Thanks for posting, those spring shocks were kicking my butt trying to install them on my TB. Everytime I jacked them up the shock would run away from the mount. I finally gave up because it was getting too dark.ii would have never thought of jacking it up on the control arm. Definitely going to give it a shot tomorrow.
What worked better for me on my 98 Silverado, since I didn't have all the Jack's was to use a ratchet straps and compress the whole shock to about the length of the old shock and then I hooked up to my travel trailer and raised the back end of the truck a little with the Jack but still keeping the tires on the ground. Then once the new shocks were attached on top I made minor adjustments and then hooked up the lower bolt, released the strap and all was good.
Good video. I too, have about 2 inches or rear sag with weights distribution hitch installed. I may have to try these coilovers . Try replacing bump stops with Timbrens or Supersprings brand..They are bigger, taller and beefier all around.
They are a good shock. Put them on my 2016 grand caravan. However they squeak.. Have to spray them on a regular basis.. Hate that squeaking...Use silicone spray
Looking to put on my 2016 GMC Sierra 4x4 to tow an Airstream travel trailer. My current issue is “squish” when on the interstate, mostly transitioning from a bridge to/from the interstate. Anyway, do these help dampen the “squished” ride feel?
They did help me with my Jayco x23b probably lighter than your Airstream but yes it did help me a lot plus I have the weight distribution and helped me immensely again I had an ultra light I was trying to find the same ones for my Silverado 2500 but they don't seem to have it they might have it for 1500 GMC Sierra
If WDH is set up correctly, you should be able to remove the back wheels and the truck will be supported by the tension of the hitch, sounds like the hitch adjustment needed fine tuned. Your rotors rusted because some wheel cleaners are a mild acid, that will cause immediate rust. Decent video, I'll probably be adding these to my 99 Tahoe soon as I will be hauling a couple hundred pounds of tools in the back on a regular basis, the factory leaves are pretty soft, it likes to squat.
I wonder if I could use these when I lower my 2000 Chevy Tahoe. I also pull a small trailer but I want to install a 2/4 drop springs and drop keys and spindles
Have you seen the Gray coupler facing upwards does the correct way of installing it and when I 1st got them I was trying to figure it out so I called the company That's the correct way
It was smooth Not dramatically noticeable that would Make someone unhappy with the purchase they did their job when I was towing my camper Took a little bit of stress off The last of me a long time
Adam Bleech they're actually not that high once the vehicle is completely on the ground upon doing this video I can't remember if I had one side up and one side down or if I release the vehicle down I apologize for No follow-ups but they do hold up very nicely and did well Towing my 31.5 foot camper I'm impressed
Saul Luciano I got these straight from Amazon but you can check on Google and find out the proper size actually Amazon will let you know if it fits your vehicle I told a 6000 pound camper with a Chevy Trailblazer actually the vehicle you see on the video and it did well
Well I whent to pep boys but the fucking guy there give me those and the ones I have are the normal ones I will install it later today and see if I do it well thank you very much for your help with the video.
Saul Luciano for me it was an easy install pretty much. Jack helped me a lot make sure you connect the top first then gently with a small piece of wood block on the jacket and lift up slowly until you get it right censored put the ball through and call it a day good luck
Eddie Navarette did pretty decent to this time I don't know how many months I've had them on there so far but they do what they say they're supposed to so it's great
If you're asking once I attach my camper did it level out yes it did pretty nice too again I always use my weight distribution by husky to make sure I remain that way also my sway control arm but yes the shocks are smooth till this day
Oh okay no I left the rear up because this way when my trailer pushes me down I leveled out I did not get a leveling kit for my Trailblazer being as I do tow a trailer I don't mind the rear end being up Factory spec wise

Are these pretty comfortable? Or more heavy duty/rigid?
Could you install these without the black coil because they still have compression and are the same length as a regular shock absorber

Same here. 99 Tahoe with 58,000 original miles just to soft and bouncy for towing..although I do like other things soft and bouncy, lol
Great video. I appreciate the info
Good lookin out...I'm puttin on to carry more weight...keep turning that wrench... one love
Thanks

Not sure Do you research
@@campaholic8998 ok thanks
Is the monroe load adjusting shock you installed upside down? Or is the shock right-side up?
Have you seen the Gray coupler facing upwards does the correct way of installing it and when I 1st got them I was trying to figure it out so I called the company That's the correct way
@@campaholic8998 thank you so much! I just put these on my 2009 ford ranger :)
How are they doing?
Helped alot man!!! Installing on my jeep commander
I'm super happy man glad it worked out 👍
I have these on my 97 GMC pickup but I can't find anything for the front.
Are those the stock bump stomps or load leveling ones? Man those look beat to hell, never seen that before
Stock
Did you get a firmer ride?
It was smooth Not dramatically noticeable that would Make someone unhappy with the purchase they did their job when I was towing my camper Took a little bit of stress off The last of me a long time
Nice I got mine on an 06
They're really easy to install supposedly rated for just over 1,100 pounds
How long do these shocks measure ? @Camp a holic
would you send me the link of these Monroe load leveler shocks?
Amazon
Do you have the same suv
Are these adjustable? I'm building an off-road rig and that much height can't be matched in the front.
Ok, thank you for the info. Glad to see some of us are still driving the worlds most hated truck.
Hi Adam, I am building an offroad rig and was looking for the cheap alternatives. did you use them? what did you finally settle for?
Nice video do you think those shocks works with an astro van to pull a triller.

Looks nice, did these work well for supporting trailer load?
wakken 1994 yesterday was the first time I got to attach the trailer they worked wonderfully smooth ride so yes I like them
Sweet, might have to install a pair on my derby car hauling envoy to eliminate the squat.
ya those look good I just got mine for my Silverado it sags a little
wakken 1994 Yes actually the ride was much smoother so they handled well
Nice. Buying those for the front of my truck and some other brand with the same design for the rear.
Eddie Navarette thanks
Eddie Navarette did pretty decent to this time I don't know how many months I've had them on there so far but they do what they say they're supposed to so it's great
Hi
Good job ¡
Thank you sir it was very helpful:).?
How did it level out?
?

@@campaholic8998
I was meaning did the back level with the front? Or did you upgrade the front to these same type of monroes
Oh okay no I left the rear up because this way when my trailer pushes me down I leveled out I did not get a leveling kit for my Trailblazer being as I do tow a trailer I don't mind the rear end being up Factory spec wise
Oh ok. Thinking of putting these in front. I have air in back. Probably do everything the same. Thanks
You're taking a chance getting hurt where you put that jacket you can never trust a jack like you got it
LOL thank you but the jack is not what's holding up the vehicle I have jack stands as well
Why does it look like it is upside down?
It's not it comes with instructions and actually literally tells you which way they go
