I think the definitive 80's horror moment is when Ash creates his chainsaw arm and shotgun. There is no better line in horror history in my opinion than "Groovy"
Everyone: *Writes down there favorite moments*
Me: Just scrolling to see other people's favorites.
One of my favorite moments in horror is in the film The Thing when Norris has a Heart Attack and The Thing eats Coppers arms
That whole movie is 🔥🔥🔥
Michael Myers I'm a big fan dont kill me with your big ass knife please😧
Thank you for doing this ranking. I enjoy these kind of videos. I would like to see you do more of these.
I’ve always been a defender of Rob Zombies Halloween 2, I’m always a bit sad to see people attack it, but still, I really enjoyed the video
The Zombie movies are polarizing.
I'm not a fan of them but understand why some people do.
Halloween, when Jamie thinks it's safe and in the background you see micheal slowly sit up and turn and look at his prey and starts walking towards jamie.
Another is pinHead saying "we have such sights to show you"...
Another is Ripley in the bio-mechanical suite saying to the queen alien "get away from her you bitch!" Love the channel man✌❤😁
Freddy's bed kill is an all time classic moment.
Yes where he killed TINA!
@You Tube Yes I think you're right. Such a gerat franchise with amazing moments.
I didn't watch this yet but I bet Riley ranks the original Halloween #1 🤔
Are you a wizard
I am
Damn..you ranked 31 films in like 18minutes. Took me 27 just to rank child’s play films..lmao I need to learn from you..lol great content as always
The ending to Sleepaway Camp is the first thing that comes to mind when I think about the top 40
One of my favorite moments in horror history of 80s was childs play when it first shows chucky moving and talking after he bit her hand im a huge childs play fan. I also love the very end of the original fright night where the camera pans to the neighbors window and it shows the red eyes that was scary
Prob my favorite moment, is Jason with a sleeping bag kill in part 7, that amazing Shot of Jason in part 8 when he’s in manhattan New York
My favorite 80’s slasher moment was totally when Jason threw the throwing knife at the cop in Jason Lives he just really went full beast mode
Totally with you on Halloween 3. Love it.
One of my favs was when chucky first revealed himself by the fireplace!
Iconic moment ....Halloween when he stabs the guy an pins him to the wall.. then stares at him an tilts his head.... as if he is admiring his work!! Iconic
The ending of sleepaway camp. Need I say more lol
The twin girls in the shining as well as the opening with that legit terrifying theme song
My fav 80s horror moment has to be either Freddy saying this is god, or the opening credits of Friday part 8. The song mixed with the super stereotypically dirty New York shots are perfection.
I’ll just do my top 10:
10. Wes Craven’s New Nightmare
9. Freddy’s Revenge
8. Halloween 4
7. F13 Part 2
6. Dream Warriors
5. Halloween 2
4. Halloween 3
3. Halloween
2. Nightmare on Elm Street
1. Jason Lives
It’s Complicated finally someone that puts Jason lives above final chapter
TheSpeedracer12
I don’t see how people put final chapter over Jason Lives. Jason Lives is easily the best of the franchise. Part 4, in my opinion, is super overrated. This is the first time I’ve heard Riley put part 4 over part 6. He usually says Jason Lives is better, but it’s a question that has a different answer every day. That 100% understandable too, because I’m like that with other movies as well. It’s all subjective though. Jason Lives is just the best in my opinion.👍
It’s Complicated agreed. But how can you put H3 above all the other sequels. That’s insane. And freddys revenge is by far the worst in the series.
TheSpeedracer12
Looking back at it, I’d take WCNN off and put H18. But H3 is such a good horror film. I probably watch that one the most out of the entire franchise. Freddy’s Revenge to me is super underrated. I’d say it’s better than Dream Master, Dream child, Freddy’s Nightmare, WCNN, and the remake. I have it ranked 3rd, but again, it’s all subjective.
Could've waited 10 days and released it on the 31st. Oh well. I guess the "other guys" can keep doing that
I dunno man, "31 on 21" has a nice ring to it.
For favorite 80s horror moment, I’ve got to go with the opening to Friday the 13th Part 6. It’s a beautiful blend of the classic Universal Horror with the then-modern Slashers and kicks off arguably the best movie in the F13 series.
No it wasn't the first one was.

Great list!
I'd knock H20 off the top ten though, and would bump up Friday 7 and Halloween 6 by one or two spots maybe. I think I'd even bump Friday 3 and New Nightmare up slightly, but it's good that you have New Nightmare in the top ten.
Chris Durand actually thoroughly hated the CGI. Met him at the walker stalker convention in ATL. Got to hang with him for a good while.
My favorite moment was David's 1st transformation in American Werewolf in London. My Grandma took me to see it at the drive in.
Top 3 horror moments! 1. Jason smashes through the window in Friday The 13th Part 2 and attacks Ginny! 2. Halloween 2 Dr. Loomis says it's time Michael and ignites the gas! 3. Halloween 2 hospital chase sequence is intense and terrifying and I would say the best chase sequence!
Jason in Friday part 6 just the whole RV Scene is so cool
My favorite 80’s horror movie moment? Simple.
“I thought you’d feel that way, Garry. You were the only one that could’ve got to that blood. We’ll do you last.”

