Such an iconic game, that helped carry my childhood. Gotta say, this game was ahead of its time, and you literally can't own a PS1 without having this game. Still glad to have my copy, and the iconic console still in use today. Been back to playing Tekken once again, all throughout this week already and the nostalgia is bringing back so many memories. Honestly was a great way to end the month of August, getting back into this. Happy to see people still play it, as well. Great Characters, Audio, Storyline, and graphics for it's time. This is the best fighting game of all time in my opinion. Unbelievable for its time and would still beat the majority of fighting games out there today

To this day I have no idea how that happened and now I have since lost my copy... Which is very saddening...
In my opinion, Tekken 3 was the best. You had new guys excellently motion captured by real martial artist like Hwoarang. This was the last game that didn't start going crazy with juggles, okizeme (where a lot of mid-attacks hit grounded), or crazy wall bullshit, or have every move launch a juggle, example, d/f+2 didn't launch, only on CH. One of the least broken games. very reasonably mellowed game without shitty death juggles, other shit like that, or proliferation of brainless launchers.
Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 4 was also great... I just wish They would include this Tekken Force in the new game as well. We saw it in Tekken 6 I don't know if it's in 7.
I love the intro in it. Only because I heard it LONG before the game came out. It's not mean't to be an intro to a game is the problem. Plus it's cut in really weird places.
Why the heck isn't this on PSN yet? The first 2 are there, but, not this gem. This was the very first PS game I owned. I bought my ps1 late, as I was one of the people that bought a Dreamcast initially.
Yoshimitsu, Law and Jack were my top picks! Yoshimitsu IMO stood out like Blanka from Street Fighter. I always like his green laser sword and that armor he wore. He looked like a cyborg. Law is one of the fastest player's, so he a good player to start out with. Jack on the other hand takes some time getting used to but he is quite formidable once you get the hang of him.
definitely the best of the psone trilogy,graphics and playabilty were much improved,as well being more polished.i missed the crazy characters from tekken 2 though..

Back in the days they knew they had to make games with good content because they were not online and the graphics lacked of realism, that's why usually old games are better in terms of content than recent games. They didn't have patches or updates online so they had to make good quality games from the start to achieve success. What do we see today? Good graphics but no content, they think that putting an online mode is enough for people to forget about the lack of content and depth, and that realism makes a good game. Games were made with heart and passion back in the days, but don't get me wrong there are still recent games which can do the job just fine, just that there are not that many.
yoshimitsu got in tekken 4 an attack which he's turning around and losing energy. why he does? and you could, in tekken 3, put alternative win poses like... eddy: cmon! paul: ura, ura, uraaaaa! law: whoosh, whoosh, hey wa!

Tekken 3 is the game that really ascended the franchise, and brought the series respect. Excellent game.

The first home translation Namco actually had to put some work into given that this was originally made for System 12.
