7:27 I didn't see the clear paint tray at first so I thought you were just pouring the paint straight on the tarp, which I thought was a degree of chaotic energy at least long dormant if not entirely undiscovered 😆
i literally panicked too!! like noo pj what are you doing 😭
Same! Haha
same ahaha, i was like "...brilliant new painting method or unhinged pj strikes again?"
glad i wasn't the only one😂
Same lmao, I was like oh wow
the slurp of tea and "not bad" at the end was so fatherly LOL
re: the generational "lack of knowledge"... generally, i think us younger folks are not as capable in older folks' eyes because they simply did not teach us growing up, and now we are figuring it all out from scratch. i don't know how it is in the uk, but in the us all the trade classes were totally removed from our regular schools. lmy older sisters (born '87/'89) had the option to take woodshop and car? shop classes in high school, but soon after those classes were phased out because they weren't adding to state testing scores, i guess. by the time i got to high school (born '98) those classes weren't available anymore. there were "alternative" schools available if i wanted to fully go into a trade, but there wasn't anything for us to casually learn life skills. never got any hands-on skills until i begged my dad to let me use his tools and scrap wood to learn to build a frame for my paintings. and he was still hesitant! i was 18!
I had a similar experience, though probably with a few less barriers because I gained an interest in sewing. My dad took home economic classes in his school because they decided to switch the girls and boys for a year so they’d learn some things on the other side of the spectrum. However I did not learn how to sew from him, I learned it from RUclips tutorials on plushie making. I’m just glad he encouraged me and advised me when I didn’t know what to do for a repair or an alteration. It’s coming in handy since I’ve been doing costuming for a couple years.
yep! the only reason i know any life skills is bc i basically begged my dad to teach me how to cook. i’m having to teach myself how to sew, basic car skills, tool skills, etc
What do you mean no combination of baking and masonry?! GINGERBREAD HOUSES, PJ! YOU MADE ONE! Silly goose!
“I don’t know where she gets that from” and then the zoom in on the face was adorable hehe
I CANNOT wait for the shed organization video 😏 …unless that was a lie 🙃
Anyway, I love the shelf and bracket choice! Along with the with the color, it just looks so cozy. And it must’ve felt great to declutter that spot as well!
That shed as gave me anxiety lol
Another great installment in the "PJ turns his Honey-Do list into a fun youtube video" series 😄 next I want to see him clean the gutters
thank you for letting us still in renters hell live vicariously through your delightful home diy projects ^_^ truly the dream
For a moment I couldn't see the paint tray and thought you were just dumping it straight onto the dropcloth and I didn't question it.
“Measure twice, drill once”
And in that moment I realized PJ had gone full dad
The way I got so tense with you putting the laser to the camera. I’ve heard so many horror stories of camera sensors being destroyed because of light show lasers
Seeing you do DIY project is so satisfying, would love to see more
I was hesitant about the green but dang did it look good!
Also I see SO many influencers doing DIY and grew up with DIY youtube so where boomers get that idea is wild, but at the same time, we also generally don't have the chance to do this kind of DIY as so many of us are still renting so Ikea furniture is about all we can do lmao
I have been a fan of pj since I was a teen and I don’t think I have seen a video for years and the nostalgia this gave me. Unreal. I adore colour bandits and the early skits but the laid back humour in this and my newer lives of renovation is just top tier. Gotta love all of it xx
the beat at 2:13 with the bg music. oof satisfying
the sound of the paint can opening is EXTREMELY satisfying. like a little song.
This shade of green is so pleasant and it was fun watching you put this space together
Looks great!! When you poured the paint into the tray I genuinely thought you were pouring it onto the floor!!!
That cabinet being almost the same green, but not quite, would drive me nuts if I had to look at that every day! Or maybe it's not as obvious in person. That 'breakfast green' is so pretty, though! 😍 Lovely job, you two!
Finding out what an accent wall is and who Agatha Christie is, all in one day. A wild ride
this gave me the motivation to finally fill up some of the holes the previous tenants left in the house and repaint some walls so thanks pj!
you mentioned about too bad there isn’t something combing baking and building - there kinda is!! netflix show “baking impossible” pairs a pro baker with an experienced engineer & challenges them to build wild edible contraptions like a boat that is wind-powered & actually sails across the water - made of cake!! i think you’d enjoy, it’s very entertaining & fairly technical!!
love the kitchen upgrade by the way, such a chill vibe we love to see it 💚✨
The way the paint can creaking as you pried it open kinda matched the rhythm of the 20th Century Fox intro
peej videos are always a welcome balance of calm and chaos
it turned out beautiful!
can’t wait to see the shed reorganize!!!
DUDE NO WAY PJ STILL MAKES VIDEOS. I love my nostalgic RUclips rabbit hole binges, cheers!
This video was so calming to me for some reason, I wanted it to go on forever
The glam tap tap was the best part and I'm not even 3 minutes in this cannot be topped
it turned out so cool! love that shade of green. by the way if anyone wants to get inspired by more DIY i can highly recommend the channels Tina Le and Rachel Metz - those women just started - making - things and it is crazy how talented they are!
