You're exaggerating. The Blacktail has the smallest maximum range of aim bloom and relatively quick catch, so while it's not as good as a laser sight, it's still more accurate than any weapon that doesn't use a scope and hits like a truck to boot. Only the Red9 really comes out losing here, since it only barely has more power than the Blacktail and requires trading 9 spinels to get the stock to be competitive with the other handguns.
I can see this strategy working wonders on PC since a mouse can get you easy head and weak point shots but unless you show a version of this playthrough on console then I don't know if it will work as well if I get this on the PS5.
I have yet got my copy of RE 4 remake, so sorry for this silly question😅. If you sell every weapon and only like here the SG 9. Will Ganados/other creature drops ammo for that gun only? Or do they still randomly drop any kind of ammo type, even if you don't have the gun type?
i did 3 achievement on 1 single playthrough with proffesional. This 3 is frustrating af. 3 of em are Frugalist, Minimalist, and Proffesional Agent. The Proffesional Agent is not that hard tho, but that 2 is crazy
Fully upgrade this handgun with laser is like having shotgun but with single target, that is why this handgun is op And btw, leon just does the whole mission with what he brings from the beginning, no cheating this time, except (maybe) for the laser XD

Would it be viable to use the gold attaché case for this too? I know more handgun ammo for this kind of run would be a must but since the game automatically gives you ammo when you’re low anyway and you have no other weapons for the ammo pool, shouldn’t you be able to use the extra pesetas from the gold case (The gold case actually does give you way more money) to max out the SG09 even earlier? Or will you not get enough ammo?

@@juanlife6255 Well I did my playthourgh with red9 and this wasn't the worst thing. I had no problem aiming, damage was really great BUT the true worst thing and the reason why I'm not ever playing red9 is the space inventory it takes. It's too much. I'd rather go anything else just for that reason
LOL massive ammo magazine combined with fact that leg or headshots always stagger enemies and you can knife/kick them all day long and drown in SMG AMMO LAWL.... I don't miss that boring ass playstyle TBH. I went out the way to not use cookiecutter weapons due to how boring it made OG RE4 since that game is way more easier than remake being rebalanced due to that fact.

best HG to use pistol only run lol Its just does insane dmg due to how high crit chance is with exclusive and laser sight!! lol theres damage multipler for weak points and Headshots. SG9 crazy high crit chance to give u that extra dmg is why you can kill a lot of strong enemies and bosses relatively easy.

I watch speedrunners route and tricks and they use the 2 available grenades to kill 8-10 enemies. That with the 2 easily stealth kill you can do + the 8 shotgun shells to shoot directly through their head making it instant kill totaling in 15 enemies killed to ring the bell. It’s quite easy to accomplish. And if that didn’t finish the job, you can also flash bang then use knife to instant kill another 2 enemies
Seems like a legit strat, the SG 9 does feel like one of the best guns in the game. Although to be fair playing on pc is a bit easier to play on console. At least when it comes to getting easier and more precise shots than on console. Still love the guides 😃👍🏽
Thats why they made Hunk's Helmet an item you can wear so that on Professional you will have AIM ASSIST for controller players lol Devs took that into account, which is very cool to allow everyone to play and have fun.

Exclusive gives u 5X Crit chance, Headshot increases crit chance, on top of the crit chance increase when you make the crosshair tiny which the laser sights attachment has the effect of always making your aim always the tiny crosshair. So all in all, the SG09 is OP as Fvck for a handgun due to how high you can make the crit chance! More crit chance = ur headshots are more likely to Stagger enemies so you melee or knife them. On PRO with this setup of SG9 Handgun i've found that you have about 50/50 chance of either staggering them with 1 headshot or 2 headshots. If you have the Emblem charm to give +20% crit chance to melee atks, your SG9 5X exclusive bonus also increases that melee crit chance to for a fvkcing whopping +70% Chance to crit on melee atk!!!!! Not only that, your default Suit Case increase chance for boxes and enemies to drop handgun ammo and you can get a charm to give you +20% chance to get extra crafted ammo!! lol You be drowning in HG Ammo for village part Chapters LOL!!
I'll try this out. I still don't have the cat ears unfortunately. I keep getting killed on silly stuff that I easily avoided in other game modes. Right now I'm replaying in NG mode trying to find/ get the last three clockwork castellans I missed previously. Plus it's good practice.😁

