I always do forget just how much I love the noise of this bike :) the clutch line change is also actually pretty easy to go after so if it's something you need to do don't be afraid to tackle it :)
Good to see and hear the Magna again. Good because it is different. When you go around RUclips you just see same old thing, or rather same new things all the time.
Glad everyone seems to be happy it's back as I honestly love riding the thing when I'm not commuting so it'll be more the video bike probably :) yeah I getcha!
Your videos are very well made. I have never seen clearer explanation anywhere. I don't own a magna but it was still an interesting watch. Looking forward to the srad 750 videos if they will be coming, a bit more relevant to me as I own one too.
Thank you! I'm trying to make them as clear as possible which is why I voice them over now, it's a fairly massive volume of footage and such to get the right clips but honestly that's made it worth it I'm glad it came out clear :) I'm working on a few right now, just taking a while as I'm figuring out some stuff myself as I go :) They're on the way!!
@@TheGorillaBiker paired with a short dash through some awesome twisties, that could be really cool. Is a shame you are not local as could loan you a 360 camera
In case youtube is persknickety, they're actually called a Zerk fitting, so you can say, "crack the Zerk open". :) It's not a Zerk, really just a hydraulic bleed valve with a Zerk fitting. Was fun watching! And good to see the Magna on the road again :)
Haha fair point I probably shouldn't say the other thing 😂 zerk is a more interesting word anyway :P Thanks bud glad you thought so :) Oh I am so so happy to have it back :) plenty of videos coming up :)
That would suck :D I put up Magna noises on tiktok and it got flagged for a violation for something...no idea what! So I'll probably give up on that platform :D
I don't mean to be harsh with this, but the crustiness of your bike reassures me about the slightly less crusty state of my '94 CB400SF. As long as things are structurally sound it's all good!
Haha it's not harsh at all. I've been slowly refurbing this bike, the dirt is only cus it's sat a long while waiting on parts, structurally and mechanically it's sound and is now also pretty clean :) Have a look on my Instagram for up to date photos of it if you like :)
That is one dirty bike. THERE'S A DOG IN THE BACKGROUND! BRAAAAAP I bet I could keep a wheelie up for a while on that bike You're the only person I watch with a Magna so, it's kinda weird seeing knees above the tank :P Ride safe :D
Ahhhh dirty maybe but it works :D I'm not a cleany person really, more a fixey. Haha that's Sam, she used to live with us, I used old footage to show the tank bit cus I forgot to film it. Oh I have no doubt I'd just rebuilt the forks tho after....reasons so I'm happy to not wheelie it :P Haha I'm too big :( You too mr 299 :D
Thanks glad you liked it, I can do you one better, this is the exact part I ordered 😁 www.helperformance.com/honda-vf700c-magna-import-1987-1988-flexible-braided-clutch-line
have you got a dremmel? your engine looks like it could do with a polish to get all that crap off, a dremmel would polish that up fantastic really quick. my ally on my gs450e looked like that and it came up sparkling. this plate was 10x worse oxidized and came up like this imgur.com/8iPMonr you can see how rough it was imgur.com/psWmbkN i did the forks too as they had oxidized like feck too, pretty much all of the ally had oxidized when i got it as it had been sat outside for years. imgur.com/2URKyLV ahh the days of being able to strip and rebuild bikes in my kitchen :D who doesnt love the magna :D
I don't but I want to get one. I reaaaalllllly probably won't polish it tbh :D I'm more a mechanical human person all that stuff just doesn't interest me really, my aim is to eventually paint the engine anyway. Christ tho that came up clean!! :O Nice!! Haha just chance it in the kitchen again and see do you get murdered :) Crazy people :P
@@TheGorillaBiker once you get a dremmel you will probably polish it just out of curiosity, plus if your going to paint it you will have to get a good surface on it first or your paint will get crud under it. i need a new dremmel my knock off aldi/lidl one has pretty much given up the ghost now, but ive had it near 17 years so cant complain. yeah that bike cleaned up so nice, shame i looked like donkey kong riding it though, still it was a fun while i had it, havent got the space in the kitchen here and pretty sure the wife would go mental :D yep deffo crazy people :p
Nah I'll get it sprayd and blasted beforehand....I really really hate cleaning :D Yeah to be fair 17 years is pretty good going even if it was legit :) AH man I know what you mean...I always tell myself I can't see me so I don't care...I feel cool :) Hahaha ah that's her job :P
The GorillaBiker hahahaha. Sorry not sorry. This is the first good look at the Magna. Sounds beefy. Nice one. I enjoy your videos no matter what you ride man.

Your very clever GB, I have though done the clutch cable at work after it snapped 😃👍
Haha I'm framing that 😂😂 No one has ever called me clever before :P clutch cables are a lot less messy than this lovely hydro clutch 😂
Nice job mate. Looks like you will also be busy polishing many bits and bobs on that bike 😁.
Thanks Viper :) Haha I won't be polishing anything :P
LOVE
I'm working on a raw sound video for it :) I'll never get tired of the noise

I know I bloody love the sound of the thing 😁 thanks Martin!
Always more Magna!
It'll hopefully stick around a bit longer this time 😂
Great wee vid, bro. One highly technical question though. Why do you keep tapping the end of the right hand bar???😏
Thanks Phil :) Hahaha the grip is slipping off I need to replace it :P
The GorillaBiker try hairspray as a glue. Might work. Just don’t get caught by she who must be obeyed!!😳😂
Haha I've used that before and it did I have renthal grip glue too plus I'll just safety wire it this time...It's pretty annoying :D
Please tell me you know the length of that cable! Can’t find a source anywhere for it! Awesome video!
