Hi Leon, thank you for your many informative videos on this device. Do you happen to have suggestions for other synths in a plug that are similar to this one? I found at least one but it doesn't look as malleable as this one.
Thanks! and Hi! I'm afraid they're quite rare. I remember a german one with a sampler & PC editor (but can't find the link). I did found this one: hpi.zentral.zone/flash. However, they don't come as cheap as the dsp G1 did. A less sexy alternative (more powerful synths, but more latency) would be an android phone/tablet running caustic or sunvox using midi-usbcable OTG adapter.
@@leondustar Ah yes, that one looks interesting but is a little pricey - though props to them for creating such a thing. I've had this machine for years and decided to unearth it again so I could escape my computer. I'm most certainly going to purchase your volumes 1-3, all the custom esx packages I've made for myself in the past are quite disorganized. Thanks again, you are a champion to share all this info.

You've mentioned in the video that you have assigned every knob on ESX for different actions.
Can you please explain step by step how did you do it?
For example, my FX knobs for detuning are working by default as your knobs, but the Pitch/Glide knob doesn't control the Attack parameter.
How did you assign it?

im travelling right now, but i remember setting only keyboardpart 2 to midichannel 1. Then in midi utility (shift+15) i assigned all knobs to cc's (midicontrollers) which matched the dspg1 cc's.

It seems that you can only sample the chip sound only when you are using "pattern" mode on ESX. In "sample" mode I can't use the keyboard parts for playing.
So, it's not so comfortable to tweak this sound and add FX of ESX in real-time.
Was it the same for you? Am I missing something?
@@GreatKukuruzo correct, i'm wondering though which midichannel the keyboard is using in sample mode (that might make it work). i have tried various ways to use the dspg1. i remember assigning a particular dspg1 parameter to the level-knob of keyboardpart 2, which would fadeout the dspg1 at 100% (making it crossfade between the keyboardpart & dspg1)

i have esx 1 and es2. I like both of them, but I would start with an electribe 2.

@@andreikatsalkin с помощью этого чипа ESX становится немного EMXом, появляется синтезатор, его можно семплировать, накладывать эффекты ну или играть его звуками живьем. Очень крутая вещь на мой взгляд. Не нужно скачивать семплы звуков, а можно напрямую с чипа их брать и корректировать + он полифонический, так что сыграть аккорд теперь можно без заморочек. До EMX конечно не дотягивает, но все равно очень круто за 1000 рублей

@@chellentano79 привет. походу будет сложно ее найти. производитель - немного долбанутый мужик из швеции и вроде уже не продает их, только у перекупов если брать, но чет дорого. я за 15 баксов брал. Поищи где-нить еще, вот например, это оно core-electronics.com.au/dsp-g1-voice-chip.html
