    Our Sephora here in Malaysia doesnt stock the Cinema Secrets cleanser. Ive found the Dove beauty soap bar works great for brushes and sponges. I wash my foundation brushes after every application. Only takes a couple of minutes and its dry for next day. Sponges are the same.

      I tried Dove but it took longer for me to get my brushes and sponges clean than the Irish spring soap. I think maybe the moisturizers in them. I just rinse with alcohol when I finish washing and rinsing them so any germs are killed too. 😉

      Go to Daiso (if you have a store) and get their sponge and puff cleanser. It's amazing and it cleans like a dream.

      Irish spring works way better and faster than these products for me too. I just rinse with alcohol after they are clean and let them dry.

    The instructions gor the Cinema Secrets brish cleaner say to dip the brush in no more than half way. I barely dip my brushes unless it's larger or densely packed. I have the lemon scented one and the daily brush cleaning spray is awesome too. Would recommend Cinema Secrets!

    Tried the products. Took forever to clean my sponges and brushes. Switched to using a simple bar of irish spring soap and rinse when done in alcohol. Saved time and money. And lots of frustration. I replaced a $36 foundation brush 4 times before finding I could Irish spring to get it clean when the products didn't work. ( I also had tried dawn dish soap (did not work) alcohol mixed woth baking soda and white vinegar and dozens of other options! Irish spring 5 minutes and all my brushes and blenders and sponges were clean and I did not have to throw anything away.)

    So I watched this when it was first uploaded and while I did I say and washed my brushes with the liquid cleaner I have (requires water) and it was annoying and a long process and didn’t work great.
    I admit the foundation brush’s were REALLY in need of the wash. 😳
    So I decided to order the CinemaSecrets liquid. It arrived today and OMFG it is SO EASY! And so EFFECTIVE!!! I cleaned all of my brushes (40+) in the time it took me to wash 5 the other night. And I washed the 5 I had already washed and was not surprised to see how much makeup came off those supposedly clean brushes.
    I will never go back. Convert for life. If you’re thinking about getting the products David uses - DO IT! Im so glad I did. But I’m bummed I didn’t splurge on the big bottle of cleanser. Im placing a new order today for that.

    My beauty blender goes into the washing machine (garment bag) on delicate cycle. Contaminated tools are no joke. (There are some nasty eye infection germs out there, etc. Same reason to not wear contact lenses for too long.)

    • @renekrienitz5131
      @renekrienitz5131 3 года назад

      You can’t use Cinema Secrets on natural hair brushes, it will ruin them…it’s only for synthetic. The Beauty Blender soap you can use on all brushes, natural and synthetic, and of course, your sponges.

    I have a question: is a deep clean needed for your brushes, with the alcohol product?

    • @nancy9401
      @nancy9401 3 года назад +1

      I use brush cleansers containing alcohol to quick clean since the alcohol speeds up drying time. I deep cleanse with brush soap and water.

    • @9whilenine
      @9whilenine 3 года назад

      You have to be careful with alcohol if you have natural hair brushes, as it can dry them. If it’s just you using them, then I don’t think it’s necessary, at least not every time you clean your brushes.

    Great info as usual David! What are your thoughts on this "hack" of putting dirty makeup sponges in a lingerie bag and putting in the washing machine?

    • @riannap973
      @riannap973 Год назад

      It's not a hack.The make-up might stain your clothes. Or if you will wash it alone then you are wasting water. Besides the washing machine can't squeeze the make up out of the sponge. It's just better to squeeze out make-up using your hands.
