I loved that song. Nice to see Mike Douglas after all these years, may he rest in peace.Frankie must have done alot of TV shows back in the day. I used to see Mike Douglas 'father walkng around my neighborhood in Sunrise , Fla when i just recently moved dowm from NYC. He was living in an apt complex across from the townhouse i was renting, waiting for his condo to be ready. This is a nice video.
Wow!!!! Great video with Valli in his prime and the rest of the Seasons Band rockin and rollin. Mr. Ciccone looking good and right along with him Mr. Joe Long, the ever so talented Lee Shapiro and John Paiva. A great number one ☝️ Band of American 🇺🇸 origin that has had a number one ☝️ record before, during and after the Beatles. I don’t believe there is another band who can claim this record.
Can't beat The Spinners. I didn't live during segregation. Was there a lot of this? Black groups and white groups playing their own versions of the same songs? Maybe it's just Frankie doing a great cover.
Lots of people would do their own version of a hit song back then. It had nothing to do with color. The Four Seasons had the original hit, as far as i can remember. Tina Turner made a big comeback doing Al Greens hit "Lets Stay Together". Michael Bolton made a hit with Laura Brannigan's song "How Am I Suppossed To Live Without You". There are some hot songs in the old days, that every popular vocalist would do their own version of. I was a singer, recording artist, and songwriter, so i know alot about these things.
Excellent.
Love seeing these old clips of my cousin Frankie Valli.
Francis Castelluccio Rinaldi.
