- In todays video I review my new Road Tech 370 motors I bought from RCDamper on ebay.
I bought these motors to run in my Mini-B to get some more speed from it. Unfortunately, they don't fit the Mini-b because the motor shaft is too short to attach the pinion. The Mini-B series attaches the pinion with the pinion teeth close to the motor and the motor shaft is a little too short to tighten the grub screw on to the shaft.
These motors seem well built with replaceable brushed and ball bearings. One thing I noticed is the magnets are SUPER strong!!! Way stronger than any other 370 brushed motor I've tested.
These motors would be great in a 1/18 or 1/16 mini RC where you need a lot of power. Just be sure that your pinion attaches with the grub screw close to the motor bearing and it will be great. I'm disappointed these didn't fit the Mini-B, but hopefully someone will see this video and not make the same mistake.
I tested both motors at 4V. The 27T high torque motor gets about 16500 rpm at 4v, while the 21T high speed motor gets about 20000 rpm at 4v.
I got mine on ebay:

Is it possible to install a extention to the motor shaft?
How long motor shaft is? I thought all motors have standard 10mm length.
The motors look amazing, tell them to manufacture it with a longer shaft!
Were both motors too short or just the 21t?
Both motors are basically the same except for the wind. Both shafts were too short
If you put the sleve that come whit the tamya motor and then instal different pignon gear?
You may be able to get a slimmer pinion...dunno
