One huge piece of advice for future buyers of this scent. Like many niche scents, you need to try this on this on the skin. Smells much more piny/foresty on paper but so much more complex on skin ( at least mine). must try on skin to appreciate the fragrance. Great review!
This is exactly how I feel about this, I wear it for me because I love the smell so much and how calming it is and I don't care if it gets me compliments or not
My favorite fragrance of all time! GIT might be the most versatile scent as well. I’ve never had performance issues with it. 7-8 hrs every time, decent projection as well.
I love this scent. It’s pretty strong on my skin, so I go with one spray behind each ear and I get a whiff throughout the day. Living in AZ, I wear it year round.
Great video! I agree with what you say about how a grandfather could have worn it, but it doesn’t smell like a “grandfather scent”, totally agree. I think the word for this fragrance truly is “timeless “
My father used to wear this whenever he would get a haircut at the barber’s, which he only ever did for special occasions. This scent always smelled clean, neat, and handsome because that’s what my memory of it is associated with-a fresh haircut. Today, I only ever use it when I get my hair cut, so I can always associate the scent of Creed Irish Tweed with the idea of being properly groomed, haha.
I love wearing this for any occasion, either work or just chilling with my wife and friends it works great. It’s just clean and uplifting. I like that it’s niche but it’s also extremely mass appealing. Something for the heads and for everyone else you run into throughout the day.
Greatest violet leaf in a fragrance of all time!! I share the exact same sentiment as you, i can care less about the interactions ig will garner, i just simply LOVE IT. GIT while being dressed up in a navy/blue or charcoal suit gives it the finishing touch! In my top 5 of all time.
First time I smelled it I didn’t like it at all and couldn’t understand why people like it. A few weeks later I smelled it again and loved it haha. Not sure why I had such a bad first impression. A week later I bought a full bottle and it’s been great ever since. Also crushes it on a rainy day So definitely give it a chance if you have a bad impression initially, you never know 🤙
I got this today I ordered it . I hope it smells good on me . First time buying an expensive cologne . I don’t see myself wearing it all the time . Just rarely using it .
GIT is still today my favorite cologne of all time.. when I first smelled it I was like this is ok not bad.. But it was when I gave it a full wearing I found the magic that blew me away..
I'm new to the fragrance world and just learned about Creed( I thought it was a cologne made by the band lol) .. But, when I smelled GIT I was blown away. I 've been wearing Coolwater for 30 years and I dont think it even compares. plus its the best bottle in the cologne game imo.
Thanks for sharing your views Green Irish Tweed.. To me, the Creed House in general is VERY overrated. I was given an 8ml sample of Silver Mountain Water and was gifted a 100ml bottle of Millesime Imperial. Both are just okay. Nothing that will blow you away, and it seems that performance is an issue with a lot of their selections. However I do believe that their bottle presentations are 🔥 This OG gold Millesime Imperial bottle is tight, and that Green Irish Tweed looks pretty good too. The Creed Viking bottle looks good as well. But for what Creed is asking you to pay, the scent profiles and performance just don't live up to the Creed image.
This is my signature scent. If I could have one cologne for the rest of my life this would be it. To me it’s fresh clean and can’t go wrong. My wife loves smelling this on me. I get 8+ hours on me. I know ppl say the performance isn’t good but on me I get great performance
Agree . Magical scent. I'm envious of your big bottle( not cheap or widely available around where I am). I can't remember the words but yes similar comfort scent
Been looking forward to this one, and I'm glad to see this get your nose and ultimately your approval; a well-crafted fresh fragrance is indispensable, I sometimes I wish I lived somewhere warmer so I could rely on something like this all the time, but alas, I could probably only really enjoy this about half of the year. It has a handsome bottle as well, and hope I can put one on my shelf someday. Have a good day, and see you in the next one.
Definitely more interested in this than Aventus. I have Explorer & Club De Nuit Limited and can’t justify paying so much more. Might get a decant of this
Heyy Melissa thank you for your flawless review! Amazing take on GIT which is one of my favorites from the house of Creed. I would strongly suggest you to try Royal Oud, in my opinion, it’s by far the best creed fragrance ever. Amazing smell profile with an earthy oud tone, but balanced by the citrus, spicy tones. It’s definitely the apex fragrance of creed!
Love at first smell got a bottle not too long ago and ran out so fast had multiple people men and women ask me what I was wearing. Only people I can see not liking it would be teenagers / young people
I agree. I really wanted to like Creed fragrances, but most of them have really bad performance. Not really worth the price. I tried Millisime, Silver mountain water, Aventus, GIT, royal oud. Aventus isn’t anything special as people make it to be. I get a few hours at most, and even after spraying it doesn’t seem to have much projection. Out of all them I tried, GIT and Royal Oud are the better performing ones. Millesime was a joke. I think 30 mins and it was gone, reapplied, 30 minutes gone again lol.
@@shaikzamryzamry8002 No it isn't. Look at all the recent reviews. Same claim as mine. Aventus has been watered down to piss water. Creed was bought out by Black Rock. They're all about profit, reduce concentration and increase price. People will still buy because "Oh, it's Aventus, the best mens fragrance". The hype will always be there, but it's a mediocre fragrance at best. If you truly think it's any good, that probably says more about your taste and how low your standards are for premium priced products. So many better options.
When watching Fragcomm review this scent, they made sure to describe it as anything BUT a way fancy Irish Spring soap scent, and that is exactly what it smells like. Maybe 40’s-50’s year old me will like, but for now? Nah. I don’t like any green fragrance so far
Could you re review this one and say if you’ve gotten complimented from this one. I recently purchased and like but might have buyers remorse….? I need some reassurance I guess
My best Green scent but like most other Creeds, performance is piss poor. Only Royal Oud and some Aventus project and/or last all. So this house was in for me 10yrs ago but now, can’t buy em cos it’s just too overpriced. My best from them is Spice and Wood
I tried this. It smells good, but not nearly $400 good. Asked my family(us being an Irish family) what they thought. They said it just smells good, nothing more. Once they found out the price, they laughed. Personally there are other niche fragrances with very similar vibes that are cheaper, more complex, better performance, and are more well received than green Irish tweed.
@@blackknightdl I did hear about people saying that. I’m very certain this was a recent Bach. So my comment on it was likely on a recent one. I can’t speak for those who have the older ones.
You know my daughter has a thing for men’s colognes and after watching RUclips videos I didn’t realize that there are a lot of women who prefer men’s colognes and can actually rock them without issue. I bought a cologne without testing it first Burberry Brit and it was just too feminine for me.
Silver mountain water is eh for her now she uses other scents git better for her. It doesn't smell like a grandpa git same for platinum egoiste and Fahrenheit just masculine and nice
You do realize colognes/perfumes expire in 3-5 years even when storing them in optimal conditions? Unless you use all of thise sprays in 3-5 years, you probably have a ton of perfumes that have lost their good notes or has gone bad 😂
Urgh! A OLD cologne from 1985 still in the SUPER HIGH PRICE range? FOR SHAME. Isn't it about time that Creed Fragrances lowered the price on the OLD Green Irish Tweed so regular folks can afford it? I mean come on even Dana got it together & lowered their English Leather to affordable prices. Shame on Creed Fragrances for selling an OLD COLOGNE GIT for more than $80 for 3.4oz. Asking $300-$400 for a 3.4oz bottle that dates back 38 years is SUPER GREEDY. Maybe Creed should change the company name to GREED FRAGRANCES.
Ho Melissa, where can you look up Creed batch codes? I just got my bottle of green irish tweed and it does not come up on batchcodechecker. Can you help or if anyone else knows how? Thanks