This is fairly interesting! I played the Dead Space remake earlier this year, and it also has an achievement of playing through the entire game with only the first weapon/pistol/laser cutter. Turns out that thing is INSANE when fully leveled up, so playing like that is in many ways BETTER than having other weapons. Seems like it's somewhat the same here.

The matilda fully upgraded with the stock is pretty op too especially with cat ears it's probably the best handgun, the cat ears actually make guns like cqbr rifle and Matilda really op as you no longer waste ammo

If your doing an S+ run you can kill saddler easily if you sell everything and buy the rocket launcher and wait for Ada to give you special rocket launcher

@@faabiiiii Infinite Rocketlauncher can only be used and bought in NEW GAME+ ONLY. To get Hand Canon you need to play the game on PRO with fresh NEW GAME (NOT NEW GAME+!!) playthrough without using any bonus weapons. You can sell bonus weapons for extra money too to make run easier for Hand Canon.
@@faabiiiii If you want Cat ears you need to beat Profession on NEW GAME (NOT NEW GAME+ with Infinite rocket launcher) with S+ rank only using 15 saves or less in under 5.5 hours. You can use any charms, costumes for ashley, and all bonus weapons to get cat ears, as long as you meet all other requirements I stated.
So what we have here is the power of starting weapon AND the *canon* weapon of choice of the main character trouncing everything else, not unlike Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda, that's pretty refreshing!
People that said the sg09 sucks are the same people that hated on the og handgun. I always like to try a run through of my favorite survival horror games with the starter handgun or equivalent like the plasma cutter in deadspace.
Hard to believe it's easier than using sweeper or handcannon, but I guess those don't even come online until chap 7, so maybe you have a point. Sounds ds fun though
I still dont get how the crit in this game works. In the original re4 it was applied on headshots only and literally every other headshot was an insta kill. I think in the remake it applies to bodyshots as well but i dont get even close to half of the insta kill headshots i did in the original re4. And i think in the original a crit meant certain death on a headshot (normal ganados) whereas in the remake i think it just increases the damage on that shot and applies to all sorts of enemies including bosses. In my experience it is no longer the OG head popper it was in the original which makes it less satisfying to use
If you're on consol wouldn't the sweeper be better? Since you can get the infinite ammo from its exclusive upgrade and its full auto so aiming isnt a big issue.
The og pistol final upgrade has a 1.5x headshot critical,which is by far my favourite handgun,not even the red9 top's it,the matilda maybe but that uses too much ammo
Anyways, maybe you are not awere that this is the most realistic situation where you have your trusty gun rather than take or buying a gun from a random place and dude who always call you a srtanger
How about in the starting fights, the village and the section after the factory, should you still use only handgun, i feel like you should use chicago for help there or is it really not neccesarry
I have done all other challenges in this game but Professional S+ and the last shooting range one (like don't miss any target), thanks to your videos and others. But S+ is just too hard for me due to requirement of only saving 15 times. I made a lot of mistakes and tired of keep retrying from last save file. If SG09 can be fully upgraded before cabin fight, it probably works for beginner like me. I will consider to give it a try.
This is the pistol that turned into my go to with tbe laser site. Still feel cheated out of 10 jewels just for the dot site. I’ll rarely use the tmp but liked it for the cabin fight or when more crowds of people you want to stun and get by. Haven’t tried the tmp stock yet.

I think ammo is more important than pesetas but you can try and see if it works for you.

TMP is still a more reliable way of doing this if you're not the best at aiming and if you're a console player.

Turns out that thing is INSANE when fully leveled up, so playing like that is in many ways BETTER than having other weapons. Seems like it's somewhat the same here.

