I've developed a new routine... 1) watch new Bass Gang video 86 times. 2) scamper over to Mortius' channel to wait for his awesome interview/reaction. I have been so impressed with all of these young men's ability to speak so eloquently and at length about their craft. Not to mention the incredible talent!! Or Bobby's smile... 😏😍🥰
Thanks to both of you for explaining what's going in in the music. Not being musically trained I can only go with the experience of listening to a beautiful song. Listening to you two boning it up gives me a deepened understanding of why I like it.
That's a big part of why I love this channel. I don't always know why I like something so much, but Mortius has a way of putting it into words, as well as pointing out things I never would have noticed otherwise.
I love that you’re doing this with the arrangers, Mortius. It’s so interesting to hear a little about their thinking. Bobby, if you see this I wanted to mention that I’m just so impressed with the way each of you worked with the voices you have-all of you really brought the best out of each member of TBG and your featured guests. This song was so perfect for Malinda, and I heard a side of Tomi’s voice, especially, that I hadn’t heard before-just lovely. Also, your sister did an amazing job with the video.
Thanks so much, Mortius. Can’t wait to see your take on Peter’s arrangement-and I also hope you’ll check out his new solo piece. I’m curious whether you’ll notice the same thing about his voice in that that I noticed (you may be too young).

Always love your reactions, but I’ve also loved seeing you evolve as a reactor! This is such a cool idea to interview the arranger - and also I love how you have started being able to just naturally weave in sound bites like “you don’t just bring in their voice, you bring in their artistry” and “lessons in opposite directions” just make my writer’s heart happy 🤗

And a side note my freshman year of high school I was a very high tenor 1 in our choir and then my sophomore year puberty hit me like a freight train and I became a bass 2 over the summer and completely lost my higher notes and I’ve been trying to gain my high back and also add some lower notes to my arsenal it’s not easy but it’s been worth it

Mortius, you're sort of my guilty pleasure. I grew up with music, so I typically know the terms you're looking for. I don't remember them by the end of the video, but I know them, lol. Your videos are guaranteed fun - and I generally love the music you feature. (I discovered the Bass Gang about a year ago and love seeing them progress!)

Know I am a month late commenting and have watched several times since it first came out but my comment is that I can tell Bobby has been strengthening his upper range, can hear it maturing with each subsequent video he puts out, getting better and better, and I love his voice. Excellent job both of you.

Bobby's voice makes me melt as a hetero male. I did my own video reaction and this video caught me so off guard in the best way possible when I first heard it. Shout out to Nicole as her editing was amazing as was her work on the final song.

I can hit a D0 ingressive and i am learning flageolet for high 5th octave notes and maybe even low 6th octave notes so i do not have a random half octave gap in my range between whistle and falsetto