Yeah it smells amazing very realistic

It’s a classic high quality scent. Can wear it on any occasion probably from March to October.

This is a great scent, it’s very mature and classy so I would recommend it for older gentleman.

Royal Oud is a divine scent! Many refer to it as “Royal Cedar” - I agree.
i've considered getting this one, so nice to see you review it
Loved the video! 🥰 I agree with everything you said about GIT, one of my favorite scents!
The best thing about this Melissa? It's a grower, if you like it now you will LOVE it in time
Between Percival, silver mountain water and GIT. Which would you recommend and why? 👀
Love at first smell got a bottle not too long ago and ran out so fast had multiple people men and women ask me what I was wearing. Only people I can see not liking it would be teenagers / young people
I see you're doing much better. I'll try a sample of this.
GIT is just a banger flat out
Green Irish Tweed has been watered down in the recent years but it's still one of my favorites and viking as well
For whoever that purchase this. Just know it absolutely smells ultra realistic! This is a very easy to like fragrance almost everyone will like it.
Been using it for 15 years….. blind buy, cant go wrong.
I have Perfume Parlous clone of GIT. The Iris I 100% get. This reminds me of a lush, green field on a hillside.
I prefer Al Haramain L’Aventure Knight. It performs better in projection and longevity. I’ve also received more compliments on it than with GIT.
My first ever Creed...20 years ago. Still wear it. Thanks for the review.
Chez Bond has a similar DNA, instead of that Ambergris sandalwood dry down CB dries down with a decent Tea note. I layer GIT with Molecule 02...dope.
Okay. Polo Green. Willing to try?

Armaf Tres Nuit is the closest thing I’ve had to this fragrance. Classic
It's better performing than Cool Water and the quality is, of course, another level.
I think this is my signature scent
GIT is beast-mode freshie.
I have yet to put my nose on this. Heard a lot of good reviews
This one is always a hit for me.
Can’t wait to in field test this out 😈😈
Fantastic review
Can u please do a video comparing it to it's most popular clone, Armaf Tres Nuit.
Where and how many sprays you apply? I did like 3 and think that was almost to much, very strong i think
💚 GIT but rock Armaf’s Tres Nuit for better performance
I love Creed fragrances but Green Irish Tweed is the only fragrance they make I don’t mind paying full price for.
