The reason he sings so high is because originally the studio Ling Tosite Sigure (the 3 piece band he is in) practiced in had no in-ear monitor. And he started out as a guitar player, so he had his guitar volume drowning out his vocals. So to hear his own voice he would sing an octave higher.

It's a chinese anime, so slightly different to the stuff you've reacted to so far, but it's got some of the vibest music and animation I've ever seen.
