Thanks for sharing! For the ignorant trolls out there, Philly is simply sharing information for those who might be interested or mildly curious. We understand that these prices maybe had for less if you are there and know the lay of the land and negotiate..and perhaps work with a contractor and build your custom home. No need to rant about it.. that’s rude! As for some comments about how tiny these homes are or they look like ‘doll houses’.. Understand that this is not your typical US home with more space.. you should see how much smaller a typical Japanese apartment is. These home seem fine for the location.. and price wise, will reflect whatever the market will bear.
Nice houses, but a bit on the small side, but better than others we've seen.. My wife and I just built a two bedroom house in Concepcion Tarlac for around $12,000....of course, the family already owned the land, but it is a really good size home.
It is expensive by Philippines standard. Prices varies by Location and built. Timog Residence I believe is a gated subdivision so mark-up is probably 100%.
Exactly. Only a complete idiot would ever live in such a place. Someone that hasn't a clue as to what real prices are there. Essentially, someone who has shopped online and think that represents the housing market in its entirety. They say its gated but if you know Filipino security you'll know that is a ludicrous term that only inspires confidence in the most gullible of buyers. Just look at videos of Filipino security guards and how careless and thoughtless they are in checking bags. If you look respectable you could bring in a machine gun and they wouldn't have a clue. If there's one word that describes this culture its ambivalence. So you have to be OK with that kind of relaxed attitude otherwise it will piss you off no end. On the bright side there are many aspects of Filipino culture that are fantastically positive. What a surprise: A culture with both positive and negative attributes. Just make sure you are OK with the negatives and you'll love the positives. Like any country.
I'm not planning to have a big family so I think these houses are nice, I understand the concepts cottage house style like a toy land or doll houses it looks fun to live there, tiny house lovers would appreciate this, this maybe not for everyone's taste. The spaces made are functional and efficient. A typical family member don't really maximize the spaces of his home rolling around, some just look for a space to sit, lie, watch t.v. or eat., and besides you have spaces outside which you can use for gardening, family picnics, playing with kids, gaming, watch sunset or other small activities. the price is high but hope it's negotiable.
Thank you for sharing. The houses though look as though they are over decorated to hide the lack of quality in the build. I like tiny homes so the size doesn't bother me.
same here. :) Tiny house lovers really appreciate this. We don't want extra dull spaces if we are practically happy with functional spaces, a typical family member just look for space to sit, lie, watch t.v., cook or eat but they don't roll over the spaces of their home throughout the day. besides the spaces outside are really good for other activities or gardening.
3 million peso for that tiny little house? wow Angeles City is expensive! In Dipolog i can get a house twice that size with lot built in similar Western style for 1 million.
Nice! Got mine. She's ready and waiting....⛪ Our builders were an Engineer and Retired school teacher couple. Very professional and high quality I can post link if you like.
I'm glad you said that they add the up and downstairs as the total metres. Because I am in the middle of building my house now. And the ground floor square meterage is 167 sq mtrs. I was looking at those houses and thinking, something not right. They look a bit small, also have I done my calculations right
Crazy price, 84,000 US dollars. Who ever purchased this house is a fool. They saw you coming. Out Friendship Hwy you can buy a ground lot and have it built to your specs for less than half that in beginning 2017. I helped my friend buy and build everything this one has and laundry for 40,000 US dollars.
I was going to say the same thing those are western prices for western fools You want to live in the Philippines find yourself one of those women they’re there there’s a lot of them they’re super cool and a lot of nice girls in the Philippines Have her buy land Have her do all the work Don’t show your face around You can get that same house the small one for 20,000 OK the $40,000 savings
I added an additional little house to my wife’s family little house last year. Cost me $25,000 all in. Sadly it’s in Quezon City which is a dump where I can’t live. You pay more for these places in your video as it’s gated which is essential if your a foreigner. I’m looking to build somewhere on the coast of Batangas, which will be cheap, but I need fairly good internet which i think might be an issue, unless any of your viewers can suggest somewhere? Thanks for sharing this video.
Maths is off mate. Been here 5 years, prices are defo on the rise. Still probably better off building your own in a more remote province or I guess picking up the houses they are not selling in more mature developments!
Thanks for sharing info. Have seen many of your videos. Don't kill the messanger guys! But I agree no way I would enjoy living in a box that size. Kids cant even play in their rooms. I would be ashamed to spend that kind of money and put my wife and family in it. The hood will look bad soon, with all the crap that will be stored on the front balconies, lol Not to mention all the Laundry hanging outside. Thanks for the warning Philly.
Who ever decorated in the houses needs to leave 1970 behind already. With that price why do these houses not have central heat and air instead of the small wall/window units? Where is your storage at in the attic? Or do these houses even have attics?
Kitchens are tiny, no room to prep food or store items, no storage or space in bedrooms. most bathrooms are small. No Laundry rooms. Seems more like bachelor pads to me than houses.
PhillyinthePhilippines Phill correct me if I’m wrong but as an Expat we can build a home but only lease the land for 25 years with a “ possible “ 25 after that. So as a retire I would still have to do the immigration run every 90 days...? I don’t know why that Government just doesn’t give permanent but revocable status for us bringing our money there to spend but could revoke it if you do something stupid like breaking some laws. This way you don’t have to do the run or get married thanks....👍🏻❤️🇺🇸
Thank you for sharing. These houses are much better in price compared to the one I see in Bohol videos. Hmmm! The houses are actually cute. They are small, but who needs a big house when you retire.
...definitely thanks for the effort to show the choices... cheaper than taking a flight down there ! lol... this will give anyone like me to look at options and whats avail out there near the Clark Corridor which is one of the fastest and more prime location near the NLEX/SCTEX/TPLEX corridor... prices are reasonable to some, and can be pricey for some..and that all depends on your preferences or long term retirement outlook... so do appreciate for taking the time to show us...Salamat Po !!!
Thinking about buying a place, Brian? My wife and I have a place in Magalang that we bought in the mid-80's for next to nothing. Things have certainly changed over the years!
Do they not have central AC units there? I noticed all of them have small window shakers. Is that the norm for a new home? (also thanks for the vid, Philly)
It used to be cheap in the PI which is why expats that where on a small pension and or Social Security could live relatively cheap. But now people with a sizeable sum of money are coming and it isn't as cheap as it was.
Thanks for showing all the available houses in the Angeles City; however, the background of people talking is a bit distracting. Just a little feedback. Thanks again.
Nice doll houses. I've looked at new houses in the Philippines. They had one electrical receptacle for the whole living room. They told me to use extension cords. I told them that is a fire hazard. They had no idea what I was talking about. Plus they don't ground any of the outlets. They also use the wrong gauge for the wiring. I lived in Mindanao for a year and saw the construction techniques and wasn't too thrilled with what I saw. The sizes of the house are exaggerated. They usually include the car port area.
Hey. Great shares. Curious a out the village in back of Clark where the Negreto's resided. A captain Bario leader named Roger... I would hope the all survived the Valcano of many years back.. love your presentations n showing around. Good luck with the store. What other mediums do you use ???

