- We will take you through our new Stabicraft 2750 UCC that we have brought to Florida! If you want to ask questions please do so below. This is a very exciting time for us!
These are very popular for offshore fishing in my neck of the woods (East Gippsland, Pacific Ocean) Myself I am after a Merry Fisher or an Axopar, but respect these StabiCraft. Great boat.
That’s a great looking boat. I’ve been binge watching Stabicraft videos lately. One day when we upgrade that’s the brand I’m going with. There’s not a lot of them running around southeast Alaska but they are the perfect boat for here.
For a/c you may want to consider a rooftop RV style. You may also want to consider solar along with lithium ion batteries that would fit nicely in the bottom storage area.
Nice boat! For a fish box on my aluminum boat, I got some Owens Corning Foamular 250 XPS insolated board and cut it to the sizes I needed to cover the inside of my fish box, and then I fiberglassed over it. It turned out great. I installed a drain with a hose that runs right out the back of the transom. I use a regular boat plug to plug the drain until I want to drain it. You don't want your fish box draining into your bilge because it will make your boat smell fishy. lol.
And again, that is a sweet boat and I hope y'all enjoy it.
Congratulation from New Zealand. Love this brand my first boat was a 5.1m Stabicraft very easy handle the rough sea in here. used 100 hours for a year and sold the same price as I purchased it within 1 week time.
I have a bought another boat surtees 6.1 sport fisher. very nice New Zealand made small boat can enjoy my weekend in the peacefully place.
Stabi craft , the best rough water boat I've ever owned
You are living the life. Congratulations on your beautiful vessel.
Thank you!
One of the toughest boats on earth, all the way from the roughest waters of New Zealand. Great ride and very stable. Very popular here in Western Australia as the Indian Ocean is quite rough
How about a RAZERLINE, a great west Aussie made plate alloy boat with a self draining deck & mine had a foam filled underfoor, truly un-sinkable & dare I say it, much nicer lines than a Stabicraft.
@@dustyfarmer razerline are made for flat water only - hence the deadrise
@@donninguyen5237Flat water use only! BWHAHAHAHA! Dream on, you clearly know 9/10 of F all. Razerline's hull's are based on designs of the late naval architect Dave Jackman for Indian ocean/ Western Australian waters, some of the roughest waters in the world.
@@donninguyen5237 Stabicraft deadrise 17.5 degrees. Razerline deadrise 18 degrees.
@@dustyfarmer Both of those deadrise are not good for rough waters. 21-24 degrees of deadrise is the norm for deep v for big seas.
Beautiful boat. It really is more fun then a new house. Enjoy.
I'm an Aussie massive offshore boater, and I have to give it to the Kiwi's - they SERIOUSLY know how to build outstanding offshore bombproof boats. Stabicraft are exceptional. Yep they are expensive, however you get what you pay for, and Stabi offer serious "peace of mind"....
Congratulations! That's friggin awesome! I'm next! I've been really looking at the Stabicraft. Keep us posted on your adventures! Stay safe! Tight lines!
Thanks. More videos to come!
@@FishForageHunt if you are looking for marine branded air-conditioning for boat look for webasto or dometic brand. For 12v dc and 12v ac Dometic Cuddy dc 2 low energy 3500 BTU cooling power
You guys will love it I have a 1850 Centre Console, bloody fun boat and goes like a cut cat
Have a great time
Cheers from Aus
I absolutely love your boat. I would certainly go with the choice you made. I’m in the Caribbean, and I am trying to get a boat that’s really strong and fuel efficient exactly like yours. Thanks for sharing your video Onelove ❤️💛💚
If you want to put a air-conditioning in boat and use only a battery you can pick zero breeze mark2 portable ac. You can use jackery power storage. But if want to use pprtable inverter generator like predator or honda you can buy portable aircon 1/2 or 1hp 12volts
Glad to see you guys got those nice bung holes.
