This explains a lot about him. He helped the Chiefs to win the AFC Championship and he still didn't get his OC job back at KC. It is clear he is probably the reason why HE is not getting hired
It's hard to know what is preventing Eric Bienemy from getting a head coaching opportunity in the nfl? There has to be something in the personality type? He is clearly experienced and had success with The Chiefs. Even if you look deeper into some of the metrics for The Commanders, there are some positives(mostly in passing metrics, i'm not sure why he didn't emphasize running the ball more with a young inexperienced qb?) I don't believe ethnicity is a major factor(it could always be a minor factor but whether it is or isn't is impossible to gauge) I think when one is trying to get a job, it's important that the person's doing the hiring have some type of personal comfort with you, since you will be working for them, for the organization, and dealing with people on a a day to day basis. Maybe Bienemy has a gruff, tough, hard to like personality? Even with prospective employers he may not be gregarious, extroverted, likeable, etc......? We have to remember a head coach with 8 SB titles was also not hired this hiring cycle . I think Eric Bienemy will eventually get an nfl head coaching opportunity. Then it will be up to him to make the best of it. I am wishing him a successful career at UCLA, which i hope leads to a head coaching opportunity at either the pro or collegiate level.
Here are some reasons he may not be getting job. Runningbacks aren't usually head coahes, didn't call plays for KC. Netflix show about Mahomes showed Bienemy didn't work with Mahomes much , Naggy did, players like Mccoy said he did nothing but yell , during an interview when asked about a play he didn't remember, may not interview well, multiple arrest as player including putting hands around throat of a women, Dui as an Adult. Left Colorado under suspiciousens that he supplied recruits with drugs and prostitutes, offense got worst in Washington, Washington had him in the building and didn't hire him as a head coach, KC black gm got a job with Bears and didn't interview Bienemy, Washington players complaining about his coaching style.
@@soda8736 ....all extremely valid possible reasons. Good list. Mostly i think it's just a personality thing. People on the hiring level may feel he "might" be hard to work with? Same reason 8 time SB winning coach Bill Belichick wasn't hired this particular cycle. If we look at most of the recent head coach hires, there seems to be a trend towards men execs believe they can work with, less experience, maybe less ego, more modern concepts and philosophies, etc.... We didn't see organizations running out to hire Carroll, Belichick, Vrabel, Gruden, Rivera, etc..... Maybe next season's hiring cycle will be different and a little more willing to try going old school and bringing in these more experienced coaches? It really just takes one gm or owner that wants to give Eric Bienemy his first shot and then it will be up to him to make good on the hire. Should he have already gotten at least an opportunity? That's debatable. However you listed a lot of reasons why he probably hasn't been given an opportunity but the one thing i really believe it has likely come down to is his interview style. His personality type. The perception or belief that he might be difficult to work with or get along with, from the perspective of ownership/management. Maybe he had inside ties to the folks there at UCLA or maybe the new head coach wanted him badly? Clearly someone was an advocate. The Coach Tomlin story is the one that comes to mind as well as the Steve Kerr story with Golden State. Those men zinged their interviews even though neither was the favorite going in. I think Eric Bienemy might be a candidate who needs an advocate inside an nfl organization because he is not going to zing his interviews.
I don’t think people understand how getting these kinds of jobs work. It has *nothing* to do with a Xs and Os. It is hype and relationships. “You have to hire Jim Harbaugh” Everyone in the media said it. Everyone behind closed doors said it. The owners, the GMs, etc. all take on a scarcity mindset and chase the same 3 guys for 8 openings. Then there’s the “he reminds me of” syndrome. The next best thing is the replica of the guy I couldn’t hire. EB doesn’t have the hype, the relationships, hasn’t gotten the credit, and doesn’t “remind” owners of Jim, Kyle, or Sean.

No amount of mental gymnastics will convince me that an OC calling shotgun runs on 4th and 1 is worth anything
@@sbp69 You make absolutely no sense what you wanna do on 4th and 1 put a fullback in the game run the iform and lose 2 yards on the play cuz everybody knows what’s coming…
I like Keyshawn he going place!!!
