Northern Wisconsin here. Right now it's taking me about 15-20 minutes to do a fresh set. Dealing with winter conditions with a 8-10 inch frost line. Tomorrow it will be a balmy 17*F. Just got permission to set up on a fresh 500 acres. Hoping to get in 10 to 12 sets in for coyotes.
Rinse, wash, repeat... If it ain't broke, don't fix it... Or whatever other phrase you wanna use to let people know they don't need to get fancy, don't gotta throw in 5 different kinds of sets. Just set what you're comfortable with and roll with the catches. Great video bud.
You keep pointing out, with disdain for prepped traps it seems, that you can catch a coyote in an untreated tap, a dirty trap, etc. And I agree- I've caught coyotes in such plenty of times, and have caught them in #1 gopher traps and uncovered water traps. And fresh rust deters coyotes- even O'G states so. Isn't the point to catch the highest % of coyotes that are aware of the set, and to reduce the number that avoid the set? If so- then why its not unheard of to use a dirty trap, etc at a fresh set- for optimum success it shouldn't be the norm
I prefer clean traps set with gloves here in PA, I want them to sniff my attractant not hang up with their nose over my trap. But, they don't trip over each other to get caught here, just not as many here
Love the videos I’m ready for day six also love the keep it simple approach and the focus on location just like fishing you can’t catch what isn’t there. These critters smell humans every day almost to the point it’s normal. There’s so many coyotes I think they are quick to investigate a hole and grab it before the next one. Three dogs in my house I can get em to eat a carrot easily just trying to get it before the next one
Good deal man!.. I can see that you guys are having alot of fun. Enjoy you bring me along with the video. Ready for the next one 👍

Minnesota here, sets are a lot slower going these days. that frozen ground takes a lot of chipping away

What is the milwaukee drill ans auger size you use?
He uses a harbor freight drill
@@66bigbudsyou best go back and rewatch this video or learn how to read . It clearly says Milwaukee on the side of the drill .
@heathboeddeker5401 he told us he uses a harbor freight just a few videos ago. Maybe it puked. But don't get rude.
Well it isn’t a bad question because it appears to be an sds drive and not a standard drill bit.
Also he is using a larger drill in this video than he has in past videos.
I downloaded the on x app twice but cant figure out how to use it. I couldnt even find the public land with it.
So the secret is pizza hands?
So i know rule 1 is set on sign. How many of your sets are just "should be" good spots?
Where do you buy that stake driver?
What’s your opinion on catch pole vs dealing with blood?
why no of sets on your traps
Will the step down set work in TN
It will work any place a coyote lives. In other words, 99.9% the entire mainland of the North American continent.
@@denver_suvvcrews8388 ok thanks
No way this old trapper could keep up with yall
