What an absolute class act by Mick Cronin. Even giving responses like I know what you mean I understand what you’re saying but not being able to answer shows that even in loss there can be grace. Well done coach Cronin
Coach Mick is going to have a VERY EASY recruitment process. All the best players will be lined up. I can't think of a more dynamic change of perception that has just occurred. UCLA can pick and choose their talent now. That's huge.
Great game, they played the Zags tough. Gave them a lot more than they wanted. Being beat by a 30-0 tram by a almost half court shot, wow.

Suggs shot was basically a pull up jump from 40 feet!!! Now of course he didn’t mean to bank it, but most shots like that are heaves reminds me of a Nick Andersen shot against Indiana in 1989. What a game UCLA was awesome and as usual so was Gonzaga. I will take this over the NBA any day.
I loved him at Cincinnati. I know he will be successful at UCLA.
He is a great coach, got the best out of his players when it counted.

I'm a UCLA alumnus who is so proud of my Bruins. They were 14 point underdogs and it took a half-court shot, as time expired in overtime, to beat our team. Congratulations to the Bruins for an outstanding NCAA tournament performance! I'm so looking forward to next year.

Bruins didn't lose they just ran out of time. That team did absolutely everything they needed to do to win the game. Truly special team.
@wild cat You know, going into that game I might have agreed with you. They stomped that idea into the ground last night. As a zags fan I kept saying all game that its ok they will pull away eventually, UCLA can't keep shooting like this. So wrong. That team can ball.

What a game! Great job UCLA. Three overtime games. Two times dealing with 40 foot jump shots, overcoming Alabama in overtime. Well done. Hard to be on the short end of it. But Great job.

I would ask why on the last possession they continued with the relaxed nonchalant bringing of the ball up court. This was great all game but I think he had to rush that last shot a bit, UCLA that is. The end of regulation maybe...

UCLA has their best coach since John Wooden, and that includes Jim "Where 's my expense account?" Harrick.
He may become that but I'll go with Larry Brown in the meantime.
Proud of you guys -players and the coaching staff. You over achieved and showed everyone not to count the Bruins out. Garbage calls down the road. Foul on Riley on a dunk that wasn’t called and bogus charging foul on Juzang to end the half. Stay strong UCLA. Bruins are back.
It was a well officiated game. Cronin said so if you actually listened. Don't be one of those guys who blames losses on the officials. Neither team deserved to lose.

A heavyweight toe to toe slugfest, best game in years. UCLA figured out how to neutralize each of their opponents strength. Wow, Michigan St, Alabama, Michigan and Gonzaga, and just one game short of title game. From the ruins came the Bruins.
I’m a UCLA alum, Class of 1975. Extremely proud of my Bruins, they definitely exceeded expectations against a great Gonzaga team.
Hope that Mick Cronin stays at UCLA for a long time. If he does, I predict that UCLA will consistently be among the elite teams in College basketball.

The guy is a complete liar.. Watch the video, after UCLA scores to tie the game you can see Cronin running down the sideline but he is motioning to his players to get back not to come up and pressure the ball. What a dickhead.

All he has are excuses! “Still a bank shot from half court”, “wasn’t the best game he has been a part of because he didn’t win”, “ i am sure the ref didn’t purposefully want to cost us the game with the charge call at the end of reg”. Most all of the great coaches take loses with humility. He should be happy they made it this far. Gonzaga played their game and UCLA played up to them. Good season Bruins, Gonzaga was just the better team.
That was an awful call.
UCLA was the better team.. And would of played better against Baylor