Michael Myers nah😂
Michael Myers keep telling yourself that yet the only good kill in Halloween is the door stab😂
Michael Myers yet micheals best kill is a shotgun stab😂
Michael Myers what? That’s why jason has way more kills and killed freddy Krueger? Kid be quiet and accept Jason is better by miles. Jason has a way better story as well
Michael Myers Jason was deformed and got pushed into a lake made fun of. Watched his moms head get chopped off and KEPT IT as a shrine! Micheal got mad cause he couldn’t get candy😐
Wow, I really thought that you were going to say that Halloween 3 was last!
I loved "The Raft" when randy was getting randy on the chick and she turns over with the slick on her face!
In think the 4 best moments from Texas Friday Halloween elm street are
1. Freddy bed kill from the first elm street movie where the blood comes out of the bed
2. Michael killing Jamie
3. F13 part 1 final jumpscare
4. Leatherface dancing on the road with his chainsaw
Halloween II is a very good sequel. When I’m in the mood for a double feature, it’s Halloween 1 & 2. If I wanna watch just a sequel on its own, I pop in Halloween 2018 (or Season of the Witch). Halloween II (1981) works best as an extension of the first imo
I'd love to see an update with the last two Halloween movies.
1. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

Michael Myers hell nah f13 2 and final chapters KILLS Halloween 2😂brother and sister get outta here
Michael Myers I’ll have to disagree f13 has so many more better movies and better characters. Tommy is better than Laurie by miles😂 just accept it. Micheal tries to kill his sister woo hoo takes the whole movie. Plus the gore and kills are MILES I mean MILES ahead of Halloween. The liquid nitrogen kill will always be the best. Just accept it kid

Halloween 3 is such an underrated movie. When I first watched it, I only got half way, because I was really bored without Micheal. Now that I've watched it about 3 times, it's so enjoyable.
Also, unpopular opinion, I liked the Nightmare on Elm Street Remake, sorry guys.
Yes Nightmare 2010 is boss

Friday the 13th Part V
Halloween 1978 hands down number 1 without question. Nightmare one destroys Dream Warriors but bearing in mind Dream Warriors is by far the second greatest Elm Street film and a huge part of my childhood and love for Freddy. I was 11 when Nightmare 3 came out and it made me really love Freddy but without a doubt Freddy was far scarier in the first film. I get it though what a great film. I put Nightmare 1 up too at second because imho it’s the best of all of the films in terms of a pure terrifying horror film and Wes Craven’s finest of his amazing library of classics. To me they are the best two complete fantastic iconic horror films. I’d put Friday 6 JUST and I mean JUST ahead of part 4, after that I’d take Halloween 2018 by a hair over H2 . New Nightmare is a great film too and one of the strongest of the franchise. I get why you’d like H20 being a 90’s kid, me being an 80’s kid cemented these films in my heart back then lol great top handful I totally agree man. Funny I think the best made horror films of these three franchises are for sure 78 Halloween and 84 Nightmare but strangely enough I think Friday is my fav franchise because they have prob the most films I enjoy overall but none are made like those two but even Jason Lives or The Final Chapter that dread and suspense are unmatched in H1 and Nightmare 1. Truly chilling! I love em all though! Great vid buddy 👍 🎃🔪

All of the movies scared the shit out of me my first scary movie that scared me was Poltergist Then all of the ones after
I love all these movies I can’t choose which one is the worst
I love Rob Zombies Halloween 2. It scares me so much. I also love the atmosphere. One cut of the movie has Laurie being super annoying, the other cut is better. Michael just scares me so much. He's br00tal
my favorite horror movie moments are

Halloween 2 original dr loomis sets Michael and himself on fire

Jason X looks like they skipped 5-9 and made his look come after 4 sort of
One of my favorite 80s horror moments is the closing sequence of Halloween III: Season of the Witch. When Atkins is pleading for the tv station to stop the broadcast, then the jump cut back and forth between the screen to his face, to the last iconic “Stop iiiiiiiiit!!!!” directly to the camera in the final shot. That’s up there with my favorite movie endings of all time, period.
Cmon man final chapter is so much better than Halloween 2😤
Ehh, depends how you look at it.
Halloween 5 what also makes it bad is the man in the trench coat. What was his deal. He was never explained.