Congratulations on your new Stabicraft, especially getting the big boy 2750 WT. My dream boat. Also a smart move going with Yamaha motors. I made the mistake of buying a Mercury. I took very good care of my mercury but it still completely broke down after just 8 years of use. Next engine will be a Yamaha.
Every NZ fisherman’s dream boat.
Sweet boat I like their new 2250 walkthrough cabin as well.
Yeah you will need to figure out some ac. My inlaws have a conquest bw. Pilot house. The generator keeps blowing a fuse and it is horrible running it in kw without the ac. Their is a channel called out on the reef he puts an ac unit in a parker pilot house. Seemed easy enough. Good luck.
Out On The Reef's AC is a 110v unit that he runs off of his gasoline generator.
But there are other (more expensive) 12v options out there.
Definitely going to need one for my 2050.
Congrats dream boat I been looking at these boats just in love with them
Congrats on the new boat. Sure to turn heads in FL. Love fitout you have done on it. BTW you will get waves over the bow.. if you are keen to brave the weather.. :)
We’ve taken a few, the Gulf of Mexico here is known for sudden squalls, makes us appreciate the cabin all that much more lol.
It's difficult to dip the bow on a Stabi. I brave the weather all the time in mine here in Texas and will probably do so more in Florida. We have taken a few over the bow in mine but she pops back up instantly like huge cork and in a following sea it's like your on rails, no fishtail.
Turns around in the swells like a jetski and lines up beautifully.
There is a reason why overseas coastguard and police departments use them in very rough water.
Congratulations on your new and beautiful craft.
Such a nice boat, I can't wait until I can afford one.
wow what a cute couple and fantastic demo
Awesome boat remember watching this go trough the factory start to finish a couple months ago
That’s so cool you could see it getting built. She’s amazing!
You bought the best boat possible nice
Thanks. We love it!
Well done with the video - very well made and enjoyable to watch. You won’t be disappointed with the stabi they are great boats.
If you haven’t fitted already installed I would advise against fitting a light bar to the roof as the glare you will get off the bow rail will make it unusable, suggest look at where Matt Watson put his forward lights on his second 2750 build (on the bow rail works really well).
Best of luck and again well done with you video and purchase.
Thank you!
Check out one of your local rv centers for 12 volt ac units they should have something available. If not check out ac systems for tractor/equipment cabs you can usually find them in 12 and 24 volt, since you have 3 batteries Id suggest running it in the 24 volt. You could wire two of your batteries in series but I would suggest adding one more battery and wire those two is series also then wire both of them in parallel, youll have 24 volts but longer running time without charging and less draw time. Add a couple of flexible solar panels on the roof and youll be good to go for quite a long time. A small quite good sine wave generator 3-5 kw should be enough to help charge the batteries while running the ac. The charger isnt meant to run the ac unit in stand alone mode but to complement the system when motors arent running.
A cruise air would be percect for your application. 100%portable and designed to nlow through your hatch.
I have loved the Stabicraft since I first seen a video on it and wondered about the accent of the guy doing the tour of the boat and disheartened to find out these were NOT manufactured in the good old USA...I am a Canuck and these are the cat's meow for any die hard fisherman on the Great Lake System...I fish the waters of Georgian Bay....Nope, No Una the Tuna or Charlie ...but we do have world class Salmon and Lake, Brown, Rainbow Trout fishery on the Bay...and can head into the 30 thousand islands for Muskie, Walleye, Crappie, and Bass...I would run out tomorrow and buy a Statecraft tomorrow...a dealership here on the Bay would steal the show.. Aluminum is the answer here on the Bay, very nice boat and you will have a ton of fun any many happy days fishing together...Nice video and I like the color for high visibility on the water ...always a good thing
Thanks, we got yellow specifically for the high visibility on the water, we have some seriously bad boaters down here lol.
I do know there are a few Canadians that have been successful in ordering Stabis into Canada. Hopefully you get a local dealer soon!