I thought exactly the same and was wondering if I was being unfair. Turns out I'm not alone! I think they are catering to the new middle class there. No way , way too little for the price look like a cartoon house, my bedroom frigerators bigger than my stove for my camping tent is bigger than that one completely nice home for someone who gets taken advantage of the house reminds me of that story The Little Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe
We're not comparing apples to apples though. For $260K there you have a beautiful home with fabulous interior design, an in-ground pool, juccuzzi tub, great lighting, etc. You cannot purchase a new home for under $260K in Central Pennsylvania.

Hi Brian, great video, any chance of looking at more modest homes, say between 1 and 2 million? I have seen some advertised on the Internet, like Deca Clark Resort and other similar ones but it is impossible to tell what they are like by looking online. Any developments with New Clark City? Is that going anywhere? Thank you.
Forget about hoping that ship won't sail you want to find the way rhat is going to gareenty successful things happening for real. because hope never gets you what you want. never forget this.
A condo in makati manila, the prime business district, is the way to go. It goes under your name and easy to rent while out of town. If you are escaping the west, why would you put yourself in the same situation where your wife could kick you out of the house you paid for? Get a condo, open up a franchise, don't get married and you will be the master of your own life. There are plenty of university girls who will date you even if you are older. It's still a different world here.
Foreigners are not allowed to own a property in the Philippines. So what's the point of showing all that houses. If the President will change the law allowing foreigners to own houses it will be good. More property tax be paid to the government.
Floraandfauna B....hmm😠 yabang mo sa lumang studio apartment ka lng nakatira lapit lng sa skid row lugar ng mga itim at latino na illegal aliens...ahahaha 😂
These houses are the model houses. This is the bare minimum house you get when you purchase them. I was told you can purchase the furniture at an extra price.

