The reason china will have upper hand is because of the following reasons:
1. War will be fought in the home ground (Asia).
2. Most of the parts of the American top end war airplanes and Helis are made in China although they are called American products. Just like over 90% of apple and windows products are made in China although they are American products. Lockheed Martin (major supplier and builder for USA air fighters has a large factory in China).
4. 100% of Chinese fighters, helis, warships, nuclear arms, ammunitions are all made in China. Nil import from USA or elsewhere. So China can replace its equipments as quick as they can. China is light year ahead of USA in drone technology (most of the Americans and the world use Chinese DJI drones) and AI.
5. China has relatively good relations with its neighbours except few like India (British created problem with annexation of Arunachal Pradesh which was called northeast frontier before and is technically part of southern Tibet and akshai chin), Japan (China fought against it in the Second World War and was victorious which is why China has permanent UN security seat. All the major victorious countries in the Second World War gained permanent seats at security council), Philippines (it was an American colony before the independence), Taiwan (both Taiwan and mainland China claims each of themselves as the real China. Technically they both are Han Chinese and speak mandarin. Taiwan was established by the runaway govt from Beijing in 1950. A lot of my Indian friends may not know but Taiwan claims much bigger area in Arunachal pradesh and ladakh compared to what the mainland China claims now). China has good relations with Russia, all the stans (Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, afganistan, Pakistan kazikistan , Iran etc), Thailand, Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Mongolia, almost all the pacific island countries (and China provides the security guarantee to some of them) etc.
The scenario will be different if the china America war will be fought in American soil, in which case the Americans will clearly have upper hand. In such a scenario, the Americans will crush and annihilate the Chinese within 10days. China has enough power to fight a war and win a war on its own soil but hasn’t got enough power to fight any war away from its own soil. America also has very good relations with its neighbours which are mainly Canada and Mexico. Only few countries in Latin America which was anti Americans like Cuba, Venezuela etc are far from its borders.