I’ve heard the stories of your Salmon and Walleye fisheries and they sound amazing.
We for sure have gotten several odd looks and a lot of questions as to why aluminum here in FL. But we love it.
Congrats scott n megan! hope to soon see u guys out on ur first fishing expedition... glad to finally see yellow tales in florida’s salty waters n then some! ☺️☺️☺️ hopefully u guys will do a night time clips showing them fcklightbars rgb’s n lumitec underwater rgb’s 😉
The air-conditioning issue is easy. Just put a 110v box unit on the side, and run a 110v power cable a similar length to how far offshore you anticipate cruising.
Dometic makes 12v ac for boats also check into night star. They make 12 v for commercial truck sleepers which I have used for years.
Well done, You Guys will have Fun!
Agree great choice, wish I could get one
How is it in the summer heat? Do you get enough ventilation to keep relatively cool? I’m really looking hard at this boat myself. Will be looking forward to update videos. Thanks for posting!
Ventilation is good with the windows open. When there isn’t any wind, any boat without AC will get toasty. The cabin does keep the sun off us and that’s a huge bonus.
@Hello Glenn Sosebee, How are you doing?
Wabasto makes a marine AC unit for yachts. I have one in my sailboat that is fantastic. They are spendy but work well. The compressor could mount in your underfloor storage as long as you can find a way to vent it. You will probably need to run a generator also. It will definitely involve drilling holes in your new boat though.
Thanks for the suggestion! Storage is always a premium so a generator to support ac won’t work on our boat.
Those boats are super badass. You are gonna hate all the aluminum, especially the floors in the summer heat in Florida. U may wanna look into putting Seadek flooring on top of the aluminum. Awesome boat! Congrats.
Believe it or not the floors in 95 degree heat weren’t as hot as fiberglass I’ve been on. We are in Key West this past weekend and my wife was worried it would be too hot in the floor. The railings also stay cool all the time as the aluminum acts as a heat sink. What does hurt is the checkered flooring under your feet though.
@@FishForageHunt good to know. I wanted to replace my vinyl covered plywood flooring on my north river with aluminum. My buddy did his and said it was considerably hotter. Sweet boat brother!
Great boat guy's, I'm on my fourth Stabicraft. Wouldn't have anything else!
@Tom Whitby Over a 15 year period i started with an early 5.6m side console, which I sold to my brother to upgrade to a 2600 supercab, after 5 years we moved house and had no room for it so bought a 1450 frontier, moved to a bigger property and now have my dream boat. By special order a 2500 frontier powered by 350hp suzuki absolute weapon of a boat!
Dometic commercial single zone AC unit with easy start rv adapter from micro air. They even have a marine version.
Great boat mate thats my dream boat here in australia
ruclips.net/video/QZ77bkX1Ww4/видео.html saw this yesterday and Im still drooling lol
Sounds like you went past the Bar.
That's where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. The Coat Guard trains there for rough water rescue. I've been through there in March and it was very intimidating.
I always wondered how well these would work here in Florida given how popular they are everywhere else. Looking forward to the maiden trip video.
Took it out yesterday in crap conditions and we were one of two boats out there. Such a great ride. I’ll take video on the next trip out!
@@FishForageHunt are you close to Haulover inlet ? It would be really cool to see how well stabicraft can handle those waves 😉
Loved the video, love your boat and subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more videos. I get my 2250 UCWT in September 😉
@@robintaylor1490 a bit far. Not ready for that yet! Lol
@@robintaylor1490 can’t wait to see the videos. Congratulations on your purchase.
Great video. Thanks from a future owner!
Beautiful boat
Thanks!
My brother there is a system of a little cooler that is mounted inside the cabinet or you need is a 120 plug and it will blow cold air like air conditioner the military uses it in their tents in Iraq and they work very well
stunning boat congrats on your purchase both
Congratulations!!!!!!
