I carried the flag for the Argentine Team at these Olympics...It was very emotional !!
Oh wow that is awesome must be a great memory! What sport did you practice? And did you win a medal?
Deve ter sido uma experiência incrível
These films are great! Glad I found them! Could not believe they even have ones from the 1940's. Sweet.
The Olympic torch looks different than the one I saw online
This is the first Olympics I remember. Made a huge impression on me.
Let's Go Great Britain! I hope my Scouting Reports and Information help you Qualify to be in a Winter Olympic Ice Hockey Tournament for the First Time since 1948!
The coats worn by the Canadian Olympic team are very recognizable. They're genuine coats from the Heritage Collection of the Hudson's Bay Company. The stripe pattern dates back to the companies incorporation on the 2nd of May, 1670. Similar to the ever popular 4-point blanket made of sheep's wool.
4:16, the opening declaration by Charles de Gaulle
3:09 India's first winter Olympian Jeremy bujakowski he was in the 1964 and 68 Olympics
Music of Peggy Fleming: Excerpt from Symphony No. 6 "Pathétique" by Tchaikovsky, Samson et Dalila, Op. 47: Mon c?ur s'ouvre à ta voix (Instrumental) by Saint-Saëns, The Thieving Magpie by Rossini.
I swear I saw Minions marching in the opening ceremonies.
Minions? Where?!

Russia's #17 Valeri Kharalov. Soon to get a whack on the heel by Bobby Clarke.
And someone running up a whole bunch of stairs to light the olympic torch.
bellissimo video...quando lo sport era pulito
What is the name of the song at 34:15?
I see one delegation wearing yellow hats with goggles @ 2:07. spitting image of Minions.
Good old Peggy Fleming, pretending to have a heart x
Oh yes, my youth ! This is why, mainly, I loved and still love mountain, snow, skiing, climbing, ... and evene, unfortunately, I lived in the north flat grey cold and rainy area of France. Thanks !
I would prefer less drama and more highlights with commentary of more events.
no its more cinematograhic and ambitious, less conventional (fo tv)
This is the style of claude lelouch
yup- this is Art Film not TV football- @@ThisisBrownfield
The runner who climbed those stairs to light the torch - THAT took GUTS. And Peggy Fleming wasn't bad, either.
Was watching the Opening Ceremonies live while getting ready for school in Denver. The games marked the debut of East Germany.
3:09 India's first winter Olympian Jeremy bujakowski he was in the 1964 and 68 Olympics
What's the point in not having subtitles here when you have them up on the Olympics website?
To see Peggy Fleming win Gold after the horrific crash that took our premier skaters away from us is quite emotional and doubly victorious.
Yes, the world will never forget.
And her Dad had died too.
En Anglais, s'il vous plait?

Holy crap is Avery Brundage's French (at 4:10) really bad.
It wasn't the only thing he was bad at, but boy, you're right about his French!
On n'y voyait rien.