The matilda fully upgraded with the stock is pretty op too especially with cat ears it's probably the best handgun, the cat ears actually make guns like cqbr rifle and Matilda really op as you no longer waste ammo

It's down to preference, sentinel is faster but lower damage
Now I want to replay professional mode for the 6th time but this time im going to fully max out the SG09 rather than the Punisher, Red 9, Blacktail and Matilda

If your doing an S+ run you can kill saddler easily if you sell everything and buy the rocket launcher and wait for Ada to give you special rocket launcher
I got my cat ears by your first guide especially as a console user I owe you for that. Im so in with this strat, my only problem is im afraid ill get ammo drought and the bugs i hate bugs. But thats what the game keeps us on edge, keep it up Neon
I dont get it... does the unlimited rocket launcher count as bonus weapon?? I didnt use the chicago sweeper... neither the unlimited knife... I didnt got it at all, why?
@@faabiiiiidid you do it in Professional, New game? The unlimited rocket launcher is only available in New game+, in which you cannot get the cat ears in NG+.
@@faabiiiii Infinite Rocketlauncher can only be used and bought in NEW GAME+ ONLY. To get Hand Canon you need to play the game on PRO with fresh NEW GAME (NOT NEW GAME+!!) playthrough without using any bonus weapons. You can sell bonus weapons for extra money too to make run easier for Hand Canon.
@@faabiiiii If you want Cat ears you need to beat Profession on NEW GAME (NOT NEW GAME+ with Infinite rocket launcher) with S+ rank only using 15 saves or less in under 5.5 hours. You can use any charms, costumes for ashley, and all bonus weapons to get cat ears, as long as you meet all other requirements I stated.

So what we have here is the power of starting weapon AND the *canon* weapon of choice of the main character trouncing everything else, not unlike Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda, that's pretty refreshing!
People that said the sg09 sucks are the same people that hated on the og handgun. I always like to try a run through of my favorite survival horror games with the starter handgun or equivalent like the plasma cutter in deadspace.
Hard to believe it's easier than using sweeper or handcannon, but I guess those don't even come online until chap 7, so maybe you have a point.

I still dont get how the crit in this game works. In the original re4 it was applied on headshots only and literally every other headshot was an insta kill. I think in the remake it applies to bodyshots as well but i dont get even close to half of the insta kill headshots i did in the original re4. And i think in the original a crit meant certain death on a headshot (normal ganados) whereas in the remake i think it just increases the damage on that shot and applies to all sorts of enemies including bosses. In my experience it is no longer the OG head popper it was in the original which makes it less satisfying to use
If you're on consol wouldn't the sweeper be better? Since you can get the infinite ammo from its exclusive upgrade and its full auto so aiming isnt a big issue.
One thing I find funny is that so many strats are fairly similar in nature but almost everyone has a different way of doing the village attack lol
The og pistol final upgrade has a 1.5x headshot critical,which is by far my favourite handgun,not even the red9 top's it,the matilda maybe but that uses too much ammo
Anyways, maybe you are not awere that this is the most realistic situation where you have your trusty gun rather than take or buying a gun from a random place and dude who always call you a srtanger
Would the sentinel nine be fine i know it's .1 less damage but it has way more ammo capacity and I think fire rate
How about in the starting fights, the village and the section after the factory, should you still use only handgun, i feel like you should use chicago for help there or is it really not neccesarry

I have done all other challenges in this game but Professional S+ and the last shooting range one (like don't miss any target), thanks to your videos and others. But S+ is just too hard for me due to requirement of only saving 15 times. I made a lot of mistakes and tired of keep retrying from last save file. If SG09 can be fully upgraded before cabin fight, it probably works for beginner like me. I will consider to give it a try.
This is the pistol that turned into my go to with tbe laser site. Still feel cheated out of 10 jewels just for the dot site. I’ll rarely use the tmp but liked it for the cabin fight or when more crowds of people you want to stun and get by. Haven’t tried the tmp stock yet.
