Personally I've always played the game how I wanted to and not worried about what others thought if I used "X" item over another.
People get angry at everything nowadays. If you don't like something, don't buy it. Simple 😅

As a pistol only player I really enjoy the sentinel nine because of the higher chance of critical hits
I will only buy the stuff I couldn’t get due to my delux edition not being a preordered purchase but as far as stuff actually included in the version you bought it’s way more fun unlocking it on your own! Even though I had to buy the classic & gold cases to even have them I already beat the game twice on regular new game & once on pro without using any extra stuff so now I’m gonna have fun making it a bit easier for myself! PS the skull shaker is basically just a collector weapon just to have but I agree it’s definitely useless considering you get a shot gun In Ch. 1 but it does look cool!
cmon capcom make this playable on nintendo switch with;
- everything on low
- enable FSR ultra performance mode
- locked 30fps
- not via cloud
Its less pay to win and pay to make your game.ALOT easier up front. Village section especially on pro mode is the hardest section of the game imo bc you just have crap weapons almost no resources, very little ammo and you are thrust into several enemy gauntlets where running is about the only option you have. All the dlc does is let you have some bonus weapons to stsrt slightly better rng a few extra treausres and if you buy them, instsnt exclusive uogrades.
But on pro mode you can still EASILY get your ass handed to you if you olay sloppy and even with exclusives the weapons you have kind of suck from their limited ammo pool, slow rate of fire, or the fact that without cat ears you still have to craft and use ammo wisely

You're sleeping on that gunpowder attache case. The handgun ammo is plentiful enough, and when every S resource is 6 shotgun ammo, you SWIM in shotgun/rifle ammo

For me i dont care about the cry babys i play the game the way i like and easy even if I wanna buy tickets our the traesures maps , our cases is my pb and i enjoy the game 😅

Even with using and or selling deluxe version weapons and cases, professional difficulty on a new run is still a challenge. Unless you’re paying for extra perks in a competitive multiplayer environment i dont personally see an issue with how they handled this
I had the game with the cases and the extra weapons since day 1.
The game has been always the same for me, always loved the Skull shaker and maxed it right away.
Using the gold attaché-case does accelerate the upgrades process I think.
Sentinel has those 9 extra bullets and SS is like a free 2 "get off me" on early before getting the shotgun in the house if I wanted to do runs with it.

Frankly, it's a single player game and that's what matters. If people want to buy the tickets and upgrade their items or sell them for Pesetas, then why not? It's their game to enjoy the way they want to and if they want to feel overpowered early and that's what's fun to them, who cares? These aren't the people who are going to go for crazy speed runs or anything like that.

It is Pay To Win.
By paying you gain an advantage.
The fact that the game is easy regardless, does not excuse the practice.
We should not encourage these practises people, it's a slippery slope.
Then most any non-story dlc is pay-to-win. New weapon? New armor? Starter kit? Pay to win, even if they are by no means gamebreaking.
Pay to win is more about the game being nigh impssible without the dlc/loot boxes, not just the simple addition of (non-story) content.
@@TheHero-2550 I disagree , you can add dlc weapons and tools that are fun but are not better for speedrunning/competitive purposes.
Professional mode is not easy for me bro 😭
The golden suitcase definitely helps you earn way more cash that helps you a ton. I personally like to play the game without using any of these dlc additions, and figuring out how I can manage things without them.
I personally like all the “pay to win” stuff. I don’t get much time to play and when I do I like having a slight edge. I like feeling a little OP. Like you said it’s not game breaking, it’s just a little advantage that you don’t even have to use. I also appreciate games that let you be OP, like infinite ammo and rocket launcher. For me it makes the game more enjoyable. The cat ears were a huge struggle for me to get but once I got them I had a blast playing. And I bought like 8 upgrade tickets and every time I start a new game I’m sooo glad I have them😂. And yes, I do need that advantage.

If you buy the Golden ticket and use Handcannon. You have infinit oneshots for every enemy and boss fights become a joke aswell. Ontop you save time looking for ammo in crates.

Hey neon one question which is not related to the video, but do skipping cutscenes matter in your playtime? Or does the time stop when cutscenes are playing
The timer stops during cutscenes, in the pause menu and in the typewriter storage.

No, no pvp, no ptw. Does DLC make games easier, sometimes, in the case yes. However I don’t think that’s the same as the stigma and normal meaning behind PTW.
Hahaha I got angry with the games because I playing it through ps5 and I brought DLC and the stuff in the Ps store but it doesn’t reflect in my games sad life 😢

My favorite run is New Game Professional, collect all treasures and do all requests without using or selling any DLC and unlockable. I just wanna chime in why all the extra stuffs are really just that, extra. I am able to max upgrade Combat Knife, Blacktail, Riot Gun, Bolt Action Rifle and buy Rocket Launcher (costs 160k each in Pro) 3 times consistently. And if I actually speedrun it, it's absolutely possible to S+ too.
Yes, I do feel that the DLCs are pay to win, or at least make it easier. But I just wanna say that base game is already great. I got the DLC stuffs as pre-order bonus because Capcom has produced so many great games and I wanna support them. I don't usually do pre-order. I did make use of them when I try to S+ Pro for the first time cause I have no confidence at all while following Neon's guide. But after sinking 300 hours into the game, I have a lot of confidence to S+ Pro without all that.
Is it P2W? Between the cases charms weapons and most importantly the exclusive weapon upgrade tickets, yeah kinda. However I feel like the real question is does it matter in a single player experience? I don’t think so personally
I suck at this game but I love playing it but it's not enough to where I want DLC. I'm from the Nintendo days where none of that was needed.

It does give the game a ton of ways to complete, I've completed the games multiple times already in all difficulties and right now, I'm in that phase where I mod everything (playing on PC btw).
I use the powder ammo brief case, I end up with around 250k extra pesetas when I finish my runs.
U can get those upgrade tickets and get as many exclusive upgrades as you can get.
Those items were technically pre order bonuses. So most players got those items for free.
I’d say on your first run, it’s more beneficial to get more gunpowder drops.

With the Golden tickets what's the difference between the types E.G. A, B, C, D etc.
It's just a way to tell you how many tickets you bought. They all function the same way.

I think the new RE4 is more challenging than the original. I've beaten it about 11 times and the enemies still catch me off guard from time to time. Also parrying is almost impossible in professional mode.
It is the easiest RE game I've played in the past 10 years.

I purchased the deluxe version of the game. It got me the extra gun, shotgun, expanded treasures and a few attache cases.
The only one I never got is the golden attache case. Is there a reason for that?
Different cases were given out as pre-order bonuses depending on where you ordered from
it was pre-order only but now u can pay extra to get it if u want

Whats way more pay to win is the exclusive tickets - even if you use one on a save file you can still use it on another save file - they are consumed per save file but are not one time use and they are gone forever

It's not "Pay to Win" Yes, you can get all the DLC stuff, but You choose to use and buy them. My step brother uses all the DLC stuff too (we use the same PS5), but after 6 playthroughs, he still struggles with money and still dies a lot.
i wouldve had way less fun without the dlc treasures. I sold the weapons at first merchants and the extra cash helped a ton.

After being disappointed by other games extra content at launch RE4 remake has been great!
No it’s not “pay to win” because at the end of the day everyone has access to the most powerful weapons in the game.
The only exception is the DLC weapons: Skullshaker and the Sentinel which by the way, aren’t all that much better. It comes down to preference. I like the Skullshaker for style points. That’s all.
Game is a masterpiece. Can’t wait for more content