@Michael Myers I liked the buildup in the original Friday the 13th, the characters, and the suspense and surprise ending with the mom a lot, and the creepy thing she does where the young Jason talks through her. And the original Halloween is just barely underneath that for me.
@Michael Myers I didn't really like the vibes I was getting off Rob Zombie's Halloween. It kinda ruined it for me. Jason Goes to Hell isn't that bad. I like how you don't see a lot of Jason with the hockey mask but when you do it's his reflection. There was no Jason with a hockey mask at all in the first 2 movies, and it balances it out while still having a cool take of a story
Tina's death in the original nightmare on elm Street (1984)

Hi
Well ive always found freddy kruger more comedic so its between micheal and jason
You were way to generous towards Freddy VS Jason!! And best scene in 80s horror is any scene in Blood Diner!!
I’m glad someone said this. Figured most would be mad it was as low as I put it. I have a soft spot for it but it’s definitely weaker.
My opinion: Human Jason would die yo Human Myers- Zombie Jason would kill Zombie Michael.
Where’s nick?
Kinda figured half of his top 10 would be Halloween movies. As a Friday the 13th purist, this list is blasphemous to me lol
I have an equal amount of Halloween movies in the bottom ten as well though... can’t say the same for Friday. Friday, of these three franchises, is the best as a whole.
Freddys Dead is Dead last for me. 🤢🤮
You are a cutie patootie. I say HOT DAMN !!!
Tbe worst ones are rob zombie Halloween movies, nightmare remake and friday the 13th remake
Friday the 13th part 1 not in the top 5 and Halloween season 3 is? Obviously it’s personal opinion and no other input. I love your videos but I just can’t get on board with this one!
To be fair, Halloween 3 was my number 7. And yeah, I definitely put it head of F13 part 3. Not by much tho.
Slash 'N Cast Nothing against you, like I said I both like and enjoy your videos! You obviously have your biases just as we all do, but to not rank the first movies of all 3 series at least in the top 10 is a disservice to all slasher movies. These are the 3 biggest and baddest, but without those movies, you don’t get the sequels. But while we’re talking about the big 3 slashers, part 3 really? You may like it, but it has absolutely nothing to do with Michael Myers!
John S The OG Friday isn’t even close to the original Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street. A lot of slasher movies outshine the OG Friday.
For Halloween 3, you’re making the exact point that I brought up in the video, and I find to be an extremely weak argument. “Michaels not in it so it sucks”. That’s the only argument I ever hear, when in reality it’s one of the most original and creative films out of all of these films. Quite frankly, the Halloween franchise would most likely be much more successful critically had it continue the anthology series they were starting with Season of the Witch. But unfortunately, the cries for Michael were too loud. Now, some of the worst sequels in horror history have come as a result. Rip.
Also, the whole “sequels don’t exist without the original” is a very weak way to rank films. Yes, the Og spawned a great franchise, but that doesn’t mean it’s a good film. Cut out Jason jumping out of the water at the end, Friday the 13th would have died after the original. That’s the sad truth.
Slash 'N Cast the nightmare on elm street is my favorite series, and I love several of the Halloween’s...but the first Friday still deserves to be in the top 10 cause no one who saw it in the theaters saw that ending coming. And while Jason plays a minor role, at least he’s in the movie which is more than can be said for Halloween 3.
John S 10 seconds of a film doesn’t outshine the entirety of the ones I put ahead of it. I’m judging these based on the quality of the film, not who’s in it or the fanboy side of judging. Halloween 3 is definitely superior in that regard.
Love your content, but there is NO way in hell H2 Zombie is the worst movie in the 3 big franchises. Come on now.
And the overrating of Ft13th Pt 5 is something else! The best movie in the franchise if not for the Roy twist? Brother.....
Bottom 10 in no particular order:
Halloween 5 - Senseless, terribly written, cheap looking
Resurrection - Utter cashgrab joke
Jason Goes to Hell - Sci Fi original level flick, shoehorned Jason involvement, b movie in a bad way
Jason X - tried to overcompensate for terrible filmmaking with wink wink kitsch “we swear it’s so bad it’s good” cheese
Freddy’s Dead - Laughable powerglove commercial
NoES 5 - just plain bad
Manhattan- Boring, neutered, cheap, clickbait before clickbait
H1 Zombie - How many times can we say fuck in a theatrical release ? Sprinkle in some trailer trash aesthetic and ill advised “character development” and we go from the shape to the shit... at least the sequel had the hospital sequence which frankly was incredible
NoES reboot - unnecessary and bad. jEH only redeeming factor
Ft13th 5 - literal tax write off for Mancuso Jr. maybe owed the mob for coke and gambling debts? Directed by a porn director? Can’t make this shit up. Horrible and not because of Roy Burns
Freddy's Dead is my absolute least favorite.
Unpopular opinion I don’t really like the Friday the 13th movies besides Jason X and Friday the 13th remake
Of all the F13 movies, why X? lol
Well I don’t hate Halloween 3 because it has no Michael Myers I hate it because it’s such an awful movie
I think Friday The 13th 1980 should have been lower on the list, possibly my least favorite in the franchise. Just a bad movie
halloween 1 imo is so overrated. It’s boring, not scary. I get it started everything. But still it’s boring, 3 kills or something. Plus jason would kick michael’s ass.
