    A full court press would’ve made it more difficult I mean Jalen ran the ball up past half court without any problems

    As a UCLA fan... We were near perfect for all but 3.3 seconds. It was half luck that the shot went in but there's no excuse for Suggs being so open. I'm very proud of my Bruins, the future is bright!!

      @@parkerhall6742 Then you simply don’t foul. Playing defense without fouling isn’t difficult at all. Playing the ball aggressively for steals and blocks is totally different from letting a guy freely advance the ball up court when the game/season is on the line. Fought hard and played fearless all game but lose fight and confidence in the last 3 seconds? Champions wouldn’t do that so they got sent home.

Which makes ir the moment after being released. If so, that makes it 3. But there's 2 more a smoker surely knows. 1 is after a good meal & the other in which I'm sure he's referring to is moment after that probably TRUMPS them all, after a good 💩.

      Yeah in mick cronin’s interview he said that he tried to tell them to trap but they just didn’t hear him in time. The worst part is they’ve lost two games because of a last second shot and the Alabama game went to overtime because they couldn’t defend the last second shot. You’d think they would learn.

    It helps that the clock STOPS on a made basket at the end of the game. If the clock runs and UCLA stays up that opportunity to shoot it is decreased. Last point I’ll make I thought that charge at the end was a blocking foul but that’s a tough call either way.

      Dude a 30% 3pt shooter and hit a near half court bank shot. Obviously luck and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot he obviously didn’t call bank and sometimes that’s how basketball plays out. Suggs is a stud and he is clutch but that individual shot was clearly luck

    What I still don’t get is when you have a time out and 9 seconds or so left after crossing half court why would UCLA not take a time out to come up with a good organized play maybe they could’ve avoided OT if they did.

      ucla didnt have a timeout. gonzaga did

  • @walterlv01
    @walterlv01 3 года назад

    95% of coaches in Mark Few's position would have called timeout after the tying basket, diagrammed up a play that the opponent would have had time to draw up a defense for, and not ended up with anywhere near as good a shot as Suggs got in transition. That's why I favor not calling a timeout and letting your guys' basketball instincts take over in that situation.

    • @justsomeguy2142
      @justsomeguy2142 3 года назад

      At lower tiers of competition yes, basketball is 5v5 but unfortunately the higher up you go it really does become a 1 on 1 or 2 v 5 game where the focus are on a select few players. And if those players do bad its on the team, if they do well its on them and a pat on the back. Basketball is ego ball nowadays
