple too, some were overly complicated to build, not that I could not do that but I figure why make things complicated it they do not need to be.
Glad it was helpful!
Great job of making stuff. Enjoyed the video.
great build. smart move with the legs
Gostei do projeto, prensa pequena e eficiente
New subscriber from Mexico, Thank you !
Thanks for subbing!
I was wanting to make one just like it and find your video. Great job and thanks for the great video.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
You've learnt yourself a like and subscription.
Great job! Inspired me to build my own now!
Thanks for watching!
Way cool that's all I would need is a bench top hydrolic press 👍🏽
Awesome sauce!
Looks just like a professional one. Great job.
Thank you very much!
Valeu, gostei muito, parabéns, thank you
I used this video as a tutorial and it worked great. The only problem I had is the angle iron I used was too thin and it bent on me. I gotta remake it. Thank you. New subscriber!!🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching!
Really nice build! Love that you own your mistakes in your videos and share your thought process as you make adjustments to your design. Makes you a great teacher! Have to say though, your long hair makes me super nervous around the drills, lathe, etc...! But maybe I’m just jealous because I’m balding!! 🤣🤣 Love your channel - keep up the great work!
Thanks! 👍
Ww
Marking the legs removeable is a good idea. I would have used selfsecure bolds instead of screws. That would make it a lot easier and faster. I although would put a hole on ether end of the feet to store the feet with the bolds on the press when not in use.
By replacing the bolts on each leg with a pull pins, you could fold it up instantly. GREAT PROJECT!
Thanks for the tip!
Perfeito, vou fazer a minha assim👏👏👏👏
haaa vai
Very good looking press
Thanks for sharing
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
Good job,an well done,
Love the idea of the bolted legs
Yeah, it comes in handy. I don't use this tool very often so it comes a part and takes up less space for storage.
Nice work Bob!
Thank You!
love it. new fan. i make all my own tools pretty much, i think my add would have it no other way. oh, yeah, most of them are not quite finished lol, just enough to use for the other things im building!
Yeah some of them seem to always be a work in progress. Thanks for watching!
amazing quality man! great work.
Thanks!
Thanks sir very helpful video 👌👏👍
muy bueno tu trabajo german desde 🇦🇷
Buen trabajo compañero
awesome project well done
Glad you like it
very well done !!
Thanks a lot!
Neat! 👏🏻
really a good video.
Thanks!
It's so nice to see how you made the press. It seems the lathe rpm was too high while you drilled the press rod and that can ruin the drill bit quite quickly. Cheers.
I believe that's called fast forward.. a editing trick to make time faster so you the viewer spends less time watching videos instead of building stuff. And you thought you were telling the dude how to use his machine..ha
Very nice build a lot of guys use these types of bottle jack presses in hobby pyro. I wish I had all the stuff to build 1.
Thanks for watching!
Norm Abram would be proud. You need to be on PBS.
Thanks!
Thanks to our beloved Joe, metal prices skyrocketed so it makes more sense to buy already finished product then to go shopping for metal, driving, labor and time and supplies.
Still, the joy of making your own is priceless.
Yeah steel prices are insane right now. They can just keep it. I had to postpone a big project due to it now cost 3x to build.
Man! Wish I had one of these.
Thanks for watching!
Nice video, man!! I made a similar one, your's is a *very good* press too; it would match you , if you got a haircut and grew a moustache, ever thought about that?
edit: find some time to put some of that oil spray on the drill press, little sandpaper,it's starting to look like...brown.
Bob I really enjoy your projects and your build videos ,your designs are always spot on and the execution makes it look very easy for the average person to do at home. I will probably be making one of these , will have to look in my metal scrap pile and see what I can dig up . I have built a vertical bandsaw with the he harbor freight bandsaw and have been very pleased with it. It is one of my most used items when doing a metal projects. Wondering how you like your horizontal bandsaw do you get square cuts from it ? Have you thought of adding a pneumatic downfeed cylinder so you don’t have to hold your hand on it while cutting? If so it would be a great project to do a video on . As always great videos great content thank you
I get square cuts from it as long as it does not cut too fast on thin material. That's why I'm holding it, to keep it from cutting too fast. I have thought about putting a pneumatic cylinder on it, but have no idea which one to buy or where to get it. Thanks for watching!
Easy to build a press drilling them Holes that takes some time. And you do need some sort of metal saw to cut the metal in pieces.
Thanks for watching!
🤓greeting from Egypt , one day l will follow your way of building such nice and simple hydraulic press best wishes and happy new year
Thanks for watching!
98% of the people building this already have a welder, so I don't think it's a problem. You should buy some short drillbits.. Much more stable for drilling less than 25mm/1" material. And also you could grind a radius on the bottom of the legs so that they can be folded flat with no interference to the ground. And also 4 tonnes is a bit on the weak side.. Weld reinforcement flat irons on the bottom of the "table" and the top and then upgrade the jack to 10 tonnes. :)
Instead of buying the short drill bits, he could break the long ones to short 😀
Nice video, perfect size!!! .....cheeers from Amsterdam
Thanks for watching!
I do love ur DIY press
If you don't mind, can I get specific measurement of each part, please?
That a cool saw :o
Very nice!
Thanks!
Nice job 👍👍👍
Thanks you!
Nice build brother
Thanks for watching
Very good my friendy. Congratulations 😀👏👏👍👍
Thank you very much
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀
Thanks sir
Very good sir
You should convert that press into a dab press and then you can use it a lot more often. Would love to see that conversion build.
Simple process sir ji
Nice job
Thanks!
nice press. i might make something similar for a forging press but 24+ ton. if i used 6 rams would it make 24 ton or do i need to get a 24 ton jack?
Please mention the measurements of the material which you have used sir which will be helpful to all intrested
Very good.
Thanks!
Hello Sir. Thank you for the video
Can I please know about the dimensions of the hydraulic press? The length and the thickness of the parts you are using, the spring specifications, and the size of the screw
I have a small fabricating and welding shop here at my house. I love your videos and your work. A question about this press, how about adding a metal brake application to the press? A fixture?
Always a possibility. Thanks for watching!
Good effort but I feel the angle iron would soon distort especially with my use.
Thanks for the video awesome build I'm about to make my own now off your content thanks again 🤘😁✌️
No problem 👍
Great press! Just wondering why you’d pick a jack with such a low tonnage? I found a 20 ton jack today for 30 dollars. Plan on making my own press soon
good video
Thanks
thanks Mr.
