How long would you say is a reasonable time for the catalog ads to learn and start performing profitably on a new feed?

“Can” is the crucial word he used in his response. Depends on a lot of factors such as volume of skus or products in your catalog, niche, type of good or service. I’ve seen a lot of content creators start advocating for DPA recently in conjunction with advertising Marpipe, not a coincidence. DPA is for data centric advertisers and favors volume spend. If you’re not going to dig deep and look at sku click performance, segment and or use supplemental feeds/catalogs, use custom events, use design treatments, etc etc DPA out of the box performs on par with anything else you run (assuming you don’t suck at creatives).
