I don’t think I could possibly explain how much Ben Howard’s music has affected my life. It’s tied to some of the most prominent moments in my life. I am so grateful for new music.

He's the only reason I picked up a guitar again for a few years, when that 'Further Away' video first came out. He still impresses me now with how he continuously evolves his art. I respect he grows to his own accord whether I like the sound or not.
When Ben played at Ibiza Rocks in 2012 me and my mates were sat out the front waiting to go in, so excited will get to see him on stage when he then arrived and came in the front way to meet fans, he then walked straight up to us sat on our table, was so funny because people walking by had no clue and he just chilled and asked us about our lives and holiday and then after 15 mins was like “right I’ve got to go guys, I’m a bit nervous as I’m not sure it’s the right crowd as this is Ibiza and I really hope they like it!” Skip forward a couple of hours and he had the entire venue singing along in an emotional and epic gig! Absolute diamond!

I had a similar experience at Norwegian Wood in 2015. Met him at the merch stand at a festival and totally freaked out. He was just standing there casually with his sunglasses on and a cup in his hands talking to people ... Got a great selfie and everything. Epic.
Ben Howard sounds like he is the first man ever on earth playing music. That's why he is unique and special.
I've been clean from all opiates for 1 year, by far the longest I have ever been clean in my adult life, after struggling for 10 years with heroin and methadone. I had a psychedelic experience and stopped using over night. But if it wasn't for ben's music I don't know where I'd be. I love you Ben Howard.
Stay strong ! I am also getting over an addiction. It is an everyday struggle but if you surround yourself with the right people it will be okay :)

I was obsessed with Ben Howard during the whole of 2020 covid year. Listening to him during my bike rides to the sea. In my understanding, I have come out a slightly better human out of that period. Thank you Ben. Love ya, man!
I feel that. His music is timeless to me, and gotten me through the past few years 😬 new music comes out but I’m still listening to certain songs on repeat. Ben Howard, Fermat Kennedy, and Blanco White I can listen to all the time.

@@Smerememmata98C I think it's about people who take life too seriously and get caught up and stressed over things that aren't important. Like 'everybody wheeling around just to make the sun come down' is about people rushing around just to get through the day where as Ben just wants to get away to the forest and be at peace. I think that's where psilocybin comes in (the chemical in magic mushrooms) to contrast the stressed people, the boy just wants to relax and be at peace.
@@Smerememmata98C Speaking on "Far Out" Ben said : “The song is essentially a critique of how easily people are drawn to violence and animosity without reason, just to pass the time. And ultimately how there is perhaps a simpler, more fulfilling path. I wanted it to have a very British rhyming slang feel and a Roald Dahl sense of macabre humour. I fear my tinkering with it has made it a little more plain and serious.”
beautifully said. There's always this beautiful tension and strain and exertion in his music, mixed with hopeful attempts at positivity despite it all. Beautifully melancholy.

Was never that drawn to Bens music till I heard this on the radio and had to ask my wife to stop talking. It's incredible. A song for out times. If your hear this but don't get the message that society needs to change your not listening.

Ben will forever be my favourite artist, he is a magician! Ben’s all time favourite artists is John Martyn, I feel like there’s a lot of influence from John Martyn in this version, especially Small Hours and One world by John. This version is beautiful

The lyrics to this are so poigniant to me about the state of the world and using psychedelics to connect with nature to guide me through the challenges we are all facing right now. Ben's new album is so of its time and so important.

Such a strong John Frusciante vibe in this track! I love Ben Howard in all his moods but I feel I haven't ever heard anything this chill/funky and happy from him. This is a sweet track, can't wait to hear what else is coming in Collections from the Whiteout.
