I like to think when this happens, the dad is like "I don't know who this small me is, but I kinda wanna protect it with my life"
:d ahahah so cute
@Kempo Karate Boy But he doesnt know that
@Eagle Fang Warrior r/woooosh
pretty sure puppys have smell of mom and dad sent still on them at certain age aswell.
@@danmorF ofcourse they can smell it , wdym
I love how the pup is scared, anxious and yet so very curious to meet the bigger version of himself😆
I think that's the super power of puppies. They are scared but they take a step forward out of curiosity. It's always amazing to watch.
Aren’t dogs just the best thing to ever grace this earth? In terms of happiness and relentless love and loyalty. Beautiful creatures.
Yes!

Jr. to Dad: man back up off me😂
Like father, like son. They are a terrific pair.
thx!
I think so as well and that they will get along well
It’s so cute and pretty
i mean, THEY ARE SOO CUTE I WANNA PET THEM
2 year old Junior must be massive by now. Remain blessed ❤
😂😂.
It looks like he's glad to meet his son 👍🐕
:)
E
its not his son, its just a rottweiler from another family
and that he just thought it was- yeah it was probably his son
He's too dumb to recognize his own child
He loves him. See how everywhere he goes he’s trying to keep up with his scent trail? Aww. He don’t want to lose him.
I didn't mean to hit the post yet. We had a Rottweiler named Princess who passed away after 14 years and she was a wonderful wonderful dog.
😭😭😭😭 I lost my staffi 2 month ago😭😭. Take care ✌️
RIP Sweet Angel Doggo
I'm sorry for your loss.
My fish died 1 year ago his name was goldfish
@@mariopetty8140 I'm sorry for your loss
I believe that unlike the father, only the mom recognises her puppies. I'm sure the mom may recognise even after a certain time. But Fluffy is only respecting the baby. He knows it's a kind of toy to him, fragile, delicate and playful. Amazing contact! Love Rotts! Bravo!
I definitely think he knows.
Disagree. They have a scent that both parents can pick up on.
Wrong.
Dogs definitely knows their sons. But unlike wolfs They don't have parental instincts (for some reason, there's no real explanations) they do play and are more gentle with offsprings of their own. But don't take care since dogs usually hunt alone.
Animals like lionskill cub’s that not theirs. They know
I think he'd be able to sense that their related somehow. A dog's sense of smell is about 400 times more acute then ours. A dog just needs to smell your shoes, and they can tell if you've been to a familiar place or not. I think this is why he's so relaxed around the puppy.
Actually a dog’s sense of smell is anything from 10,000 to 100,000 times more acute. Unimaginable what they can pick up. It must be like seeing in four dimensions.
@@lairddougal3833 yes you're right, incredibly impressive sense of smell.
This is just some quick research I did so Dog's have around 300 million olfactory sensors in their nose humans only have around 6 million which is about 50× more than ours but dogs have a larger family/variety of different olfactory sensors which is very incredible but smell also depends on the breed of dog.
It's 14x on average idk where y'all are getting your information 😂
Duh
I think fluffy know knows the cause of the way he is following him around and kind of like protecting him.
He should treat his son to McDonald's 🤣🤣🤣
It's the smile for me, he knows.
He's so happy I think he knows ❤
I have a feeling that a parent dog can always smell a part of them in their offsprings and siblings. Since their sense of smell is very articulate.
Gotta love that precious growl at 0:25 from the baby.
Right?
It was so scary! LOL TOO PRECIOUS!!💕
I know right?
That is a grown man
Dad: “damn! They got me on a leash! Now I’ll never escape paying child support!”
:D LMFAO
Good one😂😂😂😂 @BMan
Theres No Store far enough for this Rotty 😂😂😂
LoL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He tried to get the milk😂it didn't go too well
I think Fluffy recognizes the pup's scent, from regularly smelling it on 'you' (before this meeting); so he recognizes the pup as 'part of the pack' (who he's just now meeting) - but not likely recognizing him as 'his son'.
Watching this now many months later and how everything has changed! Now the puppy is big and a new baby is at home!
Hello Cathy 👋 How’re you doing today ?