Thanks!
cool ! definitely want one of these, foam chambered. Did you just buy in Oregon and drive it back?
Bought in Oregon and had someone trailer it to Florida.
That metal floor is going to get HOT.
Look into getting some flooring laid over it.
Compressed cork works great.
How your literally on the water which cools the floor
@@cosmicbrah8669 The deck doesn't touch the water. Nice boat but I think one of the big reasons nobody runs those in Florida is that they will turn into a solar oven.
@@InvestorAcademyPodca Your talking to someone with years of experience with aluminium floor boats. It doesnt heat up when on the water. You can also get custom flooring with stabicraft
Seadek is the way to go. By the way, this floor doesn't touch water from the underside so your experience with jonboats doesn't apply to this type of boat.
@@tommaulden7308 Thanks Tom, SeaDek is a great product and without some serious industrial flooring in this boat it will become a baking tray.
Congratulations my dream boat
It’s a nice boat I have a 2550 ultracab xl in Oregon and it’s nice
Thanks. I liked the 2250 as well. All around great boats.
Would get a few strange looks at the boat ramp in Florida lol ..Made in New Zealand can’t go wrong 🇳🇿👌🏽 we make some of the best fishing boats
Beautiful boat, been wanting a Stabicraft for 6 years. I live in New York. Would like to know how the Salt from the Atlantic affects tha aluminum..
So if you have issues with the boat, its not likely to get repaired out west, is it? under warranty repairs is what Im asking, I want one also, but have this concern
All the issues we have had have been covered under warranty repair. It generally involves talking to the purchasing dealer for suggestions and either purchasing the part and repairing it ourself or finding a shop by us to do the diagnostic and do the repair. Either of these options we have submitted receipts and been reimbursed for the repair. The dealer has also mailed us a larger repair component. Thankfully we haven't had any major hull or aluminum issues, that would be a bit of a challenge here in FL I think. If you are in FL, do get an alternator for the batteries if not storing at home. Most of the lots here currently have a large wait (years long) for wetslip storage and almost as long for dry with electric.
The Minn Kota on the other hand....wait until their production catches up, it's in the shop for its 3rd major repair since the boat got here. It is great when it works, sadly, it's out of commission more than it's functioning.
perfect choice 👌
Great boat and video! How’s the metal deck in the sun? Seems like it would be a human bbq?
So far the deck isn’t that hot. But it hasn’t been too hot just yet. We will find out this summer. Lol.
Go for the seadek. You will love it. Doesnt absorb heat at all.
Boat looks great it looks like a launch service boat with a BBQ don't find it functional at all for my taste but i get it works for you BTW yellow boats rock 👌
looking at them now also on the east coast (long island) could you tell me which you dont mind thanks!
Pretty cool to see one arrive on the east coast.....I am looking at the 2250 UltraCenter Cab....how was the order process? Did you like it vs. buying right from inventory?
There really wasn’t any inventory available, we ordered April/May of last year and got one of the last 2020 build slots the marina had. It also allowed us to customize what we wanted, great boats as stock but we wanted a say in electronics, foam in the pontoons, the underwater lights etc. It was a very easy process, but a long one to say the least. Quality takes time, personally I’m glad we went the ordering route.
@@FishForageHunt makes sense! Beautiful rig! Does the foam make a noticeable difference in noise insulation?
@@grantd.5438 not sure. To me the sound is slightly noticeable but others without foam say they don’t hear the water slapping. I am happy with the level of residual noise with the foam so I would recommend it.
That is a nice boat seems to much in closed for florada of corse a air conditioned cab is awsome
Sweet and what was the price tag on this beauty ?
I was wondering when your next upload was lol.. glad to see you back, also nice boat.
Thanks. We were waiting to make more videos for when it arrived. We were the only boat out in the 4 footers off Sarasota this morning. This beast really handles the ocean nicely.
