This had to be one of the funniest overland adventure episodes I have seen. I cried laughing several times. The tacos…oh man…we have all been there. “Eat more tacos…tells your system, this is the way it is”. Priceless.
the van struggling up that hill broke me, LOL, this being an overland show and all. oh! and the drone footage of the certified diver struggling to get out of the surf!! loved this episode guys!!
Man honestly their 4Runner rufio is the reason why I fell in love with this channel. One of my favorite builds of all time. Was excited for them to do a big trip with a 4runner again. Sad that they won’t be able to get it in time cause this 4runner looked awesome but will still watch for all the other sick Toyota trucks they have.
Awesome stuff in this one. Scuba diving is amazing but very technical. My dad was a navy diver and taught me to scuba when I was a boy. Then took a scuba diving in class which was pretty awesome. Is been nearly 20 years since I have scuba dove. Learning to stay calm and NEVER panic no matter what is huge. This was so cool to watch.
More humor and more inside footages ... I would say, youre getting back to the old days ... and better !! I think, this vid really shows a more relaxed adventure ... and when we get to see to friends, with a paper map, we know ... we feel ... we live ... those moments much more graceffuly !! Thank you so much !! ... and I love the cooking moments !! Great job !!!! Cheers
I've loved everything you guys have done. So inspirational. What I am enjoying most now is seeing how you've matured in your filming process, making it your own. You appear relaxed, rolling with the punches, and look like you're all really enjoying the process.
Great shots. Thanks for showing the good and bad with the scuba certification. I think it helps demystify it seeing what can go wrong and what can go right.
Love watching these big trips. The camera work, the obvious post production work, the storytelling, and of course the fact that it makes me feel like I'm there with you. Gives me the excitement to get out there and adventure myself.
We are locked and loaded with our morning coffee, so excited to immerse ourselves in this much anticipated publication. Thank you for the escape. Sincerely Mike and Carolyn your friends at MC Ranch Overland!!!
Another great episode. I really appreciate your perseverance Pete and not letting your type one get in the way of fallowing your dreams man 👍. Caroline you got this girl I know you will come back along with Rochelle and get your certification. Thanks for the years of inspiration you all have given me. 🤙 Stay Awesome
Another great adventure. the perfection of all aspects in these trips really elevates this from a great production to an actual piece of art, you should be very proud of yourselves.
This is one of a kind. As a sailor of the seas, I find your land lubberly experience refreshing and freeing in an inexpressibly way. Perhaps in my winter of years, I might find an extra dimension to my years on this planet. Thank your so much.
Great videography. The water is so warm and clear on the Sea of Cortez side. I am guessing that would have been a much better experience for all. Looks like this will be a great adventure.
Sucks that a few of you got sick and couldn't finish the scuba class. The guy struggling to get out of the water had me rolling.🤣 Nice adventure so far. 👍🏻😎
G'day from Down Under...EP1 & 2 outstanding and thanks 👏for sharing the journey...being myself an Advanced Open Water qualified I know the struggle but oh it is so much fun...can't wait to see the rest of the journey!👍😎💯%🇦🇺
What a great episode. Loved the line about the tacos. Luckily, living in Phoenix, my body is conditioned to handle everything the Southwestern and Mexican culinary universe has to offer. And I'm super proud of Peter! What an amazing accomplishment.
Ryan trying to get out of the water reminded me of trying to be a Travel RUclipsr during a global pandemic! Also that skottel bit is so funny! Most South Africans dont use them anymore; funny enough! @Tanner I know that feeling of being the last one awake, making sure all the footage is backed up.. I almost fell asleep in a chair one night on my recent trip. Luckily I went to bed when I did; we had hyena's come through our campsite a hour or two later.
LOL, so true! Yikes on the hyena's, Shelly had that experience in Botswana and never got out of her tent at night! Love hearing about your adventures, thank you!
I shipped my FJ twice. First time (no experience) from FL to Panama (Manzanillo port - Colon) on a Ro-Ro ship in 2014. Learned during the process. Second time - from Panama (Manzanillo port - Colon) on a 20ft container back to Miami, FL - late November 2019. The process to get the car out of Panama was the hardest one and expensive. My stress level was the highest ever. And even when we crossed to Canada (Fort Erie), driving, I was still nervous. Though, 16 months of prior research did the job before moving to Canada. Would do it again. P.S: Adding my two cats to the Panama - U.S - Canada trip. They even needed a permit to leave Panama. Still, would do it again.
Wow, I was nervous about Pete diving, never saw Caroline tapping out coming. That was heartbroken...she held those tight. Rachelle's up chuck.. diving is no joke.
I was in Bozeman this summer and wanted to drive by your headquarters. I checked your website and saw that you keep that info private (for obvious reasons) and thought I was out of luck. I was there to film a wedding that just so happened to be at a venue that is VERY close to your place. Wild coincidence that I got to drive right by on the way to the wedding. I may or may not have geeked out a bit getting to see your rigs all parked out front. Your content is awesome!
Sad for Dan & Caroline... hope they get to finish up and certify at some point! La Bufadora is a pretty hard-core place to certify... swells there aren't so fun all the time.
After years of living in and traveling thru south Texas, I’ve learned a few things about eating Mexican food… 1. Gringo stomachs are just weaker than Latino stomachs; 2. The juicier the taco, the better, but also the more dangerous; 3. While we tend to fear meat the most, for pathogens, it’s the raw veggies/salsa/sauces most likely to get you- they aren’t cooked and, often, aren’t even washed before processing.
As someone who has been scuba certified since 1978 seeing you guys do an online class scares me a little . The problems that can crop up while diving really need a hands on experience to not panic while diving because panic is the thing that is most likely to kill you while diving . I've had a problem at 120 ft deep my regulator lost a seal at the diaphragm and I started getting half water half air but because fortunately I didn't panic , I had my dive buddy and we did a buddy breath assent and it was fine but that is a place any panic will almost certainly end in death . That Montezuma's revenge is bad though when you're not used to that kind of food , I was born and raised in San Diego so getting a sampler platter in Mexico is fine for me but you northern people don't have the stomach for that LOL . Sorry it sucks and I know how bad that can be but it's kind of funny from my perspective because I saw it coming during dinner the night before . I did like the cure , more of the same , this is how life is so get used to it LOL
Thank you! The online portion of the class are made up of the 'in class' videos they would have you watch. This is how most Padi classes are now. The team all did great and we agree, diving is no joke and you need to be sure to get good training. Us Northern folk for sure have to get our stomach's used to the new diet, totally worth it though!
@@ExpeditionOverland it's funny the difference now with PADI vs NAUI back then . I got certified by PADI about 18 years ago when I put my kids through the class . It's far more family orientated than NAUI was , seriously the NAUI class was more like boot camp compared to PADI being a camp out . 8 of us started the NAUI class and 2 failed , they could not hack it but I will say this , if you passed a NAUI class there is pretty much nothing that can happen you haven't dealt with during class from equipment failure to CPR on the water and even how to deal with sharks among other sea creatures (east coast barracuda yikes). Our dive instructor Pete was a guy that would try everything to trip you up , rip your mask off and toss it before you know he's even there or turn off your tank while your swimming along , and the stories go on , fun guy LOL in the end we were all good friends .

Thanks for being here everyone! This for sure was a 'type 2' fun type of adventure, lol. Enjoy and we will see you all at 7pm mst!
