I absolutely loved this! And Yvonne is a great host as well! She's so funny and makes the conversation so much more comfortable. Loved the women's and men's perspective as well :)
I really thank you for this video. This was very enlightening. TQ was on point for me. It's hard to meet a single woman where I am from or around my surroundings that are saved. The ones that are usually married so its kind of flip flop.Sometimes, I feel like I should compromise to keep it real ,but I have trust in God prepare me while in my singleness. If it comes it comes, if it doesn't it doesn't. The homie Caz was on point, when he said "God first and everything else will follow."
Amazing job again Yvonne!! Her spirit always manages to put everyone at ease and the jokes are too hilariouss Also, Thank You to everyone who contributes to this channel.
TQ I totally agree with your observation of the high number of women in the church vs men. I've been to many different churches in the past 2 years (I've had to do a lot of moving) and it's true no matter the demographic. I also agree with you saying we as women should raise our standards. However, in my honest opinion, it seems the reason some women put up with so much is b/c they just want to be able to say that they have a boyfriend or a husband. (Speaking from personal experience) There are guys who are outside the church who will pursue women and (sometimes) them well. Meanwhile the guys in the church are playing mind games. There are some no good men in church too. Personally I'm weary of guys who are at church all the time (don't judge me).
So grateful for these episodes, these videos are timeless and so insightful ! So many gems and nuggets I’ve been able to take in as I live my best life in my singleness. Thank ya’ll ! 💜
TQ Oh MY GOODNESS I 2nd that heartfelt emotion. That percentage of women in church who are abstinent is 70% and 30% men, and generally the conversation for women towards abstaining is geared towards women and not men. It is so unpopular in church and the world that men should abstain and have real conversations about why we should ALL be waiting to become ONE in Christ.
I love this so much..Watching from all the way in Jamaica and believe me i relate so much with more of my church been women than men...This has given me a lot to think about.
I loved the discussion! Yvonne is such an awesome host as usual. I wish the girls talked and participated a litlle more though. I enjoyed this video regardless!
+Abi omisore One day sis, we'll be able to! Right now we are doing what we can afford, but one day we'll get there! If you like what you're seeing. Consider becoming a patron, if you're not already by checking out patreon.com/p4cm!
Love The Conversation, it gives me a great and new perspective on things. But I noticed it's usually a conversation among singles or single women and married men but not single men with married women. I would love to hear from more married women. Thank you!
+P4CM Ur welcome. And to add to the conversation about why some of us don't date dudes from the church is because we already know his track record and not tryna go through all that.
Another awesome video as always. To answer the question. I do like "Super Christian" men. I can actually relate to them. People look at me as a "Super Christian" but I just believe I try my best to be like Christ which can be an example to others. So if that is looked at in a negative way then I don't mind it because my goal is to please God. I feel like if I had a problem with a "Super Christian" man then I should look at myself and ask a question. Am I where I should be spiritually if I have a problem with him? We pray for someone saved but when God sends him then we complain he is too saved. There is no such thing as too saved because we should all be growing daily. Great question. You guys always make me think. 😁🙌
+Carmen Robertson Glad to know someone agrees with me. If he loves God more than me and has a heart after His then He will know how to love me and constantly be willing to learn how. He can also help me and we can grow closer to God together. That is who we will be with in the end so why not get as close to Him as possible. 😁
This is awesome, and so now I know to just answer the question I haven't found the right man. Then I'll ask the guy the same thing. But I notice when I ask them some responses are I was waiting on you they avoid the question some of them not all. Thanks hope u all have a season 2, God bless!
After listening to 100's (literally) of teachings and talks on singleness and marriage: our standards (even marriage standards) have been molded according to the world's mindset. We are defintely yoked with the unbelievers. The ladies want 666 (six figures, six feet tall, and six pack abs) and the men want a "baddie" with all the trimmins' and the important things (like character) aren't even taken into consideration. It's not about money, makeup, power couples, etc. It's about friendship, honesty, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. I'm a young woman and I'm not religious (I try very hard not to be). I just have a relationship with God and I'm so disappointed with Christian relationships - especially in the black community. What are we leaving to our children? 😞😞😞 We must get the mind of Christ!
