    As a young Christian Im going thru things in his life and when i talk to my homies they encourage but they dont really feel me. It is nice to see Christian men having community with one another. There are a million and one avenues for women to be heard and for them to express themselves and build each other up. Where do men go to be uplifted and to be placed in a better mindset. I cannot think of one place

    "you walk in and the choir member BAD".. he killed me on that one. But all the points they made were important..might have to repeat this video a couple of times. i think more men (including myself) should sit and exchange ideas on how to live out Jesus's words. it would be awesome.

    Definitely agree with the point about how a man being able to set and maintain boundaries makes him more attractive. If we see that a man has that much self control, knowing how men are so driven towards sex and knowing how culture pushes them towards it consistently, it speaks strength and wisdom, in that he knows himself and is prudent

      I don't need to set boundaries, as I have no intention of dating. I just want to be by myself and prefer celibacy. I once was overwhelmed with lust, and it almost destroyed me. God broke through, but I need to heal. It will be far easier alone and celibate.

    Thank you all for this message, it is so good to see strong men talking about purity. My son just started college and as a single mom I have been teaching him to value and learn who he is fully first! So he will attract a young lady with the same standards. I told him, "A confident and strong man doesn't need to have sex to prove they are a man!" As the stereo type of mentality has been set by many men for years! I teach him from my mistakes and pray God gives him the strength to stay strong. So far so good!:) Thanks again this was very refreshing to watch.

    i'm only like a few minutes into this video but this is exactly the kind of show I've been after. I watch many of these kind of shows - normally secular or if christian always focused on Christian women and what we have to do. Marriage is about 2 becoming 1 and it cant just be women having these kind of conversations - Christian men need to be teething out the issues of dating sexuality and relationships that so often we put solely on our women.

    I’ve been a Christian since I was 10, and to this day I struggle with the fac tv that I’m attracted to men. I keep standing by The scriptures to the point of weakness. But everyday I have to crucify my desires and live on the straight and narrow. Please keep me in prayer.

      Thank you so so much for sharing and being vulnerable. Firstly I affirm you , your strategy is so good and I'm proud of you for employing the discipline to crucify self centered desires daily.
      Its difficult!! But possible . And you prove that !
      So cheers brother ! God bless you and keep you . His face of grace and love shines on you .
      I pray beautiful prayers over you to continue well .
      Representation is important and your testimony not only helps others but inevitably champions the consistent character of God.
      Grace and more grace to you Sir!
      You have the grace available to you to be your best self (what Christ has declared over you) in even the worst and most difficult situations.

    yes, I believe the man has to set the boundaries, because as Adam warned eve of the tree in the garden, he was the one responsible for making a point to have them both covered. So it was meant for us men to set the boundaries and rules for the one that is set up for our help-mate

    I think that something else that people can do to make a change for themselves is to workout at the gym for an hour or two. It motivates me to keep on getting better, and if anybody is dealing with any kind of sexual temptation or drug addiction; exercising can really make a difference. If you want to listen to some motivational music; I listen to Skillet or this song False Pretense by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

    do you all believe it is possible to be a normal healthy man without being Christian? does morally have to be associated with religion?

    • @mzbuzzy
      @mzbuzzy 9 лет назад

      +Cue the Critic 1st:Question: I think it's based on your definition of "normal". Normal for a believer is someone striving to be Christ like in everyday actions and thoughts. I believe that morally is directly associated with Jesus, the only man who walked the Earth and had no sin. Everyone's Morals in determined by their way of life, which is tied into everyday practice of their religion.

    • @cuethecritic
      @cuethecritic 9 лет назад

      +Brii Wee but by what you are saying, someone with no religion is void of morals, and that is simply untrue.

    • @mzbuzzy
      @mzbuzzy 9 лет назад +1

      +Cue the Critic I"m just saying without religion or simply just a relationship with God, you don't have a firm foundation in what is Right and what is Wrong. In my own life if I based everything off of my own knowledge and idea on what "Right" is then I would be living a life of self indulgence. But, when you have someone like Jesus to compare your life to and emulate, only then will you know what having true Morals means.

    • @cuethecritic
      @cuethecritic 9 лет назад

      +Brii Wee I firmly disagree. Additionally I think comparing yourself to ANYONE is damaging, especially Jesus. If Jesus was perfection, and mankind is flawed innately, it is impossible for man to ever attain "righteousness."

    • @mzbuzzy
      @mzbuzzy 9 лет назад +1

      +Cue the Critic That is true, man is born into this world sinful. But, because I have repented of my sins and have given my life to the Lord, I am born again and a new creation in Christ Jesus.
      Not all comparison is bad and I was never putting myself in the same box as Jesus the son of God. I was merely saying that I am going to live every aspect of my life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.

    I commend these gentlemen for doing a phenomenal job in expressing what true purity looks like on individuals that are striving to live pure, especially in a perverted society. However, I would like to know, "What's your perspective on the act of self-pleasuring (masturbation)?" Do you think that it's permissible, and do you think that one can engage in such and still be considered pure?"

    Serious question here. Does having a wife with whom you can share God-ordained and God-blessed sexual intimacy have no bearing whatsoever on your ability to avoid sinful sexual behavior? I do not mean this critically. It is of course true that married people must guard against sinful lust just like single people must. We do this to honor the Lord through obedience. But rather, as a matter of principle, I am asking if the ability to actually have sex with a loving spouse means nothing in the battle for sexual purity?
    To this point, I find it remarkable how often I hear people talk about victory over lust and the sins of the flesh but who are also married. 4 out of these 5 brothers in Christ, as far as I can tell, are currently married. 3 of them were married at the time this video was made. Yet despite all the godly wisdom and scriptural truth that was shared in this video, no one mentioned marriage as a guard against sinful lust. The singular fact that they are now able to have sex in a blessed and God-ordained situation is never talked about as a pragmatic and central force in their gaining victory over lust and pornography. This seems quite odd to me ... and possibly even disingenuous. It is almost as if a once starving person talks about how God has helped them defeat hunger while never mentioning how they now eat frequently from the banquet table.
    Now of course, it would be foolish and naive to assume that sinfulness and lust disappear the moment a person becomes married despite now having a spouse into whom one can pour their passions and affections. The very point of this video testifies to that truth. I am aware that many married people struggle with pornography, adulterous lust, and other perversions. Too that point, I cannot speak. The idea that at person, once God has given them a spouse with whom sex is now possible, still desires extra-marital sexuality completely confounds me and truly is an example of "having no excuse." And that is not to say that sin should ever be excused or believed to have a justifiable cause; certainly not. The single person who must repetitively squelch the natural yearnings of the body and heart with a practically robotic stolidity is nonetheless called to righteousness just as the married person who has sex several times a week/month is called to righteousness. Both the starving and the well-fed should not steal food. Yet the offense of the latter seems less understandable than that of the former, does it not?
    Despite the fact that Paul, in 1st Corinthians 7, points to marriage as God's practical design for sexual desires and therefore a guard against sinful lust, it is so rarely identified as such. Why is that?

    I'm 41, black, very educated, good job, Christian and love colognes, dogs, cooking and love to relax and watch movies at home when I am not at the office working.
    I would like a Christian man whom can hold intelligent conversations yet not too serious, funny and enjoys long chats. If you fit these and interested let's...

    First of all a married man, shouldn't be asking questions to a single man, after all, he is not in the same position as a single man.

    being strong will does not cause sexual purity only submitting to the Holy spirit through Jesus Christ and being FILLED with His RIGHTEOUSNESS by FAITH.
