  • This is an overview of the Ademco 685 central station receiver. This one was manufactured in 1986, however the software has been upgraded since then. Its a great receiver that works well for older formats and Contact ID. I still am planning to make demonstrations on the Radionics 6500 and 6600, and the Silent Knight 9000 receivers at some point, they will just take more time since they are more complicated.

13:23 That tone sequence sound lik one of the stock hospital EKG tones. The lower tone just needs to be double the length.

At 13:55 I think it didn't show the first pulse round as you expected because reports only show up after the call has been completed, and the valid LED did not light for the first round off that event.

Yeah I later realized I was getting it confused with the 660 receiver, where it shows the code before the second round comes in. On the 685 I guess it just ends up printing it twice for every report.
