TCG, Food, good infos. What's not to like. Subscribed! One thing I like is that you really collect these TCGs rather than showing off how much each cards worth in the market (which might not always ring true or outdated). Keep up the good work and all the best completing your collection!
Wait a sec I didn't realize you were in the GTA, too. Awesome! For singles I've been to Untouchables (both locations), a local comic con, and also bought online from Deck Out Gaming and 401 Games. Still trying to find out which will be my go to, but I just compare prices from these mainly atm. Love your content! (Will you be goin to the Toronto Regionals in December? I think they'll have a Pokemon Center pop up store and also I think people are down to trade at that too!)
Haha yes I am! :D You should also check out Banana Games & hobbies at Downtown toronto and also Darkfox TCG in Hamilton are really good to. Both of which are far depending on how far you live. Thank you so much again! I really appreciate it confuzzlld! :D I havent thought about attending the Toronto Regionals but we'll see. Already got family plans going on but if I have time i'll try to show up.
Those products you listed and see are ones that I got gifted or purchased previously that I opened before this challenge. The $100 challenge that I started is to show that you can finish most of the set by buying singles instead of buying more Scarlet and Violet Packs or Products. Hope this helps!
Hmm with the products I bought, I would say its $350.00 + $100.00 in singles. But If I didn't buy the products when the set came out I could get to 90% completion of the Scarlet and Violet Base set with close to $220-$250. Over time of course and not when the set came out immediately.
Ahh I’m sorry that happened. It’s tough, but I learned that cards always come and go for sure. Hopefully you and your friend have other cards that you can trade amongst!
You paid twice as much for the reverses than you should tbh. At 51 reverses + $3 (for the ex's as locals sell them for $1) + 4 free common cards (I assume they threw those in for free, otherwise $0.04) + tax = you would have had to pay ~$0.30 a reverse to reach the $22... Most local stores will sell them for $0.15-0.25 a reverse, or if you shop tcgplayer and find a seller with a bunch of reverses (so you don't have to pay shipping more than once) you can find them from $0.04-$0.15 a card (which is about market for a set 3-4 sets old). Which would have came out to like $6-8 for all the reverses
I totally understand where your coming from and I would say I agree as well. However the cards that I bought was actually from 2023 August and when I first released this video it was about 7-8 months after I bought them so the prices have definitely dropped since that time. Also the prices are in CAD as well, not sure how much of a deference it is with US but that is also a factor as well. Hope this helps!

How can you do it with a $100 if you spent more than that just buying the 2 ETBs, the Stadium, the bundle and the box ... ?

What was your total cost? Collecting this set with my 5 and 7 yr olds.

I know that pain , but instead of a shop not updating their website, my friend who left a card for me had traded it away to someone else
Ahh I’m sorry that happened. It’s tough, but I learned that cards always come and go for sure. Hopefully you and your friend have other cards that you can trade amongst!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