Don't get mad it's too pricey considering lot's of jobless right now is so high in the Philippine and a lot of listings for foreclosures check it out
I think it's still cheaper to build your own to avoid overpricing by realtors.
You can build for about 1/3 of those prices in the province.
You can build for about 1/3 of those prices in the province.
Agree. It's a lot cheaper or if you have the same budget then you can buy a bigger land and bigger house.
Zaira Okara C. It is nice to build your own according to your needs and satisfaction .
Zaira Okara available land and reliable contractors are hard to find in the Phi.

I think I’m going to tour model homes when I visit new countries. You can learn a lot.
I DID do that in Scotland. It was amazing and priced just right. This was Oct2019

Lovely houses, thank you for sharing god bless.
Love these types of videos... thank you. I watch all your videos, but have only been watching for a year, so I'm catching up...
I like them. I could see myself living in one. The prices doesn't seem too bad either. Thank you for sharing.
3 million peso for that tiny little house? wow Angeles City is expensive! In Dipolog i can get a house twice that size with lot built in similar Western style for 1 million.
3 million is 60000 dollars for 200 sq meters or 2000 sq ft house. that is an average sized house not small at all.
740 sq foot house, 2000 sq foot lot, small house for the money
John Lohr, houses in Luzon really cost a lot of money especially in Metro Manila
John Lohr really? can share some details please
John Lohr Where?
Just found your videos, I've been enjoying them all. I to love the Philippines, thanks much
Really appreciate the info and your tour! I would assume homes like this might be priced even cheaper (due to covid)?
Did a good job of showing the different style homes with the prices.
I noticed no washer and dryer areas or units...
Nice!
Got mine. She's ready and waiting....⛪ Our builders were an Engineer and Retired school teacher couple. Very professional and high quality
I can post link if you like.
Thanks you Brian. This is another informative vlog that you provide from the exciting city of Angeles. Many thanks!
Thank you for the new home tour! Nice to see retirement possibilities:) Love your show!
Brian....thanks for sharing....very well done tour of options. Take care

You could easily build that house for just slightly over 2 million with private contractors
and own the land (wife can) underneath it

You want to live in the Philippines find yourself one of those women they’re there there’s a lot of them they’re super cool and a lot of nice girls in the Philippines Have her buy land
Have her do all the work
Don’t show your face around
You can get that same house the small one for 20,000 OK the $40,000 savings
Who wants to live off of friendship hwy tho?
We like the first and second house very cozy, would love to own a property there in Angeles City. Retiring in six years!!!
Good job =... good video ... no rambling on and on like others . To the point and much appreciated 👍🏻
Tiny tiny living room bedroom kitchen and everything is tiny. Not worth the money.

This was a very interesting and well made clip. Really enjoyed this one. Keep up the great work love all your videos.
Ok, I could see the floor partition in the floor of the master bath shower to keep the water in the shower area in the Spring Bloom house.

That's is great and thanks for the info. We are certainly going to check it out.
Thanks for your time and effort. This gives us some info on the prices of real estate in that area.

Good information. But next time you should have electronic meter to mesuer the spaces. Then we can get the feeling of them. Thanks..
Thinking about buying a place, Brian? My wife and I have a place in Magalang that we bought in the mid-80's for next to nothing. Things have certainly changed over the years!
James O'Connor, do you still have your house for sale in Magalang? My wife and I are looking...
Very informative..thank you..looking forward for more videos..
Thanks for sharing the information.

