Wow Del that’s a fantastic pickup!
It’s one of those games like Juno first not many people know about but when they do, they absolutely fall in love with it.
It’s got some mad sound effects which really make it such a immersive game. Great addition😎👍
Yup, Juno First would fit nicely next to it:).
@@Omega_Mark I have Juno First running in my Gaplus cabinet with a switcher. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that game. It's a genuine PCB, but not the dedicated arcade game. When I crave playing that I head over ot Jeff's house where I can get my Juno First fix!
@@delsarcade Awesome! Love this game as well. The playability and the sounds are just great. I remember playing it back in the 1980s quite a bit. Used to go to this one place that had it. They had Monaco GP almost next to it and I also remember a Time Pilot being there, among dozens of other games there. I don't remember seeing it anywhere else in the city. Back then many small arcade places were built with old metal shipping containers joined together. Each of these places had some unique games that you couldn't find anywhere else. Good memories and the life was simpler back then:).
@@Omega_Mark Agreed! I have vivid memories playing this game at my local barber shop. I've wanted it even before I played it at John's house (John's Arcade). He just made it more popular to own. LOL.
@@delsarcade Do you know if John ever got to repairing that old Bronco pinball that he had in his garage or did he end up just selling it off? I'm still kinda mad at him for doing gaming podcasts every week, but not doing arcade videos anymore all this time. I guess his female co-host was more interesting than soldering;).
I managed to guess what it was when you pointed out there was a joystick behind the wrapping. Awesome game. I’ve played it in the UK here and it’s great. Crazy controls take a bit to get used to. It’s one of those games where the uniqueness of the controls make the game, a bit like Robotron or Tempest. GG!
Ha ha, yeah I realized that during editing. I could have strung everyone along further if I hadn't said that since it the same can as a QBert. :-)
This is the Saturday arcade content I'm here for!
I never disappoint! Heh.
Congrats on a great score, Del!
You've got some good moves there;).
Awesome Del, what an excellent pickup. Love this game!
Thanks! Can't wait to dive into capping the audio and power supply.
Great pickup, Del!
Love me some Mad Planets! Congrats!
Congrats on the pickup! Awesome game!👏👏👏
Thank you!! 😁
This is a great game. Glad you found it.
Great find for your arcade!!!... I used to LOVE obscure games like this when I would find them at my local aracdes when I was a kid!!!!.... But to be honest, I'm not sure how long this would hold my attention and want me to keep playing and coming back for more to play again?.... Who knows though?... I could get so addicted to the gameplay, thats all I would want to play 24/7!!!!... Great content as always!!!!... Keeping that arcade experience alive, this is awesome!!!!
Thanks for watching!
I had some fun playing John's Mad Planets. Nice pickup!
John's is the first machine that had played since I was a kid. It was surreal.
Awesome find . Enjoy
Thanks 👍
Nice addition. 👍
Thanks! My second Grail. Zoo Keeper being my first!
Nice find!
Yes it was!
I think the scuffs and marks make it look more authentic. Lol. It's not like it's beat up really bad.
Agreed. It's in pretty nice shape as it sits.
Awesome - Congrats!
Thank you! Cheers!
I knew it was a mad planets as soon as I saw the shape!
Grail for me….don’t see it much in the U.K.
I came across it years ago for 2k and thought they were crazy. Prices have gone up and I'm glad I got it when I did. No regrets.
Man, for that being the original caps, that screen is crisp as hell. Stoked you were able to add it to your collection. My machines have side are like that, one of my pins has a bunch of graffiti on the backbox "Amy loves Greg" and such. I love it. :)
We affectionately call that "Arcade Hieroglyphics". :-)
@@delsarcade I like it. :)
I want one of those pinball machines
Del, you see Vintage Arcade Gal's new book? Looks dope!
I did. I need to order one!
Looks great! I wouldn't touch that monitor other than minor adjustments.
Makes me happy to see my old Zoo Keeper in your collection! I miss playing that game sometimes.
I still working on hooking up the original boards! Soon though.
@@delsarcade It works so well with the fpga board that it really isn’t necessary. My Robotron has a working pcb, but I still have that running on my fpga board too.
@@gregg.192I want to compete for the world record eventually, so it need to be legit. :-)
Nice one!
Thanks! I still can't believe I found it after a long search for years.
Great find. I never even heard of that game.
Mad Planets is Awesome! Most games by Gottlieb are. (Q*Bert, Mad Planets, Reactor, Krull).
Nice pick up, and a really cool game too. I'd also just leave the patina alone and keep it as is.
Yeah, I like the history of the game and the fact that's it's a survivor. So I agree. I will probably do minimal touchups.
@@delsarcade Yea, lovely living classic. Love it.
I am Mad on a Planetary scale. Now to go see the answer....
Sweet, great game, congrats 🎉
Thank you! 😁
Robotron 2084!
Just as exciting! But different Manufacturer.
Yes the 2 buttons do not in all though just like Qbert
Sweet!
Oh yeah!
Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love mine
Ha you finaly got one I have had mine since totaly redid it for the last 5 years. Oh btw beat my score level 55. 177000 lol don't shoot the comet if you do it gets faster and comes at you harder
Dang these cabs are getting too rich for my blood.
Agreed! But they are coming down in price slightly. But ONLY slightly.
Hello MAME cabinet! 😁
@@arcademania7544 that’s right!! 😆
Looked like some slight qbert burn in on the monitor
Is it? I will take a closer look once I go through it in depth later.
I noticed that as well
@@delsarcade looks like a cool looking game. I just noticed the qbert pyramid before you fired it up.
Does your has the glass marquee? Mine does but I have a few extra plexi original ones too I had to totally redo my stencils but turned out 100% redo the finger boards and get the Jrok to run save the pcbs I did
Your comment sounds like yoda typed it. “Fixed the plexi glass I have”
@@zachosborne6577 I was using talk to txt lol Obv it didn't work
Really fantastic find! A good clean up and some touch-ups will give it a nice sparkle, it's really in amazing condition for its age. Surprisingly clean on the inside too, can't believe how good the monitor picture still is!
Thanks! Going to do an episode on the CP first in think. I want to put the proper spinner in there.
