  • Nearly at the target guys so I best track down something big to get me over the line, Might have to drop back into the scrap yard and call the crane guy. Now today was a simple melt from some fans I found on the side of the road as well as some copper sent to me by some awesome subs. Clearing and melting some clutter and a few great additions to the stack. Now sit back relax and I hope you enjoy . Have a great weekend and see you all next Friday 👋😀.
    Now Guys if you Feel like supporting the channel it wont cost you a cent as you can Simply just donate some of your time. By just by allowing the ads to play through this will help out a lot and that’s how I make a bit extra revenue and the good thing is more revenue means more giveaways and more treats for the dogs👊🏻😄. A better way to support the channel is play one of my playlists on your computer before you walk away from it and let it play through that really helps as well but don’t ever feel as though you need to watch the ads if you don’t want to simply skip them and move into the video it’s completely up to you and I understand if you don’t have the time to do so👌🏻😁👍🏻.

    HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
    I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

    Hey there all you beautiful people how are you all on this wet and wild Friday? I know a lot of you guys are going through a heat wave but over here it's been nothing but storms and rain lately. Good news is I found myself a nice big anthill behind the shed but as it's winter I can't risk pouring into it and blowing it apart with a steam explosion so the ant hill casting video will be coming out in the warmer months When everything has dried out. Now I'm slowly creeping towards the target weight so I need to track down something heavy to blast me through it. Anyway enough rambling thank you all for your ongoing support you are all awesome and I'll see you all next Friday, but most importantly have a happy safe weekend 👋🏻😃

    I have recently found that many undersink garbage disposals have varnished aluminum wiring in their motors, rather than more expensive copper wiring, which is part of keeping costs down. It's also the likely reason that operating instructions usually advise restricting operation to less than 15 seconds, because aluminum wire heats up so much due to its lower conductivity.

    • @frankgyondla
      @frankgyondla Год назад +1

      I have also found that ceiling fans motors also have aluminum wiring.

    Not that you need my two-cent's worth but when we run across copper-coated aluminum we set it back for our aluminum-containing bronze. Various sources say it is usually 10-15% copper by weight so we just calculate both metals into the batch and add accordingly. I don't bring they stuff home intentionally but it sneeks in🤨. Thanks for the content! Waiting on that anthill casting!🐜

    A "1000kg" plaque, or ornamental something to start off your new stack, not sure if you plan on selling it all and starting again or your're just going to keep adding, so maybe next time you get to 2000kg, you can do a plaque for that too, nice way of keeping track of just how much you've melted, as well as a nice memento for reaching each goal.
    Thanks for another entertaining and educational video, really makes my Friday's start right.

    Triangle headed screw: it was invented to prevent home tinkering with the device. Quite a common prevention. Well, itwas common. Nowadays you can get a triangle bithead in each bigger bithead collection. At least here, in EU. Chhers mate! Keep up the winter, which looks like British summer! :)

    So funny story, I've been getting into casting in my spare time. I was at a local thrift shop when I found the American version of your scale for sale. $10 I snatched that puppy up so fast it wasn't even funny! Enjoyed the video looking forward to what you do next.

    I can't wait to see what else you can craft with your various mold options. I enjoy the melting process but seeing what you can make is awesome. Even the things that "don't turn out well", I see value in. Keep up the great work!

    Winter for you guys in Australia, but here in KC United States it was 107 degrees and extra because of humidity. That's what our summers are like. Like an oven. We just had a rainy week and one night the wind was blowing real hard like 70-85 mph. I could not see the tree right out side the window because of the Rain and wind. But occasionally we would get a hard blast of wind and the tree looked like it wanted inside. LOL.

    Have a good weekend bubba!

    Also, i am amazed that you hold those traditions in good faith almost in every uploaded video; BigSnackD, the beer and boots kickoff (Should call it BigSockD or something), the polishing and presenting and all.
    Also, yes. Open fanmail. It's a fun part of the videos as well.
