- In 2018, over 15 years after allegedly committing five heinous murders, two amoral men lacking strong convictions or regard for truth are put on trial, and will freely adopt any line of reasoning if they feel it will work in their favor.
This is a film we have produced in collaboration with Andy Boyer and Dave Lennie, and is a new brickfilm in their series featuring the characters Biff Feedback and Mario Stradivarius; a series which dates back to 1989. This is the sequel to our favourite brickfilm, the 2003 Biff and Mario film 'Taco Trouble', and it has been created using a script originally written in 2003 (and slightly revised by Andy Boyer in 2018). This film utilizes the actual, original minifigures of Biff, Mario, Doktor X, and the henchman, and also features the digital mouth animation shapes created in 2003 for the original Taco Trouble, all of which were sent to us by Dave Lennie. Something agreed upon at the start of production was that it would just look wrong for Biff and Mario to move at a more modern standard of animation, so we decided to shoot the film at 24fps with the camera moving on ones (24fps), most characters moving on twos (12fps), and Biff and Mario moving on threes (8fps), with Biff and Mario's movements also kept to basic gestures reminiscent of the original films.
Conversely, something else we agreed upon was that other technical qualities ought to be brought up to date, rather than making a film masquerading as being older than it actually is. Andy Boyer suggested that the more serious the setting was made to look, the more it would heighten how ridiculous the events taking place in it are, which was a notion I quite liked, because I had just wanted to build a fancy set for extra swag. Given that, unlike our other films, we did not create the script or much of the audio, we made a concerted effort to step up our game for the set design, cinematography, and animation.

Uh ok, so this might just be one of the most incredible brickfilms I've ever seen. The cinematography is absolutely outstanding. I can't state enough how much my mind is blown by how beautiful this film is. I love how Biff and Mario are animated at slower frame rates than everyone else. The monkey's movements are so smooth I can't even comprehend how it's possible. The script is hilarious as heck, I laughed at loud multiple times. Fantastic work, Penta. This was so worth the time, blood, sweat, and tears you put into it.
This is lego movie level and that was just cgi while this was real stop motion.
Plus that choppy animation style is the cherry on top. Such a good stop motion. This guy deserves every last bit of support he can get.

Ever since this video came out I was very fascinated with it and I very much love it. Cant believe it came out 2 years ago. You have also changed the thumbbail, which looks better than the OG one. Anyways, now Ill give my review.
The brickfilm opens strongly with the large-brickbuilt courthouse, despite of this shot being here twice and only for a couple seconds you really get an appreciation for what Penta has done for this, the two people chatting makes it really realistic and nice. It opening to a nice music track, showing the beatiful set design and references to the OG Taco Trouble. It saying 2018 instead of 2021 was a nice refrence to the script rewrite. The Judge's voice was perfect, and the reveal of Jingles was too. Jingles also has the perfect voice and mic quality. I love how you featured brickfilming icons such as Gus, Bum, Skelly, guy from the Gaunlet and so much more of them. The face tracking software done by Brian Wilis was so well done. The Monkey has perfect animation despite his feet being hands, to the point of where you think you didnt use sticky-tac. Jinkles feels like the perfect villian for this. The jokes are very funny. The runtime is 10 minutes, but feels like 3. This brickfilm is perfect on every minor detail. I was introduced to Biff and Mario from your Brickfilm history videos, so theyre house joke sadly didnt make me laugh, but it was a nice reveal tho.
Overall this brickfilm is very good, definatly one of my favourites, hope TT3 comes out.

This is incredible, just beautiful animation and set. The comedy is so well thought off. This is glad,y one of my favorites, very unique! I love that the guys who killed the 5 guys were like animated differently than the others, that just gives even more uniqueness!

I love the little details in the crowd animation at the start. For example, the guy that starts farting after eating a taco. Tiny details like that bring a lot of life to the scene even if not a lot of people notice them.
The lighting was so cinematic, the voice acting was on point, the comedic lines were great and the animation was bloody good!
