That is a total rip off. You will be able to replace it in 1 minute with one hand, once you get the feel of it!
If you can't take out the old one, use a pliers to take it out.

No. You can stop those only by closing the air vents and put them to air recycle
You can buy an air filter with carbon, it helps filtering the odors.

Bine, eu a trebuit sa decupez aeroterma acolo, masina mea nu a venit cu asa ceva din fabrica.......ma gandesc in primavara sa-i igienizez si eu instalatia AC pt prima oara ( cu spray cum ai facut tu )....
Merita. imi pare rau ca nu am facut un filmulet si cu spuma. A fost prima oara si igienizarea a decurs umpic nesigur. insa la primavara/vara cand o sa fac din nou o sa incerc sa filmez atunci. Desi e cam greu. Sare spuma aia in toate partie din furnunul spray-ului
Inca oscilez intre spuma si aerosol....mi-e lene sa curat spuma sau cum se procedeaza.......in plus mai e si vremea de afara care numai buna pt asa ceva nu e....
Nu trebuie sa cureti nimic la spuma. o lasi sa actioneze 10-12 minute dupa care dai drumul la ventilatie la maxim. Se transforma in lichid. trebuie doar sa nu exagerezi cu spuma in fiecare gura de aerisire, fiindca altfel va curge mult lichid pe acolo. O sa incerc sa fac un tutorial, insa intr-adevart, sa fie cald afara. Acum nu merge.

:)) Very true. The french are one of the kind. But if you get used to it, you'll manage to replaec it in 1 minute. You just need to have a pliers near by, in case you don't manage to pull it out with your fingers. And don't use the thick 3 layer filters. You will ripp them apart when you'll try to bend them to make them fit. 2 layer carbon filters should be the most for Clio 3.
Where is the best place to get one from? My local Renault dealer wants to charge £39 to replace it. Thanks

Try to look for Mann Filter CU 2945, or another brand with the same dimensions as that one. 230mmx160mmx30mm
I think it's 58hp because I don't have AC in this car.

Oh man...See if you have any living thing there :). You need to replace it every 10.000km, just like the engine air filter.

Yeah, it's impossible to install it if it's a 3 layer one. For the next change I got a carbon filter one from Mann, with just 2 layers. You need to fold it in the middle and then stick it in. Otherwise it's impossible to fit.