THANKS BRIAN FOR THE HOUSE INFO....Z......
very nice tour. better than most
It used to be cheap in the PI which is why expats that where on a small pension and or Social Security could live relatively cheap.
Look like the Tiny house addition nice home.
Really interesting! Thank you!
Hey. Great shares. Curious a out the village in back of Clark where the Negreto's resided. A captain Bario leader named Roger... I would hope the all survived the Valcano of many years back.. love your presentations n showing around. Good luck with the store.
What other mediums do you use ???
Love this video I went on tbe website and I like the spring model
Thanks for sharing 👏 & i hit subscription button 👍
My husband & I are interested & planning to buy a house & lot this coming September 2019 in the Philippines
Nice video

Watching from Calgary Alberta Canada 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Even though it is Angeles City, by comparison living in Metro Manila you are looking at double and then some for the Spring Bloom Home type. Very well priced I'd say the Timog Residences.
Great video. I know when my wife and I bought our house, I wasn't expecting that the kitchen cabinets and light fixtures weren't included in the price. It came with those cheap light bulb fixtures. It felt like that old Richard Pryor movie "Moving ". We are adding our touches now though so I can't complain.
mine is the Autumn model, but we did a lot of personal upgrades.
Am wondering if you could check out those Subic homes & posted in RUclips. I've watched the video clip of Subic homes before
Nice tours. Thanks!
Great video! All but the last two for a guy my size (6' 200lbs) were just a little claustrophobic for me.
Thanks sir for all your videos
No central heat & air in the Philippines?
Simply designed houses look good inside and out except the guest bathroom in the last house, it's like, a daily accident waiting to happen bombing someone's head!
Thanks for the showing, wish you included a map or directions for those who are interested in that subdivision...
I provided a link to Timog Residence web page in the description box. The link has all that information.
If you want a big house go to porbes park its quite beautiful and big haus more safety , but if you want the wind smell good and you can plant to ur backyard too go to tagaytay to buy ur own lot and build a house of your own it cist maybe 200, 000 thousand US

they look like playhouses...too dinky
Its a toyland
Yikes! Look at the wallpaper.
I thought exactly the same and was wondering if I was being unfair. Turns out I'm not alone! I think they are catering to the new middle class there. Young couples planning a family that have a little more money than average and want social class so they can feel a little superior to their compatriots. Or they want to feel more western. Social class is a huge detriment in the Philippines. They'll treat you great - then you'll realize its so artificial. Do they respect me or am I a walking ATM? Solution: Spend no money initially on women to screen out the fake golddiggers.
Plus. Have to make sure is not a flooding area
well don't move unless to Baguio
hey Brian, you finally came to visit me, but I'm not there right now, see you next year. :)
I knocked on your door....lol. Now i know where you guys live and next time we will visit.
we will be back in Feb 10th, would be nice to have the gang come visit.
Lovely.
Are there yearly PROPERTY TAXES like in the USA?
I'm guessing yes but I am not sure.
Like the showing, but would like the price given in dollars, thanks.
Great review, many thanks for valuable information my friend.

739 SQ feet ? Way too expensive for the Philippines. It looks like a "tiny house"
Do the houses come furnished like that? Do you have to pay property taxes? Do they have Uber over there? What city is that?
Pretty informative video. Thanks!
There is no woman of any nationality i would trust with that amount of money lol.
Thanks for sharing.
Aloha
edmhie1 Definitely leaving it to my kids.

Never buy there. Always Rent. Great video
Never trust a woman, when they turn on you, it's gone...you stay in control, but make them feel like they have the say...
Not me, let them make their own, like I had to. Why give them that windfall? But to each his own...it's your decision.
Prices do seem a bit high for the exchange rate but then again they are also 10 times nicer then what most people there live in..
Hi... How much is property tax for average home in the Philippine?
Interesting comments - almost nobody considers the location, which really makes the price. What I just took a look, it is a guarded village area with some amenities. So, you can't really compare this to building your own in some less privileged neighbourhood.
As a Finn I also can't understand the urge for large homes. If you have minus temperatures for 4 months a year, then you will want to really enjoy staying inside, but in the tropics, I for one only need home for sleeping and for an odd shower. All the "living" takes place outdoors.
Not my style of houses, though - and where's the pool area?
Hi Brian, great video, any chance of looking at more modest homes, say between 1 and 2 million? So, if my calculations are right, the winter, two-story is about $73,800 US at an averaged exchange rate of P52.00.
What are the municipal house taxes like in an area like that? In Chicago we pay a ton, $400 monthly.
That I could not tell you. Sorry.
Nice little homes, very nice.
Very Nice Homes! Someone that is established with an Asawa. Something to think about.
Salamat Kuya Brian.