PJ, I've loved your work for years now, please never leave RUclips ! Your channel is the creative bubble this media desperately needs 💪
I was reminded of PJ after he did stuff with D&P a while ago and I've been enjoying watching his videos again 😂 the artistic slow but dramatic vibe is so nice
Dan and Phil rubbing off with the feature wall lol
because the paint tray is clear i had a mini heart attack thinking you were pouring it on the floor. oh my goodness i was so confused why you would do that only to be reassured quickly that you didn't XD
PJ I must say your glasses in this video are my favorite by far!! Ngl I may start scowering the internet for the same pair for myself OuO
The pots of old batteries are so relatable 😂
The laser thing is so cool!!
I too have mugs of old batteries! They’ve gotten a bit mixed up by different people in the house so now we can’t figure out which are bad and which are still partly usable. 😆
How did Fuji not come running when you crinkled the treat bags!? My cats materialize and start shouting at me the second my fingers graze a treat bag lol.😅
this was an excellent watch!! i'm now feeling very inspired and excited to have my own space to decorate one day soon :)
your diy vids are always super fun, so this was such a joy to watch!! the shelves are so professional 🤌 and the green wall was such a nice touch! loved this :")
you’ve made a cat bed, you’ve hung shelves. i think we all know what’s next… CAT SHELVES!
Waah the ending song! Just got hit with nostalgia ^^
I like the “laser”
i love these videos! they make me excited for a future dream home with my lovely partner. idk if we will ever be able to afford a home together that we can renovate permanently but its nice to imagine :-) decorating and non permanent DIY will be fun too!
turned out great! good job!
that shade of green is so Perfect for the space !!
This was just so lovely
my dog really enjoyed watching this
Great targeted millennial video. It had it all: a green feature wall, useful gadgets, home organisation. 10/10.
It looks so good!!
3:12 "My holes cna take me anywhere!"
"like... french?" really tickled me
This looks so good!!!
Looks soooooo good!!!
OMG that green is absolutely gorgeous!
would have loved a good old before-and-after swoop shot :)
Looks awesome ❤
It turned out so cute 😍🌱
Delightful video!! Your kitchen looks super tasty!!
Baking and masonr would be something like a gingerbread house ;)
now granpa can make more cookies here
My cat loves the tape. She comes running to bite the tape.
i LOVE that shade of green
Oh my fricking god! I need that laser box in my life!
It turned out really nice. The green wall is back, babyy
You should do a cat litter box enclosure next!
As a not native English speaker, I learned what an accent wall was thanks to Dan and Phil
A perfect accent wall
the sage colour they had was so nice though I think I’m gonna paint my room that colour
this video made me want to fix my bedroom door that won't shut properly
this is cute! it makes want to do my kitchen as well. thank you for inspiring me
Delightful video✨
That green colour is so pretty💚
I remember when my parents painted the kitchen walls green and mom's friend come to visit. She just *stated* that green is not suitable color for a kitchen. How rude is that??? According to the Experts. Reason was something to do with it being not good for appetite, idk.
It was the first time I remember something being renovated in my childhood home, so it must've felt crappy to my mom to have someone who is into interior design to say she made the absolute incorrect choice.
Anyway, green is The colour now and we still have the green walls because my mom chose a color she liked and we are poor so we don't have to follow the whims of trends 😅
I like it too and haven't got tired of it so I don't really see the point of going to someone's home and basically say it's revolting😐
Just use colour the way you yourself like it!!! (and wouldn't mind looking at for +twenty years, if it came to that)
It's beautify!
I seen you in Dan & Phil's videos Year's ago, but just recently started watching your channel and I am sad I missed out on you vids, but I will be bing watching.
More projects, YES !!! :D can someone please tell me what's that laser box thingy called ? would actually save my life
Yay Pj content!!
okay but im watching this video while opening new card game, right as pj said "no turning back now" (7:29) i was just about to shuffling them for the first time thinking its now or never =... weird (also completely unrelate to the video, sorry, but cool video! love the green!!)
lovely
Not me trying to guess wether it’s a small kitchen or a small makeover before the video starts but absolutely no reason 😂😂😂
i have a pouch where i store old batterys, i call it dead cells or sometimes spleen.
peej this is beautiful
Thanks, Papa Peej
here we go!
Yay
PJ points laser at camera
Me: Screams in film student
idk if i'm just stupid or what but I fell for the 'I don't like...' bit BOTH TIMES
I realized how close I am to 30 by how enjoyable this video was.
You're so cool PJ
plok
plok gang
Agatha Christie
i still can't get over how he doesn't know who agatha christie is @@melinakunzli6865 😭
this is so odd but i normally don't like videos about peoples daily livelihoods because i got my own life to think about, like why would i watch someone else do it, but i be damned, i fricking love this (probably because i relate very much as a artist with our resident artist weirdo) just like how im loving Pewds vlogs. xD
Lovely! 👌🌿🍽
What is that amazing laser tool called?!
maybe weird question but I like the throw blanket at 7:12 a lot, where did you get it from? 😅
Still not over the Agatha Christie debacle
💛
Bakery + masonry is pottery, no?
No combination of bakery and masonry?? Did I not watch you make a gingerbread house a month ago??
💚💚💚
Ok but how are you going to show a badass LASER LEVEL and NOT give us the link/brand???
