Oh, look, the Soundtrack to Woody Allen's dubbed spoof Japanese James Bond'esque movie What's Up, Tiger Lily! Featuring the Lovin' Spoonful. That one mighthave gotten a ride home with me 😊 Nice XTC in there as well. Revenge of the Nerds! One soundtrack on vinyl I hope to find one day is Better of Dead (John Cusack film). Congrats on the Smiths find 😊
The Sam The Sham Revue looked interesting.. I've never seen that release ! I'm waiting for the goods to show up.. Haha22.00 for an OG Meat Is Murder is a steal with a discount !
"How Soon Is Now" is one of the best songs to open side two of an album. I didn't need another copy of the album, but I just couldn't pass it up. It's brilliant. Fair price.
Thanks, Kevin. You paid a fair price for your copies. I still have my original copy, which I bought as a teenager. This was such a random find, I had to share.
I know you've been looking at Joe Jackson records lately, but I was wondering if you knew that you passed one by...There was an album with no artist name on it, just red and blue splotches. That is actually a "neo-classical" album by him. Some very nice finds there....excellent find with Meat is Murder and pretty good price too, especially since it's The Smiths, and a great discount to boot. Love that Otis Redding comp. Another very successful outing!
@mad4vinyl802 Yeah that Jackson album flew right by me for a while. The only way I found out about it was I saw it on cassette way back in the 90's in a $1 cut out bin and bought it completely blindly. It only came clear to me after I took the shrink off the cassette and opened it. I think I only listened to it once since I wasn't that interested in neo-classical music at the time, then got rid of my cassette shortly after. But if I ran across it now at a cheap price I would definitely give it another chance.
Whoever hid that Smiths LP in between those no-name records will be bummed when they see it's gone...ha! Quite a deal...you just never know what will pop up out there... 😎
You noticed that too. I was laughing to myself. That was the only record on that shelf without the red half-price stamp. Someone also hit the Revenge of the Nerds album on the bottom shelf where the 1.99 items were. I hope they find that one. 🤣
@ yeh that price did seem high. i know its almost a cliche now to say vinyl is overpriced but maybe two summers ago i found a copy of the buck rogers soundtrack which made me laugh. didnt know it even had a soundtrack. now thats a record that should be like $2 but it was priced at like $30 and i just was speechless.
Okay, so why the heck are prices so much lower by you. I have yet to find an antique store with prices even close to what the albums are worth. That was a good Smithereen album you passed by, maybe you had it already. You found a few gems in the pile of, well let’s just say not exciting records lol. Hard to film on lower shelves Mark

Congratulations! This is incredible 👏👏
Thanks, Brian. Now I just need to find a rack full of Smiths and Morrissey twelve-inch singles. 🙃
@mad4vinyl802 Good luck with that! 🙂
@EmbryonicRobot 🧐
Nice find. I got OG copies of Meat Is Murder and their debut at my local shop about 5 years ago. I think I paid $30 for each.

Thanks, Mike. I went with the Smiths album. The others had some condition issues. I didn’t pick up on the red and blue Jackson title.

Congratulations, Mark! That’s a great find! There were some enjoyable titles in there.
Thanks, Steve. I only took home that one record. A few of the ones I had an eye on were not in great condition.
more importantly…. did ya end up buying Revenge of the Nerds?
I didn't pick it up because I wasn't sure if I had that in my collection. Plus, the copy there was an overpriced reissue.

I’m terrible at flip videos. No cinematographer here. I do have the Smithereens title.

Thanks, Morten. I looked through all the other albums, but none of them met my criteria. I ended up leaving with just The Smiths!
@ Well, that was the important one 😊