Sherm 👀👀👀
Sherm was at Skips house partying......wonder who called the cops on him?
Shannon
I know they happened over 20 years ago and people change and all that but you simply cannot have this conversation without stating the following:
-‘90 arrested shoving a firefighter
-‘93 grabbed/threatened female in parking lot, Banned from University for 1 year
-‘98 Arrested bar fight
-‘01 arrested for DUI
-Drivers License suspended
-‘04 alleged by ESPN used drugs and alcohol to entice recruits
People can change over time, especially given the amount of time that has passed and I do think he deserves a HC Job, however, you can’t simply omit these facts that some may say can lead to a potential pattern of behavior
Choo choo! All aboard the excuse train! CHOO CHOO!!!
Even if you look deeper into some of the metrics for The Commanders, there are some positives(mostly in passing metrics, i'm not sure why he didn't emphasize running the ball more with a young inexperienced qb?)
I don't believe ethnicity is a major factor(it could always be a minor factor but whether it is or isn't is impossible to gauge)
I think when one is trying to get a job, it's important that the person's doing the hiring have some type of personal comfort with you, since you will be working for them, for the organization, and dealing with people on a a day to day basis.
Key and skip alone ain’t bad. Richard is the weak link
Keyshawn has been the only reason this show is watchable for awhile. Besides his lebrick takes, he gets it all right.
So y'all gon make Sherman apologize on camera like y'all had Shannon apologize after his altercation w the Grizzlies?????
Last time USC was good? I agree with everything else KJ said, though.
I thought Kansas city would hire him
they won sb without him. whoever they got as his replacement is working
@@davidto4964 Apparently he drove to visit the Chiefs when they were facing the Ravens, so he was somewhat included.
@@martystlouis22In fact it was Andy Reid who called EB to come in and talk to the team before the AFC Championship game
@@LeetraviusMcKay-q6mI'm extremely late but I'm trying to figure out what happened at the chiefs to cause him to no longer be there after all those years? Did I miss something? Did they release him or something?
@@MrChosenEB wanted to prove that he could be a head coach and call plays
What do you mean he hasn’t had an opportunity? Wasn’t he a head coach last year?
Cold heartedly? No. WHOLE heartedly. Sheesh.
Where's Richard Fellas?
I swear people Be forgetting Matt Nagy had the Bears a Double Doink away from an NFC Championship Game with Mitch Trubisky.
Why he not still coaching there ?
@younghelpfultrillionaire Pace chose Him and Trubisky. They all had to go. I will concede though, I don't think Nagy was ready to be an HC. Bill Lazor was Nagy OC and he's developing CJ Stroud in Houston as we Speak...
With Lovie's players and went downhill as Nagy molded his own team.
Key saying SC doesn’t need a Hollywood Head Coach. Yet they hired Pete Carroll and Lincoln Riley.
Peyton Manning fell in the lap of Tony Dungy, so I’m not sure why we’re making this stuff up right now
I don't get why he was not hired as another OC somewhere.
Anthonny lynn was handed a hall of fame qb and a top 10 roster, then a year of Justin Herbert.
And didn’t get as many years as Brandon Staley
That franchise is a dumpster fire
@@prolific1518 yeah, wasted rivers , wasting Herbert now. They’ve put together amazing rosters, just always has key injuries, terrible luck. I’m a atheist and it’s made me question things, no team can be that unlucky

A Damn shame this man still needs to prove himself😐
David weck is a legend y’all don’t even know
When I heard EB was leaving his team I thought he’d be hired immediately
How many offenses do you want that media creation to ruin before you admit he knows nothing about running an offense. The Redskins were somehow a worse offense with him than they were the year before
Why was Keyshawn in JUCO? Cause of his earing? Yeah I believe that.
Good luck Sherm
Wy did the panthers not hire him for the head coach this is insane.
The teams with the most nil money will win in recruiting.
Richard in the holding cell back soon
