Hello,i will need to serve NS in another 3 years aft i finish my poly..and i am keen in the singapore K-9 unit,just wondering if its possible to to volunteer for this unit,or to request for it when the time comes?
Now I'm in ptp phase in tekong just pass my ippt after I pop I wan at posted into K-9 unit I love dogs. I want to be posted out into k9 than going command school

Hi,I've alrd done my army check up and will be serving NS in a short time. I would like to ask the admin or anyone reading this,I have great interests in dog training and have been helping dog organisation to foster dogs and some work in the shelter.
I know that it's all based on luck for me to get into the k9 unit for both MP/Police,but if i sign on with the army will it increase my chance? Upon expressing my interest. And I am good with dog discipline matter,have experiences handling big problem dogs in the shelter
Also,what do they look at for the requirement? I am all healthy likely to be pes B-A.

LittleGentleBeast Well, during your BMT, if your PC ask you what you intend to do after you POP, you can say you wanna go K9 section..
Couple of ways to kena, either kena MP or kena regimental police . Both also got chance to go K9 section.
If kena regimental police (Security Trooper), you can opt for K9 training.
