Good redesign, but what I don't agree with:
The original font wasn't bad; it just needed a little spacing adjustment rather than being replaced with something random from Figma.
I would keep one element, the "http arrow," and make a little adjustment to it, incorporating it as part of a logo. The bookmarks element should be deleted or moved to another part, and the head/boy element should also be removed. At the same time, I would ask about the brand's purpose or if it's just a matter of "I like this element."
With this approach, you keep a little of the original designer's thoughts and soul.
The final result is better, but what a big no-no is the brand's soul being missing. I prefer a little imperfection, such as a speculative font and graphic elements, rather than a correct but "generic" or "soulless" website.

It’s crazy how people are so hateful of this content when they can’t even make one on their own! Love this video man, keep it going. It has many fundamental aspects of the design to learn without spending extra time. I’m grateful. Thank you!

It looks easier when you're just watching, gets a lot harder when you actually have to do it. Especially on cam and with little time.
For those purposes it was pretty good, a lot more can be done in the direction ran started.

Nice! Its a nice sevice to whoever is owning the portfolio as well..not just this one, but in every one of these videos. Also..its not like they have to do it like this, its just an idea for how it could be changed. I do have to point out tho, replacing a free font with a $200 font is not fair. I think in these cases you should stick with free fonts like Google that is accessible by everyone.

Hello, I always find myself completely drawn into your high-quality content. Thank you, and I always support you! 😊
I have a few questions, but it seems there’s a limit to what I can find through searches, so I’m posting them here. (Most of the questions are related to Framer.)
I am creating a knowledge-based online platform and building a website for it.
    1. If I use the HTML copy function to gather ideas from other websites and then publish them on my own site, will there be copyright issues?
    2. Are websites created with Framer secure from hacking?
    3. Can I embed videos on a Framer-based website, similar to hosting a live class?
    4. Is it possible to set up separate user and admin pages in Framer?
    5. Can I create pages in Framer that are accessible only to members who meet certain conditions?

You know, me as a FRONT END developer is a real fight to websites looks good. It’s not my job, if I had a designer I could focus 100% on really coding than trying to make my portfolio beautiful to recruiters etc.

    WEBSITES
    IN A WEEK
Say it out loud, it just reads better.

Congratulations, you were successfully able to suck out all the character and uniqueness from the website and turned it into a generic page. All you had to do to make it better was replace Magenta!

Haha! True, i agree with some of the changes, but getting rid of the style was a bad idea, parts i agree with is properly arranging the recent work.

The redesign looks bland and very much "been there done that". The site needed some help but you killed its fun factor in stead of improve it, imo.

  • @DanGus-yh1bj

Same feedback as every ui project on here… no context. How can you make the site “better” when you haven’t even asked what better means for the business. Maybe their clients are flakey or too small scope, then change the framing from speed to quality. Do they want to drive more in bound traffic, tons you could do outside the site design.
These videos make designers seem dumb, when in fact most of us have to account for more business and product metrics than other roles and convince people that our work has ROI. It’s sad to see this channel turn into just generic feedback that feeds into the algorithm

This was submitted TO them to do EXACTLY what they did. This is all about getting the perspective of a designer/agency that is out there killing it right now. Your comment feels more like design virtue signaling than the actual content itself which was asked for by the designer of the original site. And all the feedback was spot-on.

    • @DanGus-yh1bj
      @DanGus-yh1bj 24 дня назад +1

@ I watched the entire video, checked the description. Non of my feedback is addressed. Submitted to “make it better” is all I found. That’s not enough, if me calling that out is virtue signaling then I’m all good with that label. The content creator is making money off this content, while the people watching the content to become better designer are being mislead with generalized design statement.
