You're right! I accidentally put the wrong picture in while I was editing.. didn't even catch that. The new one is predominantly white with a bit of grey and blue. Pinned your comment btw 👍Thanks
The regular Raptor 700 is to much like last year. They skimped out of that one for sure. I do like the red one the best. My favorite all time Raptor 700R is the 2016 SE. Black n yellow with a little bit of white. My second favorite one is probably the red one. On with the compression ratio. A lot of people don't realize that manufacturers give lots of room for modifications. You can easily throw in a 11.5 pistion in it and do other great mods like the block off plate. Get a full exhaust and power commander and intake. That's all you really need. Once you start adding a lot more torque you can jump up 1 tooth in the front sproket and then mess around and perhaps ditch a tooth in the rear too. You can get more speed out of them fairly easy.
The 2016 looks great too! I've thought about doing my top end (piston and cam) I just can't bring myself to do it since my engine runs perfectly ya know? If I ever have a problem or once I put more hours on it I'll definitely rebuild it with a high compression setup. I do have a power commander and i've been looking at duals for an exhaust. I've read the forums and they are a game changer with an intake of course. Thanks for your comment!
Awesome video which gave me a few laughs lol. My dad's thinking about buying a 2024 Raptor 700 this spring so we can ride on Tug Hill here in Upstate NY. We usually take our Polaris Sportsman 850 and his Honda 350X, but the 350X rides rough and he's always wanted a Raptor lol. But yeah, stay safe out there 👍🏼
Did you ever watch ATVondemand? Check out the one where they ride a 49.5 wide Raptor 700 prototype and watch the one where they put the 450R Yamaha up against the Raptor. I wouldn't worry about the piston. I'd just the exhaust, intake, and fuel commander. It really makes so much more power plus you'll still have engine longevity.
Higher octane helps resist pre-detonation and keeps the cylinder cleaner. It is definitely needed with a high compression engine but also with an engine running a more advanced timing curve. So those Raptor 700's with a tuner (like you use when you upgrade the intake or exhaust) should also be careful. Its also not a bad idea when the engine is going to get ran hard in the heat. a.k.a. The sand dunes in the middle of summer.
I live in Arizona where quads are street legal. What is the maintenance and running cost monthly? Riding it on the street. Do you have as much maintenance as opposed to riding it off-road? Would you recommend this quad for a street application? I'd be thinking possible R1 upgrade...
This is exactly what I'm trying to find out. Im also in AZ and im trying to cop an ATV to head to the gym or school or back home. I can't find one that's good or even recommended for street/highway use.
@@S.GRIMES you can drive a ATV on the street, the cops don’t care, as long as you aren’t being an asshole. At least in my city the cops got bigger stuff to worry about. 😂
Also check out 3 MUST BUYS for your New Raptor 700. That guy knows what he is doing. He knows exactly what exhaust to buy. It's the best one for the best power curves. He says dual's rob Raptors of power. You gotta read down in the comments to find out what exhaust he is talking about.
At my place, we ride in an abandon gravel pit. It's got a lake in the bottom level. It's an awsome spot. My son caught a bass In the lake. Lol. It's been abandon for a while.
In some ways yes. There is much more traction so the tires are going to grip more instead of slide. However offroad there are more bumps and rocks that could make your flip
Technically is it but honestly ask yourself….are the cops seriously gong to waste their time pulling you over for riding an ATV? it seems point less and stupid. 😂
The cops don’t care, they’re people breaking into homes and beating residents and people shooting up places. I think the last thing they are worried about is someone riding an ATV.
Mid grade is way better than premium. The entire point of running high octane fuel is fuel economy on most naturally aspirated engines. You are hurting your quads performance outing “better” gas in it..... SMH
SMH..... the entire point of high octane fuel is to reduce engine knock in higher compression engines. Truth is I don't like running ethanol. And where I live all gas except premium has ethanol. It's also worth noting that premium fuel produces relatively the same performance as a midgrade fuel. UNLESS the engine is running hot. That's when premium fuel really produces less performance than midgrade.
The gray/blue bike is a 2017 and those colors were only available that year. (I have those plastics) The 2018-19's are a non metallic flat color.

Brian Sturzenbecher do you mean that 2017-18-19 are plastic !?
How do you get an ATV registered for road use?
I just bought a 2019 raptor. Absolute beast.
buy me one

I'll check him out, thanks!
love the quad vids man keep up the good work and btw are u planing on getting a new exhaust for the 700?

@@S.GRIMESbecause atvs are offroad vehicles, none of them are recommended for street use.
Yo i love these types of vlogs!!!

The pre-2015 bikes make more power with duals because of the twin exhaust head. The Raptor forum has more than a few dyno plots for reference.
No dislikes? What I like to see. Keep up the work mah man
7 now,, they had to come.. always someone you know.

Why would he get pulled over ?
How’d you get you’re bike street legal?
atv: Looks like epic fun me: im on a bicycle lol
Why a twist throttle? I've seen people use twist throttles on banshees but never a raptor.
I've been told it is easier to flip an ATV on paved roads. Is that true? I am a total noob when it comes to this
In some ways yes. There is much more traction so the tires are going to grip more instead of slide. However offroad there are more bumps and rocks that could make your flip
How did u not get a ticket?
What is the difference between this and the r varient
Does anyone know if you can ride these on the freeway in the us legally
I would be blown away if you made a street organ banshee with a carbon fiber body
I'll think about it 🤔 haha. I'm planning on making a yz125 (two stoke) supermoto soonish
is that street leagal?
No lol 😂
Do you need a license for atvs
Does yours have clutch
These vlogs are very good keep doing them!
Isn't it illegal to ride these on streets or roads
Technically is it but honestly ask yourself….are the cops seriously gong to waste their time pulling you over for riding an ATV? it seems point less and stupid. 😂
I love your videos! What camera and mic setup do you use?
Thanks man, I use a gopro hero 4 and a $20 Sony mic with an apadter for the gopro. Thanks for watching!
You’re welcome. I will have to try and find the same one, your audio sounds great. Thanks!

Here's the exact one I have 👌 I have mine wrapped in some felt to dampen any wind noise
He said 5 dollars to fill up I remember those days lol
Sick colors
Where do u live it looks like u live in Sioux Falls
What is the year model on this thing?
2014 raptor 700
Are you allowed to rode on the streets?
Yes jim
I wanna do this and I look it up and I can do it in BC so first I got to buy the Quad and the other things plus proof that it can be on the roads
as soon as i saw they only had 87 i would have gone to another gas station... 91+ or bust
New vid yay!! 🏍️🛣️
Street legal ?
octane rating is a detonation resistance value
I love your bike only bro you toooooo nice
Nice video!
ur laugh is amazeing lol
First like😀
Seems illegal but I ain't complaining

I bet his innone them states where u can ride a quad i wonder if they are easy goin on turn signals and stuff bcuz he has none lol
Hot video!
The blue one is 2017
Do you have a steering damper?
Not yet but I plan on getting one soon
I just bought a 09 Yamaha raptor 700r
rip gas lever :)
I use Vp 110 for my raptor.
Do you think a 17 year old would get insured on a quad?
LewisJones yea but possibly higher premiums unless you're under your parents insurance
Make more videos
