- It's time for "glacier day" and it looks like Tracy Arm Fjord is too icy for the ship to sail safely... so we're headed down Endicott Arm to check out Dawes Glacier once again! Join us as we bite on breakfast, try our hand at trivia, dine at the diamond lunch, then soak in some scenic cruising... which way will the ship turn this time at the glacier?! :O

We're off on the second of two "side-by-side" cruises to Alaska, this time aboard Carnival Miracle out of Seattle! We sailed from September 14-22, 2021 with stops in Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, and Ketchikan, as well as sailing the Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier. Let's do this thing!

Dee, don't ever lose that emotional reaction to nature. So many people take the incredible gifts of this planet for granted and are unconnected. It's so refreshing to see you both haven't lost that connection and that you aren't afraid to share it with us. I so much appreciate all that you do to keep us cruising vicariously. The videos just look like it's all "fun and games" but I know how hard it is to shoot and edit video and to keep up a regular job while you're enjoying the cruise life. Living in Los Angeles and Seattle all my life and having a daughter-in-law from Valdez, Alaska, I feel so humbled and honored to have taken six cruises to Alaska. Aye- aye Captain Dee and Jay I do see an awesome bluish glacier - thank you for sharing 🙏 Your meals looked acceptable too. Living in Canada I’ve had the opportunity to venture onto the Columbia Ice Fields in the Canadian Rockies from the Athabasca Glacier, between Jasper and Banff. When I was 10 yrs old, the said Glacier was close to the highway. Today, I’m 65 and the same Glaciers had receded way back into the Rocky Mountain Crevasses. That being said, the Glaciers you see isn’t receding as much as ours. Very interesting! Thanks again !

Fun Fact🙌🏾 The boat that pulled along side of Carnival Mardi Gras was a crew of different captains to help dock the boat. They usually have the upcoming report for that specific day so they know exactly how and where to dock😃

Before I went to the glaciers I wasn't very interested, thought it would be boring! Was I surprised! That was the highlight of both our Alaska cruises. We did Hubbard first, that was the best one, and then Dawes the second cruise, soon to be on our third. It is phenominal!