I'm in the market for a Stabicraft myself. I can't find any info on them coming to boatshows in Florida. What boatshow did you see it at and how long did you have to wait for the boat or can you just buy it from boatshow?
We actually flew out to the Seattle boat show in 2020, right before coronavirus took hold. It took about a year for it to be made and delivered, a large part of that was due to the shutdowns.
That’s a sick vessel. Anymore video coming on your vessel?
Patrick, thanks for the post and question. We are heading to the keys for the holidays and plan on making a lot of videos this year. Weather is looking good for some drone footage as well. Hoping to get the next video out by next week once we get there!
Very nice boat but I hope you did not burn your transducer by having the MFD on on land.
I had the transducer paused wen I was filming.
Hey! I’m glad I saw this review coming from another Florida resident. Been on the market for a new boat. Big question, how much is this boat running and how was the shipping?
About the same as a Seahunt Gamefish of similar size, but we ordered before all the supply chain nightmare stuff occurred so I’m not sure right now. It shipped into the west coast then we paid a private shipper to tow it to FL.
What is your opinion of the boat after a year ownership? Likes and dislikes? Twin 200's enough power? Thanks!
Lol we were just talking about making a year of ownership video in 2022. We are officially at 270 hours on the engines. Biggest dislikes, 1. the in floor storage is not for fish in our climate, we need coolers and kill bags. 2. Anything that uses tape adhesive (rubber bumpers, seat backs etc) just literally melted in the heat, a better adhesive is needed. 3. Windless sucks battery so make sure you keep RPMs going while pulling up the anchor.
Also, not a Stabicraft thing, but the Minn Kota is garbage, it’s been in the shop more than it’s worked.
To us almost no complaints on Stabis side and the few we had the Y took great care of us. Although, they may be hearing from us in a couple of weeks if the Minn Kota kicks it for the 5th time. (Per Minn Kotas recommendation for a replacement, nothing to do with the Y or their service) This boat has rocked it in pop up storms. FL is considered a lightening capital of the US and Tampa is the epicenter. We have outrun storms with the twin 200s (more than enough power), we have hunkered down in smaller storms and stayed dry, and we have been fortunate enough to escape the insane Florida heat in the summer by opening the hatches and trolling mid day.
We get a lot of odd looks and comments at the boat ramps, but mostly it’s people wanting to know more about the boat.
@@FishForageHuntThanks! Would like to see a video!
love that boat and very interesting review............but how can someone actually mistake a rod holder for a gas filler ??????
We have no clue. If you google it, you will see more than one person has done it in the past.
That’s a weapon of a boat.
Having trouble catching fish because they see it coming and run... ;)
Best boat you can get
Don't know if you have figured out how to add A/C or not but this guy has a lot of answers his name is Out On The Reef
Awesome 👌. Radiant heat from sun?
If you mean when standing on the outside deck, not much more of an issue then our old glass boat, the aluminum acts as a heat sync so it stays around whatever temperature the water is. If we think it’s getting warm we just spray down the deck with the hose.
With those twin 200's what's your top speed at wot ? Thinking about getting them. 🤔
47 best. On choppy seas 40
@@FishForageHunt awesome thank you for sending such a quick response 👍
Very nice boat
Why they don't have Stabicraft dealer in Florida??
I see you bought this from Y Marine. When you need your boat serviced how do you go about that being so far from Oregon? How is Y Marine customer service? Now having the boat for six months do you have any pros and cons? How was the shipping process and how much was the fee to have the boat shipped as my understanding is it comes from New Zealand to Oregon to you? I would love to pick your brain on this boat if you have an IG or possibly an email?
I look forward to hearing back.
Thank you .
