Thank you. I think I remember Jago Hazzard making a short documentary about that underground "train" some time ago. I don't remember him talking about the former entrance, though.
It's on RUclips some ubex people get in there and end up getting nicked by the old Bill, a few years ago, Ps can't remember who it was full of big pipework all the way along, 💯🤗 oi oi London massive
Very interesting. If I had a key, I would lock Jeremy Vine and Cyclng Mikey down there😆 For the avoidance of doubt, this is a joke and does not constitute a threat to these two worthy warriors for justice.
I have watched Urban Explorers RUclips channels who have probably been in that tunnel. It's crazy how many tunnels are under our great city. Miles and miles of abandoned tunnels mixed with tunnels that are used for utilities etc. Exploring with fighters is a good one where he and other RUclips ers have a sweet adventure. A few intact.
Wow, we have something very similar in Hamburg, Germany. They preserved the Tunnel very nicely, also the old lifts and you can use it on foot or by bike.
My mother always left my dad at home travelling to London numerous times Don’t let him extinguish your desire to travel! Find a good travel group and get yourself over to the UK! Or go with a friend. Don’t necessary need a tour group. It’s super easy to get around the UK and Ireland
Very interesting. Walked past it many times but never knew the history of it….
Thanks
Now I know the meaning of ‘Hidden in plain sight‘.
Thought he was gonna mention the ice cream van .
😂😂😄
What's even more missed about it: it's actually a hot dog van!
Being a New Yorker, I love stories of forgotten infrastructure! 💙
Mr London Guide you need to contact the company and get a tour down there!
A great idea but Health and Safety 'police' would never allow it, I'm sure
Fascinating
Very fascinating ... thanks for sharing...I wish you could take us down inside the tunnel. 🙂
You don't need 'very' with 'fascinating'. This is because 'fascinating' is a strong adjective.
Love these informative vids, thank you 🫡 ✊🏽👏🏽
I wonder if the counterpart on the other
side is still existent? Or go the pipes and cables through a modern building?
Go and check it out, 😂 but you only see the outside of the construction.
That's what you think bro. The truth is , it is the men in black head quarters .
Nahhh, it's just a TARDIS but this one can adjust to the surroundings better 😂
@@DoctorMysterio15 The doctor fixed the chameleon circuit 😂
Wow. Being there loads of times and missed it
This is brilliant
Now it's a pedo tunnel😂
@@leroyroots5628 are you ok?

My words exactly !
That’s such a shame it’s it’d be such a cool little snapshot of history if it was till a walkway or a carriage under the Thames
Never knew that! COOL!
I love this channel
Was this used for shelter during the Blitz?
The world's first deep level underground railway
I learned that from Jay Foreman
So cool. Thank you
Honestly thought you were about to do a video on the ice-cream truck😂
So cool!

We still have one of these in Glasgow. It's free though.
the old tunnel under the river Elbe is still open for use...
By the time I visit London again I will have forgotten unfortunately. Brain like a .. eh…thing with holes in it.
Remarkable❤❤❤
It’s so cute.
There's one of these next to the Clyde river in Glasgow Scotland
Super cool.
Just like the Greenwich tunnel!
Cool!!
That's where James Bond lives. Fact
Is this the he same as the tunnel down by the cutty sark
No!
It holds pipes, cables...and treasure.
Very interesting. If I had a key, I would lock Jeremy Vine and Cyclng Mikey down there😆

Power cables?
I know some electrons who might be interested to go there...

So this is how the Tesla-Tunnels will work out eventually...
Love Touring with You❤
So interesting❤
Why didn't he do a short about the ice cream van? That van is always there and has been since 1678 !
👍👍
Is the other end marked in a building too??
Could use a good power wash!
Fun fact- don’t go to the Starbucks across the way. Truly awful
Can you still use it?
An ice cream van? Oh... Oh.... Nm 😁 (oh, it's actually hot dogs. Double nevermind lol)
Victorian hyperloop....
I saw people urinating on it many times so it is a toilet
Classy.
Oh i remember this
I wish I could go to London, Ireland, and Scotland but my husband of 46 years won't put down his remote.

God that city is a slum
Emergency toilet cubicle.
How they turned something amazing into something boring... 🤣
People would pay loads of money to walk that tunnel today 💯🤣
So what did they use it for, before 1870 because it is way older then that
Why check it out now? I think I’ve learned all there is to know and this little short video.
Is the tunnel still there? It would be fantastic to go along it if it was!
“It still holds pipes and cables today” yep that’s what that means lol that there’s a tunnel still there and it has pipes and cables In it
@@Mr1121628 punctuation is your friend and speaks volumes you could try it out lolololololoolololol
Yes it’s still there. Went inside it a few years ago.

It does indeed! Still used for pipes and cables today
In the UK, we go and take a look at things. We don't "check things out". This is because we are not Americans.
In the uk we do not care how people talk
@@crashbash8549 I do, and I'm in the UK. Too much lazy Yankee talk on TV and social media.