Rottweiler pups are the most adorable living being on earth.❤️
I know right there so cute!
I agree ❤️
They are cute but not the cutest living being on earth only to u and other people who think that they are no offense
@@Toca_sunshine13 “no offense”? Huh? I don’t get it.
Not if you have one ready to tear you to shreds.
The first picture when this video comes up, they're staring at each other and the puppy's eyes are wide open-that's SO cute. Would make a great portrait to hang up for posterity.
yes it would!
He was being super gentle with him and was standing over him a protective manner so i think he definitely knows they are related.
😂puppy wants to play and dad is like "wait a minute, let me see if you really mine" Maury says "You are the father"
I love how you guys are teaching us how to safely and properly introduce and integrate puppies into the adult dog family; I think that is very important and helpful to many, as I believe a lot can go wrong without delicate and well managed care of dogs. Thank you, excellent job guys.
I wanted him to let the big dog off the leash to interact more with the puppy ...🥲
Junior is so sweet and sassy. Had to laugh at him jumping all the time, made me think of a rabbit crossed with a rotty!! The older three dogs were so good with him.
very cute, I also have an amstaff who just turned 2 years old, he stayed 1 in a shelter when he arrived home by pure coincidence we met his mother during a walk, they recognized it enormously and made it possible to exchange with the person to find out more and to see photos of his birth. Since then he has seen him frequently and his still so happy to see him
He is catching on to his scent yes he knows thats his baby. I think puppy knows something too🥰
The puppy knows that Fluffy is his dad and he and the puppy want the leash off so they can play. Their body language tells it but being obedient to the leash holder is priority too. Notice how nothing bad happened when the leash wasn’t in your hand for the quick seconds it was on the sidewalk.
Yeah he's not allowing the adult much free expression with the leash. Maybe introduce them in a closed in fence
@@thetraveler9 people would try to sue and be a Karen seeing a grown rottweiler or pitt bull not on a Lish lot of people believe all rottweiler and pitt bulls are aggressive and violent dogs which isn't true but you know people just don't feel safe
@@Lubuisthegoat2024 I walk past a Rottweiler everyday without a leash it just sits there and stares me down with a low growl it could easily hop the fence
clearly they dont trust their rot to attack a random by passer on the sidewalk or to get run over by a car…
who doesn't love a puppy - so cute, made my day thanks guys
Dad and Junior are getting along fine, once Dad got his smell on Junior that was the bonding. Even if they were not related that would have been the bonding time.
By sniffing the booty?? 🫣
love how the puppy just does "the big stepppy" to walk a lot, so dang cuuuuute
Awwww what a Precious greeting Junior meeting his dad for the first time definitely a memorable moment 🤗
Yes it was!
Fluffy says "don't you roll your eyes at me, boy.." LOL. Great to see these two getting acquainted.
Hahahah right 😂
@@TheRottyRanch 0u8.
Nothing like a canine dad and son reunion.
2:08 the wiggle of daddy's tail says it all. He's happy to see his pup, and his boy responds by playful acting tough. Rottweilers are such beautiful dogs ❤
Looks like Junior almost had an instant connection to grandma compared to his dad Fluffy. Noticed hall his dad kept licking him a few times, not sure if that was paternal instincts, but he seemed a lot more energetic and interested in checking Junior out. Not sure if that was his personality or if he sensed Junior was his pup. But, It seemed like Junior gravitated more towards his grandma, she was more laid-back, maybe because she’s an older mature female, and she sort of had some maternal instincts towards Junior. Seems like all of the older dogs accepted him👌🏼Great Rottweiler pack!
I think Fluffy realized that Junior was his son and that's why he slobbered all over him so the other dogs would know he's family. I love how sweet the grandma was to the pup. Junior was looking for a nip to suckle. 😁🥰
So sweet! Thanks for sharing this awesome moment! 🐾❤️🐾
Jako ste brizan, odgovovaran vlasnik rota. Svaka vam cast👏 Vidi se da volite zivotinje i da ulazete u njih i njihovao vaspitanje❤️
I think animals know who their “children” are. I think it’s just like an instinct that is in them. They are all beautiful dogs but that pup is adorable. I’m so glad they you gave gorgeous Lexi Lou a chance of a wonderful life. My heart broke when I saw the conditions she came from. You are a marvellous couple. 🙏🏻❤️ good luck with everything. Stay safe from the U.K. 🇬🇧 🙏🏻🙏🏻
No all animals do not know. And these interactions can be extremely dangerous if they do not. Especially for territorial ones. Some animals, like cats, only recognize by scent.