Yea go ahead and send us a private message on the fish forage hunt IG account. Essentially we have a stupendous mobile mechanic that does all our Yamaha service. If we have had warranty repairs we talked to Buzz, he makes suggestions, if it’s something we can fix ourselves we purchase the part and send them the receipts for reimbursement.. More specialized parts (like the rubber stripping on the side of the boat) they mail to us. It cost us 4K to have it shipped from OR to FL and that was in an off peak time of year but that gentleman flew here with the boat, towed it cross county inside of three days through a snow storm in the Rockies so well worth his fee. Shipping it was super easy, it literally involved a 500 dollar deposit, and a date. We could change the date with 72 hours notice for no additional cost. We wire transferred the Y payment and he has off the lot with it an hour later.
Awesome boat! Maybe Stabicraft can make it in the east coast.
Thanks. I sure hope so
I am considering either a Stabicraft, Sargo or Targa. Have you considered either of these, if so, why Stabi over them? Thanks so very much for your review!!! From the PNW Seattle area
We didn’t look at Sargo or Targa. We did research some other aluminum hulls like bar crusher and duckworth but were really attracted to the Stabi.
@@FishForageHunt Stabicraft is at the top of my "A" list, my question was to ask a Stabicraft owner if they have considered these two boats because they are also on my list. Regards
Awesome boat, it’s a STABICRAFT!!! But you don’t know that switching on the
MFD and the transducers are connected, they will overheat and get damaged!!!
So unfortunate when people have too much money and no idea how to use the
things they buy with that money!!!!
Nice looking boat😁
Nice boat guys 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thanks!
Always have been intrigued about aluminum boats in the gulf, and how they would fare. My biggest concern is the bare surfaces getting screaming hot to the touch beyond safe norms.
Wife Megan here, and that was my #1 concern when we purchased. Since the aluminum is a heatsink I was very pleasantly surprised it doesn’t get hot at all. Never had an issue with anything getting burning hot. The outside floor in 90+ degrees gets very warm, but I can still go barefoot for all but the peak hours of sun, Railings, cabin walls etc don’t get warm at all. Water temp last weekend was 82 air was close to 100 and it was never unbearable and it was great to be able to get out of the sun.
@@FishForageHunt I am totally surprised by that. I have filmed on aluminum platforms all day, and I was always burning my feet, and the reflection off the aluminum caused additional burns in places that can only happen from reflecting upwards ☹️ I will take your word for it, but I will have get out on one in the south before pulling the trigger! Thank you for the response and enjoy the adventures!
@@billybastar4022 I think maybe the diamond checker on the floor breaks up the mirror effect, because I am the type that bathes in sunscreen, still burns, peels, then burns again and I’ve never had an issue with it giving reflection burns on my legs. If you are ever down south and want to test it out hit us up!
@@FishForageHunt will do. We make it down to Orlando, Tampa/Sarasota, Panama City, and Gulf Shores every year. Planning on making a permanent move for next year. Hope to see you if at all possible. My wife will be the final voice.

Find the boat? Tamp area is where we are at.
@@FishForageHunt awsome how much do they run for usually?
if you don't mind, can you say the shipping cost from? to Florida
We paid 4000 for cross country transport. However, the prices vary widely based on several factors. Mode of transport was #1, it's cheaper to have it towed vs flatbedded (if you can even find someone for that).
#2 Time of year. If it's high season, like when all the transport companies are moving boats for spring boat shows, cross country is quite a bit more expensive since a lot of transporters are booked.
3. Like everything else, booking in advance by several months helps. We gave the transporter a 2 week time frame we thought it would be done, as long as we gave him 72 hour notice of when it was ready, the price didn't change, if it went past the original window we would of had to have paid for the drivers lodging, food and and a stipend for him to hold the job. We paid a deposit of 500 (included in the 4k price) with the rest payable on delivery.
I suspect with supply chain shortages nowadays prices may be up a bit more since the beginning of the year.
@@FishForageHunt thanks for the reply, I was thinking flying out, renting a pick up driving back with the boat, Im retired and time is all I have , and I truly apreciate your response on the warranty aspect, We just closed on a house in Jax on the river 5 min to the ocean .
