Hi Asa, thanks for watching! Great question. If you have a biology/med background and want to get into comp bio, my advice is to learn Python -- and focus specifically on the data analysis libraries like NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib. Having a basic knowledge of data analysis with Python, combined with you bio/med background, should be enough t start working in a lab and contributing to research on the computational side of things. And from there you can keep learning and improving on the job. This is a great course for learning the basics of Python: ruclips.net/p/PL_c9BZzLwBRKK8ndQBBKolg7IxrC5T6Ws Let me know if you have any more questions! 🙂
Hi Edrick! Yes, I actually have a short video series on dynamical modeling of gene expression: ruclips.net/p/PLWVKUEZ25V94kdT2Lh97KqB9MoLV9ZzmU There's also a great course from MIT on systems biology modeling you might enjoy: ruclips.net/video/gc3O2sKIsX4/видео.html And here's another good course from UCI on mathematical biology, including lots of stuff on dynamical modeling: ruclips.net/p/PLqOZ6FD_RQ7lnGZ7fkn503y_7U4rrJ-Se Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any more questions!
Nice video, very informative. Gives me new insight into Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
Thanks for watching Muhammad!
Thank you for the video. Any tips for people with biology/medical background that want to go into comp bio?

@@MikeSaintAntoine thank you so much for this. Really appreciate it!
@@Asaagain No problem, good luck with your studies!
this field is overwhelming, any suggestions on starting on dynamical modeling?

Great! Thank you so much for all of these resources. I've already looked at some of them. I'm enjoying your playlist btw, it's a big help.
