    Thank you for explanation.
    Why one of the upper jaws has one “leg” ? It keeps rotating while being used.

    • @Grstools
      @Grstools  2 года назад +1

      That is by design. The one-legged upper jaw is intended to be able to rotate, allowing four points of contact when holding pieces that are not completely square.

      I was wondering the same thing when I saw that part of the video. Great question.

    Why is one of the half-round vice plate made with one peg? Can’t hold settings (with attachments) without it moving about (can’t handle flex shaft rotation, I constantly have to tighten it up, as it MOVES. I’m ruining settings left and right. This device actually doesn’t only ANYTHING still.

    • @Grstools

      Not really sure how you are using this and need more information as the plate should NOT be moving while in use if being used properly. The one peg allows the pins to pivot and accommodate work pieces that are not perfectly straight/square. It should still firmly hold as long as the vise is clamped properly. Since it sounds like you are working with jewelry and precious metals, perhaps the piece is not clamped down tightly enough? Our suggestion is that you call in to talk to Rex so that he can work through some of those questions with you. Rex is apart of our ask a master program and can be reached at 800-835-3519

      Did you purchase your attachment set directly from us or a dealer? The set should not have had any screws with it

      @@Grstools A dealer, the 6 screws fit into the tapped and threaded holes on the ball