@@phillygdev .out animals recognize by scent definitely not looks
Does he somehow know this baby smells like him but may not know why?
You "think" they do? How? Why? Dad dog acted like any dog would when it meets any other new dog
Honestly dogs do not have a family structure. When puppies are born the mother died the job in caring for them and then when they can do things on their own they becoming any other dog out there. Unlike wolves who actually have a family structure and only one breed of wolf breeds for life. So unlike the wolf the dog is a less intelligent version.
Their noses are something special. I think Fluffy definitely knows it's his son. I had a similar experience with my Rottie and his father. The difference was that mine was a lot older (about a year old,) and his father did NOT like male dogs. His dad sniffed him up and down, then commenced to rolling around on the floor with him. My boy slept with his head on his dad's butt the whole 2 weeks he was at our house LOL
My male dog recognized his puppies as random dog's and did not like them getting close to him
They can smell DNA, its pretty crazy. Simplified, I know but that's pretty much what happens
There’s no evidence that shows male dogs recognize their puppies
@@Tylerrrrrb There is no evidence that shows male dogs do NOT recognize their puppies. I didn't claim that there was evidence that they did. I stated what happened with MY dog
Good night, MAN. You put such a big smile on my face? Thank you so much. I had a Rottie and she has moved on to much better pastures. Yet my love for these beautiful creachers has never stopped. I'm musician, and at the moment my experience doesn't allow me to get another one. Thanks so much for helping me reminisce all the happiness that I had with my Miña. Stay Blessed.
What an adorable puppy, blessings.

You guys are awesome.
😂😂😂😂😂 I laughed way too hard reading this comment
He absolutely knew he was his son, guarding over him.
Mhmm Ikr!
right?
Male dogs don't actually recognize their own puppies. They just see them as immature pack members and treat them differently.
Oh my I love that father and son so beautiful and sweet
The fact that Fluffy put slobber on Junior😂❤
Even Rottweiler puppies are fierce! Love it! Not every pup gets to meet its daddo!
I miss all my Rotties had them since 82 when there were only a few arround here, my last one just passed at 17. Lots of love, excersize and best raw food and vitamins you can afford they can be arround for a long time inspite there size. Best dogs God ever created for us.

Rottweilers are the best looking breed in dogs in my opinion !
when I got my staffs, I got 'him' first then went back got the 'sister' about 4 weeks later, it took about 20secs but you could see the penny drp with him and as soon as he smelt her and realised it was his sister you could see him react and so happy. Now I have 2 Rotties no blood relatives but as soon as my boy realised he has a new 'sister' he just wants to play
Absolutely knows it's his, half way through very clearly shows it.
The fact they are both quite calm around each other, there is definitely some type of recognition that they belong to the same pack, maybe not sure but with the older rotty smelling the younger one, there is some sort of ha! decoding going on in the older ones brain....scent to dogs is a whole other knowledge bank when it comes to pack recognition!
Awe, I could watch jr all day long! 😊
I miss my son being this lil. He's almost ten now 😭

Im so happy to see this because it reminds me of my dog that died 4 years ago. I really miss her, i still have her with me and in my heart and we are getting a new Rottweiler today
Congrats guys!
I've always wondered of the dogs remember the siblings and parents long after birth? I have a opinion as I observe but don't know of it's 100% true.
And the answer is no!!
I asked the breeder I bought my dog from that question and she said yes they remember each other by smell.
They can tell by sniffing their butts thats how dogs recognize/greet eachother.
No, Junior definitely doesn't know he's his Dad. Junior seems scared and fluffy is on edge. Need more time together.
This was literally the day we brought them home.
I think fluffy knows :)
They usually smell paternity on them from day one
