5:39- it’s where you were born (country of birth) and not residency.
Always encouraging people. Thank you babe
It is possible to go to the United States on a visit visa and then seek employment. If you are successful in finding a job, the hospital may be able to assist you in obtaining a Green Card and changing your visa status. However, it is important to note that this is not a well-known route and there are many factors that can affect your eligibility.
I don’t know where to start. Firstly you can look and find a job where ever you are in the world. Secondly not all hospitals sponsor international nurses for green cards and I would advise to work with an agency because they are flexible in that if a hospital that had offered you a job changes their mind they can simply assign you to a different one. So if you come as a visitor then get sponsorship for a green card you attempt to change your status, you will still stand inline coz you are still affected by retrogression just like everyone else in or outside the US. Not only that, but you cannot even start working until your date becomes current( 2yrs + give or take currently) when the hospital or agency is now able to apply for adjustment of status if you are still in the US( but a visit visa is valid for 6 months) and that’s when they can apply for work authorization and you obtain a work permit. Now if your visit visa expires and chances are very likely your date won’t be current, you will have to go back home and wait for your date to be current. Bottom line no one can escape retrogression it affects all EB3 applicants.
The name for that work visa that can make you go to USA fast is H1B. But it is limited. One can move to US within 3 months with the H1B Visa
What are the requirements
Wow! Thanks, beautiful people ❤
My friend Indian nurse with NCLEX passed in 2014 has been in Ireland for 6 yrs with Irish passport is still reversed back to their original nationality
wow
That’s true they don’t use country of citizenship but use country of birth. And India is mostly affected by retrogression dating back 10 + yrs.
@@MaiBrookyou are everywhere saying this. Please it depends on where the person filed their petition. Some did in their country of birth before relocation. I'm sure that fellow did in india before relocating to Ireland and haven't transferred yo Ireland yet. If an Indian moved to Ireland before starting the process or filing for his petition, he will be in the US earlier than an Indian who did the filling in india because of their 10year retrogressioj
The visa is charged to your country of birth
@@florenceowusu-addo166I filed my 1-140 here in USA so am talking from experience. I am affected by retrogression. Someone who applied from Africa before I filed mine will get their visa before I do. We all stand inline and that’s a fact
This video is the reason I needed 😂💃💃
Hi Nanelle. Manny is wrong your country of birth is what they consider not your country of citizenship or where you reside currently. You maybe a British citizen but where you were born is what matters. And Indian born nurse who holds a British citizenship if affected by retrogression 10yrs + whilst a Ghanaian born nurse with or without British or Canadian citizenship is affected 2yrs plus. Thats a fact. If you can invite an immigration lawyer with experience in EB3 green card processing
I worked with a nurse from the Philippines in Canada whose process to the US took less than 3 months. If it's from the country you were born she will still be in Canada.
It depends on which country you filed the I-140. So he is correct
Very true,it depends on the country on your I-140 petition. You could use your nationality or a country in which you are a legal resident in so Manny is right
@@korkorahiabor566which year was that because there was a time when the visa bulletin was current for EB3 and it was faster for those that filed that or those years. Retrogression changes from time to time. Remember it’s affected by demand of the eb3 visa compared to the number of green cards they have
@@florenceowusu-addo166I filed mine here in the US so am talking from experience. If it were according to where you filed then I would have my green card in hand since I am here in the States already
Manny is soo intelligent
I agree
Please what of house painters
Is getting orders easy
Very informative content.👍
First here
😊
Thank you Nanelle and Manny
It is place of nationality not residence thats why Indians are affected despite residing in the UK.
Also, there's a provision where if your spouse is from a country not retrogressed, then they can use your spouse's country of birth to move your case forward
Could mean, the filed their case in India before moving to UK and have not transferred their case to UK. Its not dependant on Nationality. But where you filed your case
@@florenceowusu-addo166 I guess we are saying two different things. Even if you file in India and later relocate to the UK, you would still be affected by retrogression.
The most important thing is your priority date. However, there is still the per country limit which is your country of birth.