Was Jesus a lame? Was Paul wack? Did Moses have swag? Give me the "super saved" Christian as you call it. If him having swag means that he is compromising in his walk, then I don't want it. I find it admirable when someone can weave scripture in and out of the conversation fluidly because the bible touches on all aspects of life- no matter what we are talking about. If you can't quote scripture because it's lame, but you got all this swag and can quote drake lyrics- boy bye! Drake can't lead us on the straight and narrow...
One aspect of this conversation that bothers me is the assumption that men who work blue collar jobs are not worthy of a woman with a degree or two. I have two degrees and my husband is a professional tradesmen with a "community college degree" and he's doing very well. Don't let the lack of a suit and tie blind you to a good man.
I picked up on that too and thought it could be a bit of a cultural undercurrent. I know in many African cultures it's really expected for two spouses to have equal 'social statuses'. Not to say it's wrong and I know my family would be cool with whatever guy I bring home as long as he's got a job and knows Jesus, but for some other families they wouldn't be cool with just anyone. I'm glad you have a relationship where you stand as equals beyond the societal classifications :)
I agree. My husband doesn't have a degree, but he went through a trade program and now works a corporate job. A better way to put it could be that he's willing and able to provide.
I was raised in a family where we would argue ALOT , cursing the whole thing and im really influenced by it and i gave my life to Christ and i don't know what to do , im around my family so much but its so lukewarm and hypocritical my parents live in sin , my siblings as well im around cursing , porn craved dad , and it influences me but what do i do i cant move out or anything , and i dont want to be a mean person because we are supposed to be more like Christ , was just talking to my brother and every time i talk to him its as if he wants to argue , and then its like when i slip up because he says something rude i forget to be slow to speak and then he will be like oo you sinned but he curses but he never picks up its a sin it like they are studying my every move , what do i do ?
Ballout 2K I'm glad you are walking in the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray your strength and as for your family, continue to be a light. You don't necessarily need to tell them they are "wrong" or acting unGodly just pray that your behavior influences their behavior. And love them, love them as they are. If God leads you to speak with them about their lifestyle, great but if not just again be the light.
Ballout 2K Also please be patience with yourself, we all make mistakes. It's okay, yes the world will capitalize on your down fall but continue to walk as best as you can. We seek not to please man but God.
Great conversation but I think it would be best to add variation in terms of the panelists and their relationship status. Instead of only having married men, why not throw a single guy in the mix?
+Nwachucl91 For this particular topic, we wanted to have experienced married men give this advice. We have several episodes with single men, and we have several coming up as well. Thanks so much for watching! We hope you enjoyed it.
I agree about the super Christian thing...there is a shortage of true men of God so hey to have a "super" Christian is better than a lukewarm one...and there are fine/funny guys who REALLY love the Lord.
The only one who can fix a "fixer upper" is JESUS. Leave them by the wayside--seriously. I don't mind a guy who really, really LOVES the Lord. I do mind the ones who are super churchy--the guy who's too saved for himself and comes across as fake.
You don't have to be corny b/c you're a super Christian. LOL There are corny dudes in the secular world. I get it though, she means someone who is over the top. Super Christian guys have "swag."
The host is hilarious lol. I loved this discussion. Pls do more videos, they are so informative.
+misskingstonjamcutie Thanks so much for watching! And yes, Yvonne really is hysterically funny!
Great "Conversation"! A lot of great "walk aways". As a female, it is great to have a Godly male perspective.
Thanks so much for watching!!! Glad to have helped you in some way sis!

+Monique Haley I agree. Sounds like a a man after God's heart. Someone in love with Jesus. Being sold out to Jesus is a mandatory quality.

jenibo Amen to that!
Amen and Amen
Satan “can weave scripture in and out of the conversation fluidly” as well. He’s also an imitator of light lol.

Would liked to have also heard from the women but it was a great convo.. will keep watching
Lol she said "Ninjaaa"!
I'm glad the men had something to say...
+OptimisticPrime1 They definitely did! Thanks for tuning in!
Great discussion, but it would have been helpful if they included men who have actually been single in the century.
"... We came over, but not in they way that you did..." Thingsthatmakeyougohmmm
"Add a b to that"😩😂

👌
No real man or woman of God has time for games but they will work towards becoming one.
And then she clapped her hands. It's that cultural thing!
13% 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Super Christian: what we need to ask is, Is He/her so heavenly minded that their no earthly good! or are we lukewarm Christians?
It's hard connecting with other brothers trying to live right if you're a man
Why is it that women have to wait for men to change and grow? Do men ever wait for women to grow and change?
Natasha Brannum that I have and I know I'm not the only one.
Uhm love the show but why does the host repeatedly use the term"Ninja"🤔??
